Yes, "a massive fuck up" by massive fuck ups who are the Trump regime. All of them. Every single one of them - fuck ups. Goldberg is a hero. So are you, Senator.

Well.... maybe not the Senator quite so much... not after his despicable activities with NINE OTHER SENATORS in the Senate re that HORRIFIC CR bill they just voted to allow to go to a vote. The ONLY blockade the Democrats HAD to stop this from passing! Small print IN that bill, was that Trump and Musk could override Congress when it came to disbursement of funds! DISGRACEFUL!!! Much more dangerous than a TEMPORARY shutdown BY FAR!!! Those TEN Democrats basically handed the purse to Trump & Co!!! Grrrr PATHETIC!!!

Kamm's avatar

Schiff did NOT VOTE FOR THE CR... That was Schumer. Get your facts straight. You know for a fact the shutdown would have been temporary? Bullshit, while I hate the CR, a shutdown would have let Musk & tRump run free and do whatever the hell they wanted with our money.

Yvonne Hughes's avatar

So sorry...my bad (I always get those two mixed up.... My sincerest apologies to Adam Schiff for my mistake) The Government Shutdown would have been TEMPORARY, because the CR basically gives Musk and Trump the power to do THAT PERMANENTLY! It's basically written into the CR! Do you REALLY think that anything will change in 6 months when that CR dates out? With a Government Shutdown, those spineless MAGA GOP would then be FORCED to negotiate WITH the Democrats on ANY CR or Budget in the future. It's the only leverage they have in Congress... that in order for any vote to be had in the Senate, there needs to be 60 saying YES for a vote to even happen... Republicans ONLY HAVE 53 in the Senate. So... once 6 Democrats say yes to a vote.... it's majority rules. So YES the CR is a damned sight worse for the American people than a Government Shutdown!

6 months is a long time in Elump world. I am also angry over the Dems that voted for the CR, it was like a slap in the face or a kick to the gut. One of them was mine and he has lost my vote for good. I hope someone steps up to primary him.

Don't worry. I had to go look it up because I was like "oh shit! Not him too!" It's hard to keep them all straight sometimes as we're all trying to follow so much crap going on.

How Kamm... I totally understand... Trump is following Steve Bannon's advice from his first disastrous term in the White House... and that's to flood the zone with shit, so there's so much bad stuff happening all at once, so sadly, some of it sticks. Yes... I hope every single one of those ten Democrats get primaries in 2026... I just hope the Democrats are SMART enough to MAKE sure there is another Democrat running against them in those seats to run against them, and it doesn't make ANYONE vote for the Republican instead, just to teach them a lesson.... THAT would NOT help this situation in the slightest. I believe those TEN Democrats should RESIGN... and Chuck Schumer needs to step down as Democrat Leader in the Senate... he's still acting like he's working with the old style of Republicans.... when atm in Congress, those Republicans do not exist sny more. It's a whole new EVIL beast they're fighting against. (Anyhow, sending EXTRA love and strength to you all from Australia! We're STILL with you in Spirit! Please stay strong, keep up the good fight and stay safe if you can!)

So many democrats just don't seem to get the threat Trump poses. I don't think he'll leave office. It's disappointing that we the people expect more from our elected than we're getting. Especially Schumer.

Donald Trump is an EVIL DERANGED LUNATIC, and he is extremely dangerous, although I know that most Americans know that already, and there are protests going on all over your Country. It is heartbreaking to watch the destruction and chaos he is perpetuating each and every day. It's just sad that there are SO many Americans who STILL believe every single lie that comes out of his mouth.... I'll NEVER understand it...

I think this is unconscionable and I’m a Canadian.

If you didn’t think it’s huge: consider how many politicians like Schiff, or Pete Buttigeig, who are normally measured in their speech, have called it a “fuck up”, “massive fuck up”, and I think someone also used “clusterfuck”.

Because sometimes, there are no other words.

One participant was joining from overseas, from MOSCOW.

FYI for anyone out there who hears “Signal is encrypted”- technically yes. It’s also been successfully decrypted by the Russians, which has been interfering in anti government communications and Ukrainian communications in the Russia Ukraine invasion.

Most everybody knows if you go to Russia, they're watching you and have advanced cyber capabilities. I wonder why Moscow didn't examine their intelligence on Witkoff's phone while he was there and getting the message. Surely they have that capability. I think they screwed up and didn't catch it or review it in time or they would have warned the Houthis.

They probably felt that the trade off- having to admit they have his cell phone cloned as they probably do, wouldn’t be worth the upside of saving a couple of Houthi assets. Or maybe they did covertly inform them, and they were able to move their important Houthi leadership out of harms way. No one has said the mission successfully “eliminated” any leaders of the Houthis, even though the report on planning sounded like they were targeting individuals seen as important.

The American people are far less safe than we were during the Biden administration. They respected security measures and we never heard about any strike plans against our enemies. I couldn’t believe that these people actually used a commercial app for classified material. My ex husband had top secret security clearance during our marriage, but he never ever said one word to me about anything that was classified. He wasn’t the straightest stick in the bunch, but that meant something to him.
