When it's a democrat, or mass shooting, it doesn't say horrific, or any wording that makes it bad. Just something that happened. Need to start playing the game
For my edification? When Martin Luther King was killed, it was still called "murdered." With Robert F Kennedy was assassinated it was because he was Senator Robert F Kennedy. Same time period, except the distinction was one was an elected official, the other was not. I guess now anyone who has been mentioned in any form of communication is assassinated. Good to know - an undereducated rabble rouser with a following is now considered worthy of the designation "assassinated." Consider me edified.

Let's put it this way. Starting a response using terms like "absolutely" is just a bit off putting. It's a bit more user friendly by starting with .....oh say "this it the definition I found." Just a small thing......never quite thought of substack as a debating society...

Why are we getting caught up in words? This is a red thing they do all the time. Call it what ever you want. It doesn't matter. Wasn't John Lennon assassinated? It doesn't mean the person is a good guy using that term. Just means they were a well-known person. He was an international figure sadly. 110K marched in the UK for anti-immigration and they threw in Kirk because of the timing. Again suspicious.

This is so infuriating. The comments I've read that got people fired are all rational observations on what happened. They don't celebrate the man's death in any way. It smacks of the "obeying in advance" that we've seen so much of lately.

That's good to hear, but I think we're gonna need a bigger boat. And, a lot of ongoing work to keep this from being done again. We need to strengthen organizations like the ACLU.

Am I sorry that he was killed in front of his children? Yes. Am I sorry that he’s not here anymore? No. He was a disgusting human being. His ideology was cruelty and division.
