Raises questions about Mr. Todd Blanche too. What's the nature of the relationship between Todd/the DoJ and Maxwell - why she spoke openly with Todd... and then got privileges besides. The whole thing stinks... smells of rot, corruption and protecting the pedos.

Renee Goodman's avatar

Judy, Blanche was the Dumpster’s private attorney, so he is continuing to protect him!

Skitealwedrop's avatar

Blanche was the FELON’S CRIMINAL lawyer. How many of us can say we’ve had to hire a CRIMINAL lawyer?

Paula S Marple's avatar

Blanche is being paid by us, the taxpayers, to be the Deputy AG of the U.S. Though we are paying him for the title, he is not doing the job as Deputy AG.

The role of Deputy AG is to be the lawyer for “WE, the People.” It is not to be the personal lawyer to the FOTUS, but that is exactly what he is. Blanche is just 1 more who needs to go.

We CAN rectify this corruption & much more of it.

Right now, we can:

• Deluge both Dem & MAGA-R’s by calling them (right from the comfort of our homes) in numbers too large to ignore. 5calls.org is a website (+ is a free app.) Just request to be connected to the office of a senator or house rep. A staffer typically answers, & you leave a message. Your message is recorded, counted (b/c numbers matter), & then delivered to the intended source. There is also a WH switchboard to be connected. There are also the numbers for their home state offices.

• Every seat in Congress we add right now moves us closer to taking a majority! So.. use your server (Google, etc.) to search on upcoming elections in your own state + upcoming elections in the USA. VOTE in your state. Strongly urge others in your state to vote Dem, too. In other state races, urge others you know in those states to vote Dem.

This is how these recent wins for Dems in TX, LA, & others have happened!

I guess the pedo has to keep his criminal lawyer close by and on salary in case.

Hey Carol, How about willingly On the Russian payroll. The more investigators link things up in the Epstein files the more Putin pops up.

Maxwell is being protected because she knows EVERYTHING about the ongoing relationship between Trump and Epstein. Which is also why she’s being pampered, and handled with kid gloves. She’s got a grip on trump’s shorthairs and trump knows that. And I’m actually a bit surprised that Trump hasn’t pardoned her yet.

Janet Wilson's avatar

If he pardons her he kisses goodbye to any leverage he would have over her spilling the beans. As it stands he has both given her enough to keep her quiet (or back she goes to supermax) and yet not enough that she can act with impunity. Under this "administration" she has no move to make, hence taking the 5th.

arne link's avatar

I'm a bit surprised that she hasn't "committed suicide" yet.

io bonini's avatar

No shit AL, All I can figure is after she saw her Bud murdered, she squirreled away a lot of stuff with someone... who upon her death, regardless of the situation will send all of this information to every single news org and government on the planet.

Otherwise she would have probably fallen out a window or down some stairs. Hmmm Fallen down stairs, isn't that what happened to Ivana Trump? And how many pall bearers did it take to bury the lady on Trumps golf course under some bushes?

You know JS, What I really don't get...Blanche has children...Lutnick too, and I'm pretty sure a lot of people in these Epstein files.. same. What blows me away is how these people could bring their children along to meet this Pedo. Or in Blanches case protect the Pedo's. Are their Families clueless? Are they all in on the fun? What do their children think of all this?

Maybe it doesn't matter to them because they think that they are untouchable. The behavior of this Regime (besides their authoritarian goal) is so bizarre, there is no way to figure it out, unless we get all the facts and even then...I think we will remain unable to fathom their cruelty, and their attraction to children, abusing them, separating them from their families, disappearing them. WTF?

Maybe they are the Lizard people, they were warning us all about, who drink children's blood to be immortal. their behavior is beyond belief and anything but normal.

Martha Kenne's avatar

Yep Judy, it REEKS.

Spyder's avatar

Why do this behind closed doors? We ALL want to hear her squeal publicly. 😉

Emily's avatar

I would assume because she could disclose victim information and they need to ensure protection for those individuals. Not that they’ve done of a good job protecting them thus far.

Actually, Ghislaine Maxwell is being protected because she was front and center for years, actively engaged in the Epstein sex-trafficking activities. So she literally knows EVERYTHING about the long-term relationship between Trump and Epstein. Which is also why she’s being pampered and handled with kid gloves. She’s got a grip on trump’s tiny shorthairs and trump knows it. I’m actually a bit surprised that Trump hasn’t pardoned her already.

Janet Wilson's avatar

Trump has her in a corner. She can't be pardoned or she sings like a canary once freed. She won't say a thing more out of fear of being sent back to supermax. Game. Set. Match.

Merry's avatar

I agree. But I also believe she’s in a “privileged” day camp for a reason ie trumps trying to keep her silent. So, the two of them are playing a weird game of checkers. Cat n mouse game .

My guess is that they made a back room deal which could include a pardon AFTER the midterms. He’s certainly hinted that he could pardon her, probably to gage the public response.

One thing for sure - Trump is definitely being squeezed between a rock and a hard place right now…

“Trump says he will talk to DOJ about Maxwell pardon, says Diddy asked for one”

“WASHINGTON, Oct 6 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday left the door open to a pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted of helping the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein sexually abuse teenage girls.“

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-says-he-will-talk-doj-about-maxwell-pardon-says-diddy-asked-one-2025-10-06/

arne link's avatar

Why would she talk after a pardon? The pardon is what she wants. I think Trump will pardon her eventually. I was going to say that he will pardon her as he leaves office, but he might die first. That is a dilemma.

Janet Wilson's avatar

The USA is not the only country she is sought by for her crimes. She could face extradition to a few places, in which making a plea deal would depend on her coughing up information.

She also has to factor in whether in the sweep of reforms that must be made by an adult administration post MAGA if the presidential pardons made by Trump to appalling criminals are reversed. The entire pardon structure is going to have to change.

So Maxwell has to ask herself where the clear and present danger lies. Right now that is in Trump and his cabal of fanatics.

Leslie Jaszczak's avatar

I'd like to know whose decision it was - theirs or hers. I doubt they could care less about the survivors. They probably want, as always, to control the flow of information.

Clint's avatar

You know why, republicans always want closed door testimony so they can lie about it and control the narrative. By time transcripts are released people don’t care. Same old playbook over and over.

It’s all theatrics with the right….100%.

Erin's avatar

There’s an article out by David Pakman that lays this out really clearly…the huge chasm between what they *say* and what they actually *do*…the reasons they claim to do things are made to sound rational, defensible even… if they were actually based on sincerely held beliefs… but then the actions they take based on those “reasons” are as blatantly irrational (and generally illegal, excessive, and over-the-top) as they can be.

If they actually held the beliefs their rhetoric implied, then their actions would be vastly different than what they’ve been. They aren’t acting on any sincerely held belief or principle, they just want plausible deniability for their true motives, which are not at all ideologically based, but rather about the optics, spectacles, headlines and political payoff.

It’s a good read and I think it nails exactly what it is they’re doing https://substack.davidpakman.com/p/what-trump-says-vs-what-trump-does?r=1ergy2&utm_medium=ios&shareImageVariant=overlay&triedRedirect=true

Leslie Jaszczak's avatar

Yet Bill and Hillary, who *insist* on testifying in public, are accused of having something to hide!

Merry's avatar

They also know trump’s involvement which is exactly why Trump is publicly defending the Clintons right now…

““It bothers me that somebody’s going after Bill Clinton,” Trump told anchor Tom Llamas on “NBC Nightly News.” “See, I like Bill Clinton. I still like Bill Clinton.”

“President Trump said in an interview Wednesday that he is bothered by the investigation into former President Clinton as part of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee’s probe into files related to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.”

“Trump told The Hill during a press gathering following a bill signing in the Oval Office on Tuesday that he thought the situation was “a shame.”

“I always liked him. Her? Yeah. She’s a very capable woman who’s better at debating than some of the other people, I’ll tell you that. She was smarter, smart woman,” he said.”

Documentation is always important for so many reasons. (Ex. that Maxwell has documentation is HER leverage.) Ro Khanna will also have documentation to be used for future leverage.

IF TRUMP WASNT A CHILD SEX TRAFFICKER MAXWELL Wouldn’t BE INVOKING THE FIFTH. THATS ALL.

oldwoman's avatar

Instead of questioning the liar, why don't they just make the court records of Maxwell case public? With victims and jurors names redacted. Make perpetrators names public.

Thomas D’Andrea's avatar

And if she plans on not answering question, what is the purpose of all this? just a field trip from a convicted child rapist?

Economic Warfare

From No mercy/No malice

By Professor Scott Galloway

“We frame economic power as a contest between capital and labor, but the real star of the American economy is consumer spending, which accounts for 68% of GDP. The Great Recession saw a 3.4% drop in consumer spending — at the time, the most severe year-over-year decline since World War II. The U.S. economy registered a 9.8% drop in consumer spending during the second quarter of 2020, when Covid shut down the world as we knew it. In both instances the U.S. government responded aggressively, spending hundreds of billions, primarily on bailouts, to pull us out of the Great Recession, and trillions, primarily in direct aid, to get us through the pandemic. The lesson? When consumers stop spending, American leaders start listening. As Geo Hussar explained to his YouTube followers at the end of September, “this is not seizing the means of production, but seizing the means of consumption,” adding that if every American dropped their consumption, on average, by 2%, “that would be the most loud and potent form of protest.”

From Professor Erica Chenoweth:

“The third thing that successful movements do is they innovate new tactics. This is very important because movements that tend to over-rely on a single technique like protests, like demonstrating every Friday, something that becomes very routinized, end up succumbing much more quickly first of all to protester fatigue, but the second thing is they often subject their participants to a higher risk of repression or communal violence from opponents.

So movements that are capable of having the capacity to shift to methods of dispersion, like stay-at-homes or strikes or forms of economic noncooperation, tend to be much more effective because they have the capability of maneuver when the state begins to ramp up violence against them.”

https://www.carnegiecouncil.org/media/podcast/20201116-protests-perspective-civil-disobedience-activism-erica-chenoweth-deva-woodly

From Professor Paul Krugman

“So how can we make a Trump implosion more likely? The public can help by doing what Target’s customers and Disney’s audience did — make it clear that they will stop paying money to institutions that lend aid and comfort to the authoritarian project.”

From The Peaceful Solution-Part 1

How much do you want to stop His Royal Heinous and the fascist takeover of the country?

Enough that you’re willing to make a small sacrifice? Like altering your spending habits for a month or two or three? That could be all it would take to get the attention of the oligarchs (formerly known as The Robber Barons in the first Gilded Age, also The Fat Cats, The Greedy Bastards).

A brief demonstration of We, the People’s, power of the purse could persuade them to quit supporting HRH and the politicians who enable him.

We quit spending, except on essentials, businesses lose money, stock market goes down, Greedy Bastards pay attention to our demands.

Molly Smythe's avatar

Yes, all of us go on spending strike- only buy necessities. When the controlling rich guys lose money they will tell their bought politicians and scotus to change direction. We can keep our money without fear of being fired in a general strike, and can keep our money for a longer time than a general strike, and do it under the radar.

arne link's avatar

So sorry. It is a great idea, but when the wealthy have "earned" several million dollars they make all their money from investment, etc.

spenlo's avatar

I don't understand why anyone would allow her to the testify. She is a convicted sex offender. She should remain in prison. This is all a ploy to get out of prison by kissing the president's backside. She is guaranteed to say he is totally innocent.

Maxwell is looking to enhance her chances at a parole at the orange stain's last day in office. She should rot in prison the rest of her life.
