I agree! I've been watching the documentary on Jefferson. History is repeating itself since Adams the Federalist lost to an independent Jefferson and gave us the parties we have today. We must make massive change @ SCOTUS to protect the democracy in years to come.
We as a nation has always depended on SCOTUS and they’ve let us down. They are no longer the Supreme Court for the people they are the Supreme Court for the most wealthy. Because they perceive that that is the power. And they can’t be fired. So they’re going to do whatever they feel like doing. And enriching themselves is what they feel like doing.
We the people don’t have to settle for them “letting us down”. They can also be impeached for their open corruption and we can vote for candidates who are willing to expand the court.
They CAN be fired, because they "shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour" and if you READ the constitution, not just cherry pick a few words here and there, it is OBVIOUS they never intended the impeachment process to be used to remove Judges and Justices.
Taking Bribes and being shown to have lied during their Senate Confirmation hearings (under oath) are both examples of not being on "good Behaviour".
Wow, someone needs to bring this up so we can get rid of a few of them. Because they are being very bad to the people of the USA and very good to the one percent wealthiest people.
They are also the Supreme Court for the people who purchase them and that needs to end. There should be strictly enforced ethics laws covering accepting donations and speaking to partisan groups.
The unitary executive theory violates the separation of powers in the Constitution. The problem happens when the other two branches roll over and play dead for the executive branch, and one party no longer believes in government of, for and by the people.
The unitary executive theory is counter to any sane reading of the Constitution. They read the introductory sentence of Article 2 (the section of the constitution describing the executive branch of the government) which simply says "The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America." and then completely ignored the inherent limitations when the 'founding fathers' wrote Section 2 of article 2 where the powers of the president are listed, or the oath of office the president is required to swear to.
Such as: "he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices" which does not even imply the idea of the president micromanaging the departments. In section 3: "he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed" including laws passed by prior congresses and signed by prior presidents.
Note in Article 1 (section detailing the two branches of Congress) in Section 9: "No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law", wondering where the 40 billion dollars to Argentina came from...
There are MANY other violations of his oath, if you just read the Constitution.
I know Trump NEVER read any of the Constitution, but those around him who did certainly enabled him. His ignorance is no defense, Trump is the one who took the oath to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States".
I agree. SCOTUS is corrupt. Democrats should expand the Supreme Court and limit the term of the Justices. Furthermore, several of the justices should be impeached for not protecting the Constitution.

So now its time unfortunately to do what had to be done to regain stability and law and of course the foundation of our democracy but because our supreme court high judges sold us out there is no sense of true law and order .trump knows and his fascist regime know that this is done outta extreme fear of exposure and landing in jail so they're backed by the treasonous supreme court 4 stooges that allow him to use our national guard etc to intimidate all not just this immagrant shit and so we pray for a coup within our military to realize that he completely reckless and dangerous not just us but our allies.
