Sadly, no amount of warnings from folks who are experts will make even one GOP member of Congress not support the actions of trump. After all, what do experts know???

They have demonstrated there is no line this administration can cross that means anything to them. That says more about them than I ever wanted to know.

Then maybe the most unthinkable, most unimaginable needs to happen to jar them back to reality!

Sorry, but they are already streets ahead of us in doing "the most unthinkable, most unimaginable. . ."

How may times have you heard a report in the last ten years on trump or his admin and gone "Wha. . .?"?

Show them a line - and they'll cross it.

I agree with Lady Emsworth. They’ve already done it. They’re creatively thinking of new unthinkables every day, and they excel at this. And still, GOP lawmakers do NOTHING to stop it. I’ve not seen anything in Congress so shameful in my lifetime.

Regarding Grassley and Trump...

Grassley was on TV8 tonight's news to deal with the Argentine grain deal with China. Iowa farmers are pissed at Trump for helping their Argentina competition in soybean sales to China. Reminder to all: Grassley conspired with McConnell to cheat Obama of Supreme Court nominees.

To remind some that may not remember - back when Grassley was first elected to office, he was very much for term limits. Vehemently so, from what I've read. He has been in office for 50 years (first the House and then the Senate).

You must have missed t's speech at the UN last month. He literally abdicated our leadership of the world. Since then China has been the wealthiest and most powerful nation in the world. His diplomacy is non-existent and his advisors are incapable of giving actual advice.

People with dementia can't differentiate between what actually happened and what they imagine has happened. That part of their brain is atrophied.

Expand full comment
uRNangel423's avatar

You’re absolutely correct, people with dementia are incapable of distinguishing timelines and get facts confused with fiction in their thinking. As Janeo stated that part of their brain has atrophied or simply stated shriveled and broken. Many with dementia can remember incidents when they were younger verbatim but ask about current events, they are unable to recall them. It’s sad to watch a person develop this disease and there is no cure, and now that DT & RFK, Jr has fired many researchers and ended programs studying neurological diseases with their budget cuts!

Ellie Alive In 25's avatar

That is certainly true, but the short-fingered vulgarian chose NOT to differentiate between fact and fantasy, years before any dementia began.

No cure. The brain is aged/damaged beyond repair. Think senility. Add a malignant personality disorder to that mix and...you're seeing it in real time.

their malignant personality disorder is still what predominates in them. so, it's much worse than "only" dementia as if that wouldn't be already intolerably bad.

Cheeto Takes Great Pleasure On Inflicting Pain On His Enemy: The American People

Cheeto has become the Law and he asserts that he can do whatever he wants to including sending troops for any reason to any American city Now he’s cutting infrastructure programs like the much needed Hudson river train tunnel(constructed in 1910) because Democrats support it

But it’s much more that partisan politics as Cheeto likes to label his actions It’s more about the destruction of the country and hurting Americans, financially and physically, because he basically likes to hurt people As a sociopathic malignant narcissist he literally gets tremendous pleasure on hurting people

So Cheeto and his Nazi regime with the help of his billionaires/oligarchs want to take over the government Billionaires are grifting off the government taxpayer money eg Musk, Theil, Karp, Antonio Gracias Protests are fine but the next step is to take on the greed and power mongering of the wealthy The answer is to knee cap these motherfuckers at the business level by exposing them for what they are after See https://acrecampaigns.org/ And onepa.org as a model

Putin absolutely dominates Trump. So much so that Trump thinks Putin is a friend. The USA is no longer the leader of the "Free World". Why on earth do so many leaders of Industry and business and the military support Trump

Being a US Army Veteran, WE all signed the Oath of the US Constitution FIRST and for the rest of our lives, no expiration date,my signature was done 45 years ago, so I was NOT surprised that the US Admiral or any other US Military General or Admiral won't SUPPORT WAR CRIMES, we all have consciences, and we learned that we can't do Illegal orders.

If and when the Democrats get back into voting majority they had better move very rapidly to take Trump out of office. He can’t be slowed, he has no quality of thinking to do anything outside his narcissistic boisterous self. He can’t be cowed, again his narcissistic personality won’t let him address any human has power enough to harm him. EXCEPT TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT HIM IN AN OPEN PUBLIC OUTLET. He has grifted and manipulated wealthy contributors and usurped the Republican small dollar donors until now he can actually tell a truth about being biggly wealthy. I don’t know if it’s still in the “M” or “B” ILLIONS. But at least he now has enough flush cash to lay his court fines, fees and legal obligations. And if he doesn’t still have enough, he can his sons and sons in law up for funds. His family should be so grateful to him that they would come up with whatever he ask of them.
