No purchases, etc. But I need access to the Internet for news, emergency alerts, etc. So unless you can give me a cogent reason on why I should stay off the Internet for an entire day and who it is going to hurt if I do, that's not happening.

But if we all cut back at some point big business figures out they are not making as much money...even passing the increase in costs from tariffs on to the consumers only helps so much...keept profits as they are now, but if there are less products sold, not matter how much higher costs are passed on, that hurts their bottom line. In some cases a lot....did you see the story about Canadian potatoes not coming to the US? Well there was a whole lot of stuff I had no idea about, but what the story said was that Canadian potatoes are way better than one in the US and they fry up much better and now they are not coming into the US and customers are finding out that the fries are a lot more expensive and basically horrible....just have yucky taste and consistency and they are not buying them (literally). Fries have always been sort of a money maker for diners/fast food places, so this makes a difference. If we all stop buying all the stuff we can possible do without I think it will make a difference but it has to be long term. The business, which is all the GOP cares about may start to demand some economic changes and the GOP will respond to that...they will be able to hang on to their cruelty in starving millions of persons around the world, rounding up persons with brown skin like they are livestock, laughing at the horrors in the concentration camps..all they will have to give up is their support of trumps' tariffs.

I would hope being a consumer with the choice to NOT BUY goods and services would be a choice you can make. Especially AMAZON. Well, I'm not staying off the Internet. Who are you actually boycotting by not being on the Internet? My phone runs off the Wi-Fi in my home and I'm not turning off my phone for the day. The rest of it, I support. No purchases, etc. But I need access to the Internet for news, emergency alerts, etc. So unless you can give me a cogent reason on why I should stay off the Internet for an entire day and who it is going to hurt if I do, that's not happening.
And the best we can we need to cut down of shopping for ever...a one day boycott does nothing much as things will just pick up the next day/week. But if we all cut back at some point big business figures out they are not making as much money...even passing the increase in costs from tariffs on to the consumers only helps so much...keept profits as they are now, but if there are less products sold, not matter how much higher costs are passed on, that hurts their bottom line. In some cases a lot....did you see the story about Canadian potatoes not coming to the US? Well there was a whole lot of stuff I had no idea about, but what the story said was that Canadian potatoes are way better than one in the US and they fry up much better and now they are not coming into the US and customers are finding out that the fries are a lot more expensive and basically horrible....just have yucky taste and consistency and they are not buying them (literally). Fries have always been sort of a money maker for diners/fast food places, so this makes a difference. If we all stop buying all the stuff we can possible do without I think it will make a difference but it has to be long term. The business, which is all the GOP cares about may start to demand some economic changes and the GOP will respond to that...they will be able to hang on to their cruelty in starving millions of persons around the world, rounding up persons with brown skin like they are livestock, laughing at the horrors in the concentration camps..all they will have to give up is their support of trumps' tariffs.
