A Message to Stephen Colbert
By Ben Meiselas
Dear Stephen,
Now that your contract with CBS is officially over, I wanted to personally send you this letter about why I think you should partner with the MeidasTouch Network.
Thursday night, you closed out the Late Show with exactly the grace and warmth that makes you irreplaceable in American television. Paul McCartney. Jon Stewart. Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel, John Oliver. Only you could turn a cancellation into a celebration.
What CBS did to you was pathetic.
We all paid the price.
You called the Late Show “the joy machine.” Your bandleader, Louis Cato, said it was a reciprocal emotional relationship with your audience. You said you didn’t just love doing the show for people. You loved doing it with them.
That’s exactly the kind of host we want at MeidasTouch.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the door is open. Wide open.
Our network now averages billions of views. We outperform the major networks in digital views. And we have no FCC approvals to chase, no settlement checks to cut to Donald Trump. We are fueled by the Meidas Mighty, and they are extraordinary. They, too, are a joy machine.
The joy machine doesn’t have to stop. It just needs a new address.
Let’s make history together.
To everyone reading this: our ability to extend this invitation, and to mean it, exists because of you.
Please subscribe today if you can.
You are the reason we can be the home that corporate media no longer is.

It warms my heart to read your offer to Stephen Cobert. I feel like I have lost a friend. I would love to see him here. I watch you daily. Thank you.
This makes me so happy… come on Colbert, join us!🤞
