There’s an article out by David Pakman that lays this out really clearly…the huge chasm between what they *say* and what they actually *do*…the reasons they claim to do things are made to sound rational, defensible even… if they were actually based on sincerely held beliefs… but then the actions they take based on those “reasons” are as blatantly irrational (and generally illegal, excessive, and over-the-top) as they can be.
If they actually held the beliefs their rhetoric implied, then their actions would be vastly different than what they’ve been.
