Mike Johnson is a puppet drunk on the Kool-aid

Unqualified intellectually which is Trump's ideal candidate, and eager to confirm or do anything Tramp asks. What breed of dog would fit that description? None I think except maybe a little lap dog that keeps licking its master and asking nothing in return except to be in its presence.

A sock-puppet! But whose hand is up his backside at any given moment is an open question.

In fact, Johnson could be called "the open question" from now on. Hands on his knees, question WIDE open

Why is no one talking about the poison pill in this bill that would make it impossible for the judiciary to enforce contempt charges against the administration. It would allow them to be even more lawless than they already are.

This to me is the most heinous thing in this bill - it would give trump the right to do anything he wants LAWFULLY!!!!! Please please work to remove this from the bill in its entirety!!!!!

This needs to be talked about more! This is the hidden agenda that can ruin everything.

Thank for mentioning this. Yes, it would literally make trump a king as no federal court could block any of his policies. MAGA was looking for a way to block the courts. Forcing us into a strict monarchy is their answer.

agreed! I am shocked, that it has not come up! I understand that the cuts they are discussing will affect just about every person listening, one way or another. BUT, if that one sentence is allowed to stay in, we will loose out democracy. The Judicial system is our only line of defense right now against these lawless people.

Catherine, Let's trust the Dems have already put their energies to neutering this clause.

Sure, this was 'slipped' in hoping we wouldn't notice. But let's trust our Dem Reps to put it right. I, for one, am calling all my reps tomorrow to underscore THIS and other, most important aspects of this lousy bill...

YES! Couldn't agree more...!!! This may be the most dangerous aspect of the bill in the near and distant future. Let's presume that those Dems WILL NOT allow that to stand but have already written their Amendment deleting or editing it to impotence...

At least the poison pill that was selling off half a million acres of public land got removed, but I’m surprised the fact he’s essentially bypassing the judiciary through law is slipping by unnoticed.

Nice job! Although Lauren Underwood is a representative from Illinois, not Ohio.

Yet the cognitively impaired clown wants a parade and how much have we footed the bill for his golfing? This is beyond disgusting.

Thank you Ben for doing these interviews. Very informative. Maybe the Republicans need to be reminded that they work for their constituents & not the President.

Thank you, Ben, for your excellent work in clarifying the complexities of the Republican-majority House of Representatives' budget bill for U.S. citizens. Your reporting was outstanding, and MTN provided a valuable service. Thank you.

Project 2025 is behind this disastrous bill which intends to destroy democracy and make us poor, sick and subservient to the billionaires who plan to run the country. We need to look into the people behind P2025 and take them down before they finish their plan to destroy us and our country. President Biden warned us about the evil lurking and no one took him seriously.

Thank you for these short interviews- it was so encouraging to hear the Democrat pushback was passionate and loud. We need those in political positions to be the loudest because they have the access to media and other platforms. These messages should be heard all over our local news stations everywhere.

Thank you for your energy, passion and commitment to bringing clarity to an exceedingly murky looking political landscape. I wrote a song today to the tune of the Beatles’ OB LA DI OB LA DA. I just had to do something. Inaction will leave you in the slough of despond.
