SPEAKER 3
I'm joined by Jake Sullivan, former National Security Advisor to former President Biden. I'm sure you have a lot to say, Jake, about the past 100 days in the Trump administration. The first question I want to just ask you is, how would you rate the first 100 days of the Trump administration from a national security perspective, given,
0:20
of course, your background?

SPEAKER 4
Well, normally when you look at a first hundred days, you look at policy decisions and you stack them up, some good, some bad. It's a mixed bag. This is an unadulterated disaster. And it's because it's not just about the policy. It's that President Trump and his team have gone at the core American advantages in

Former National Security Advisor Breaks Silence on Trump Pentagon Scandal

Jake Sullivan joins MeidasTouch to break down the catastrophic national security failures of the Trump regime.

By Ben Meiselas

I sat down with Jake Sullivan, former National Security Advisor to President Biden, and he didn’t mince words. When I asked him to grade Trump’s first 100 days on national security, his answer was immediate and scathing: “an unadulterated disaster.” And that was just the beginning.

Jake laid out how Trump, in less than 100 days, has torched nearly every American advantage on the global stage. He’s weakened our alliances, shattered global trust in the U.S. economy, decimated our soft power, and made international talent think twice before ever coming here to study or work. Not policy disagreements. Not bad decisions. This is willful sabotage by a man who clearly doesn’t understand, or care about, what makes America strong.

We dove into the breaking news about Pete Hegseth, Trump’s completely unqualified Defense Secretary, who reportedly leaked military plans over Signal to his wife, brother, and personal lawyer. Jake wasn’t surprised. He warned from the start that Hegseth never should’ve been nominated. And now, just 100 days in, even Hegseth’s own former aides are calling it a “meltdown.” When your friends are writing op-eds begging the president to fire you, maybe national security isn’t your strong suit.

Jake also gave a sobering analysis of what happens when Trump undermines our allies and flirts with absurd ideas like annexing Canada. His warning? Trump is basically doing China’s job for them—isolating the U.S. and giving Beijing every opportunity to step into the leadership vacuum.

And then we got to Ukraine. I played Jake a clip of Trump’s delusional fantasy about “ending the war in 24 hours,” and Jake’s reaction said it all: Trump is putting pressure on Zelenskyy instead of Putin, as if Ukraine started the war. It’s not just offensive—it’s dangerous. Jake made clear that peace only comes by holding Russia accountable, not groveling to it.

We also talked about Trump’s chaotic “90 days, 90 deals” trade stunts. Even worse, he's handing out massive concessions to adversaries before negotiations even start.

Finally, Jake raised a chilling red flag: artificial intelligence. He pointed to J.D. Vance’s reckless “let it rip” approach to AI development with no guardrails, and warned that the Trump administration is actively ignoring, if not encouraging, the dangers of misinformation, job displacement, and national security risks.

This wasn’t just an interview. It was a masterclass in everything Trump is doing to weaken America, on purpose, and why we must all stay vigilant.

I remember the old days when presidents fucked with our national security, colluded with our enemies and intentionally destroyed the economy…they would be hung in the gallows.

Or even something as simple as the president getting a BJ from an intern in a blue dress. Seemed like such a simple world back then. Lol

Oh, how we long for the days where the biggest scandal was a man getting a blowjob. At least the world was safer, finances stable, our lives calmer and prosperous. Oh yeah, and we also didn’t have wake up every day wondering how much damage a criminal was doing to the world.

Expand full comment
Kristi's avatar

Agreed! It’s now a daily problem…wondering what kind of damage we’re all going to wake up to…Yesterday, instead of a beautiful Easter Blessing, the message we all received as a nation sounded like it was that of a spoiled little kid like from the elementary school that we all wanted to just kick in the shin on the playground - you know the one…the loud mouthed, smarty pants that’s always pointing fingers at everyone but himself. He couldn’t let God and Jesus have the stage for the day…not a single day. But hey…let’s make ‘merica great again!

And that’s why he’s ultimately going to fire Pete Hegseth. Not because he’s a national security disaster, but he’s taking the attention away from Trump.

Yes…and Trump doesn’t want negative chatter. He doesn’t like it as it detracts from his messages…he can’t keep winning if his people keep fucking it all up. Hegseth turned out to be completely an unreliable #fucktard in all sense of the word in this role - but then KKKKaroline said today that the president knows about Signal-Gate 2.0 and fully supports him. But I’m certain we’ll see Hegseth removed - I mean, he isn’t even adult enough to not need to drag along his kid brother to make sure he doesn’t go off the deep end….so there’s that. Lol

What is wrong with these women? Is it racism? Misogyny? The need for idolizing “dear leader?”

It still seems hard to believe Trump won. It’s so hard to wrap my head around people being that stupid. That said, it’s also hard to believe he was actually shot at. When Trump heard a loud bang at one of his rallies prior to his “assassination attempt“, he ducked and ran out like a scared rabbit. The Secret Service were all over him. But at the “real” assassination attempt, there’s not a scratch on his ear (which isn’t a thing with that weapon), the Secret Service allowed him to get up for a photo op, which is an act that would put anyone in prison, and we’re also supposed to believe a draft dodging coward who ran away from a loud boom, was allowed to get up by Secret Service to take a photo op? Not believable!

And the Education Dept will be restored, and new curriculum will be written to accurately describe this terrible history. Germany had to do this in order to prevent it happening again, to attone for their murderous actions, and to earn global respect. It has taken them a good 3-4 generations to achieve such a task. Ironically, Germany will no doubt lead the way for America out of this man-made hell hole. And yet, after all of Germany's hard work, many still feel deep shame to raise their country's flag to this day. America may too feel this deep shame too for generations to come. 🇨🇦 ❤️

Isolationism, playing strongman in this complicated world is a huge mistake.

How about Robert Reich or Paul Krugman to comment on the tariff sh!t show that is causing all of us to lose retirement funds we saved so hard for and putting the full faith and credit of the U.S. in jeopardy. I'm tired of paying this price...unnecessarily...at the hands of the braindead Felon in Chief and Howard Nutlick.

Me too. Where are they? They swore to defend US Constitution.

I too thank Jake for it and believe he surely is knowledgeable.

Trumpism is aggressive ignorance, immorality, lawlessness and pathological lies.

However, we must clearly point out and highlight the fact that Jake Sullivan and former CIA director Bill Burns were the causes why:

- Ukraine was not given even 1/3 of what the USA and other Western countries promised to give them on time in 2022;

- Ukraine was given less than 1/20 of what the USA and the West could have given them easily to fend off the Z-orc army.

Why? Because Biden was too slow: to help Ukraine and to bring justice upon Trump for J6. You see, both failures were the total faults of the US intel, national security and law enforcement in 2021-2022.

To explain: Biden's plan to deal with Putin's war in Europe was to spare Russia from losing their war in Europe, while keeping Ukraine afloat and sovereign. Such a middle position is never positive, it always goes pro-aggressor.

Now we have Trump joining Putin in his war in Europe.

Two questions:

First, should we bring back the pillories for the people in government who have failed miserably in representing ALL of their constituents, not just the few loud mouths?

Second, to be hanged in the gallows might not be a good choice now unless we do go back to the fire days and stone tools, right?

I understand the frustration to watch the government change so much, but seriously, we were given the 2025 warning last year, informed about it by the Biden-Harris people, and the majority of voters made their decision. Mind you, it was NOT the majority of citizens who might have voted as those of us who voted did since it's our right, our duty, and our choice whether we love the choice or not. We do need to move on and try to express our disagreement through the many gatherings in the fifty states and territories and in the world. We do need to call the people in Congress and also in the businesses and law offices to express our gratitude for their fighting the demands of Don's regime. Sitting back is not an alternative if any of us want to see change. Sitting back shows a lack of wanting to stay in America but in a democracy. Either find an island that is similar to Don's regime and desire to empty your bank account or another country because America will return to a democracy and you may not feel completely comfy.

I have not seen any forum where Americans negotiate changes to the US Constitution. People still pretend that America we knew stands, while she has gone forever. People still believe that all we need to do is to go back to 2016 or 2024 and make the right choices, which is insane:

2016 and 2024 Americas brought the Trumpism in!

That's why people need to now re-imagine and design a new America, more open, more global, and starting with a new Constitution is the way. Or at least a set of amendments.

I have talked to several Americans, and they can't understand what I am proposing. They say, that it is US Senate / Congress who can only do such things. They don't understand the notion "We the People". The new Constitution can me admitted and established by a referendum or a series of referenda, and the US Congress or Supreme Court can schedule such referenda --- this is why it is important to negotiate all the changes right now in an open forum. Where is such a forum or several forums? I could not find it.

Well, normally when you look at a first hundred days, you look at policy decisions and you stack them up, some good, some bad. It's a mixed bag. This is an unadulterated disaster. And it's because it's not just about the policy. It's that President Trump and his team have gone at the core American advantages in
