Today, Ben continues to lay out key areas where Trump's administration is likely to act aggressively against democracy and the American people:
Ben introduces Trump's rumored top pick for Attorney General, Mike Davis, who has made controversial statements on social media. Davis has been threatening Trump’s political opponents, including saying New York Attorney General Leticia James should be sent to a gulag. Davis’ posts have advocated for intense loyalty to Trump and to imply retribution for those who opposed Trump’s first term.
Davis also suggested Trump will pardon January 6th defendants and initiate “mass deportations.” He reportedly has “lists” targeting political adversaries, and has made comments suggesting harsh treatment for immigrant families, including against so-called “anchor babies” who are legal U.S. citizens.
Meanwhile, Trump reportedly plans to avoid appointing former military generals to his national security team, instead favoring corporate executives, including names like UFC President Dana White. Trump's team is also reportedly considering appointing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to oversee health policy. Plans include removing fluoride from water and opposing vaccines, which will be hugely detrimental to public health.
Ben also highlights growing concerns about how Trump's proposed universal tariffs on imported goods may lead to inflation and higher interest rates. Business owners are now expressing fears that these tariffs will drive up costs, with some companies even telling their employees to not expect Christmas bonuses because of the anticipated price hikes.
Of course legacy media is just now reporting on the harm Trump’s tariffs will cause, while we here at MeidasTouch reported on them every day leading up to the election.
Finally, the FBI has noted a sudden coordinated campaign of racist text messages being sent to Black Americans all over the country, including to Black children, that have been attributed to Trump supporters, causing heightened national security concerns.
