Actually, Skip, I was a Republican for 45 years until trump rode down that escalator. I didn’t know anything about him, so I read up on him. He was not someone I could stomach to vote for, so I voted for Hillary and Democrats straight down ballot. I became a registered Democrat and have been one ever since. The Republican Party that I grew up with is long gone, replaced by this MAGA ideology, if you can call it that.

Though I do not make claims of election interference here in the USA, it would be consistent (and it would certainly make sense) that Musk interfered with election(s) here. I hope you are aware that President Macron of France has accused Musk of election interference in various places internationally, and specifically in Germany. Though I do not make claims of election interference here in the USA, it would be consistent (and it would certainly make sense) that Musk interfered with election(s) here. However, given President Musk's stranglehold on the US government and his personal SS force of techies, I believe it would surprise no one that the possibility of uncovering such behavior would be very difficult.

You can't prove a negative. And I find it entirely possible, plausible even, that the election was "bought" -- which isn't illegal, thanks to the "conservative" (un)Justices -- or "rigged." Voter suppression was definitely a factor. I'd be over the moon if anyone had the evidence to take to court and get the election overturned.

That would also have given the Blues a chance to weigh in on a VP. I think Walz being chosen is another reason Harris lost. Then there's that Biden disaster at the first debate. There were many other missteps made by the Dems, too many to go into here, but the main thing is the Dems ignored what many Americans thought was the most important issue -- the economy -- and tried to make it another Dem vs. Trump contest.
