I am not apologizing for what we’ve built together!!

It’s Ben Meiselas, co-founder of the MeidasTouch Network. We are not apologizing for shattering conventional wisdom and breaking norms in the news landscape.

Over the past 48 hours, the MeidasTouch Network YouTube channel has done 27 million views. No news network is even close to this — including all the cable and broadcast news behemoths.

All of corporate news is pissed at us since they aren’t even close to us in views and engagement.

The Trump regime and Fox want us destroyed since we are dominating the information war over the shutdown by using the truth.

The entire dynamic of the news ecosystem has been turned on its head.

Independent news is winning — and it’s being led by MeidasTouch.

We are leading with facts, empathy, and a call for democracy.

Yesterday, Trump, MAGA Mike Johnson, and Karoline Leavitt all looked so weak as they tried to spin the shutdown with utter nonsense. Fox couldn’t even help them out with talking points that are so farcical and ridiculous, its own viewers aren’t buying them anymore. Trump and MAGA Mike are lying and pretending they’re negotiating with Democrats when Trump and Mike ordered the GOP not to even talk with Democrats.

I’ve always talked about the importance of a healthy information environment. In many ways, I consider my work at MeidasTouch like that of a firefighter — putting out the disinformation fires that obscure truth and reality. Our goal is to connect people with accurate information and data to make informed decisions. Our project is one of deconstructing propaganda and replacing it with truth.

Here’s the deal: as you know, we are obviously one of Trump and MAGA’s biggest targets now. They know we are controlling the narrative. They know we’ve replaced the corporate news they’ve co-opted. We are showing the power right now of the new media landscape as our coverage of the government shutdown dominates all news. We’ve got to keep it up, grow, and expand.

I feel genuinely optimistic this morning that the American people are waking up and are not taking Trump’s lies and behavior anymore. We still have a lot of work to do, but we are making great progress together.
