She is a proven liar, and horrible “ human being “. As with the rest , she is unfit to serve America . ( AND unwilling ).

Just curious. Is being an attorney capable of writing prose others can appreciate a non sequitur by definition? Are that status and ability mutually exclusive concepts? If so, maybe news to John Gresham, Scott Turow and, let me think, oh, yes, Ben Meiselas.

Definitely not a non sequitur, but after working on and off the Hill, I can say the two do not always align. 😆

How can the Republicans be clapping? There is something very wrong with these people.

They are being forced to buy a fleet of their own planes because the people protest every airline departing immigrants from this country.

No one likes what they are doing !!

However, they continue to clap

They were clapping because the silence in the room scared them. They are trying to 'work the crowd' by encouraging a response favorable to them. This trick does often work, but not when the people there know exactly what is going on. Most people have a natural response of 'going along with the crowd' and the Republicans were trying to present themselves as 'the crowd'. Didn't work.

These supposed 'christians' have rejected their God-given soul, traded in their Christian Savior Jesus Christ, for the felon in the White House, and fully accepted their savior's desire for them to harm others. They best hope there is no afterlife, according to the religious beliefs they claim to own. lol

I can’t help but feel that lying to Congress is punishable. Also, her behavior as head of DHS should be scrutinized and see if it falls under treason. Then she, should be quickly prosecuted and pl@ced in the El Salvadoran prison. Yup…good place for her.

Same.. and no one has answered my question, it's a simple.one.

Do these people, Bondi, Patel, Noem act with this arrogance because they know that Trump is going to give them all blanket pardons for their actions preformed now and all of their future actions?

Can Trump do that?

Expand full comment
MM Harris's avatar

Not sure they're thinking that far ahead. I believe the "talking over people" thing started with kelly ann conway. She was relentless with that. And I noticed that trump supporters - regular citizens - were doing the same thing & still do. Since then it's grown. No way to have a normal discussion / exchange of thoughts, etc., but I think that's the point.

io bonini's avatar

I agree MM...That said, I think they are all emboldened by thinking they are all going to get away with all this. If not by blanket pardons then by Trump getting his cronies on the SCROTUS to announce "another rule for the ages" and give these thugs some sort of "lower" executive immunity. You know another rule that they just make up.

Once again, I am asking...can Trump give them all blanket immunity.

I wish we had a lawyer in our family...sad.

At least this hearing with Noem made her uncomfortable, that was some consultation. Not like the ones with Blondie & Patel..sigh

There are two major behavioral diagnoses for children: oppositional defiant disorder and conduct disorder. One of the criteria to distinguish between them is abuse of animals as well as fire setting. Conduct Disorder can turn into a personality disorder once they reach adulthood. Abuse and torture of animals as well as setting fires are two behaviors that indicate significant problems in the future.

michael you 'nail it' every time.

thank you.

the fact that dictator trump found so many equally loathesome people to surround himself with, was quite an eye opener...were they always so disgusting in their disrespectful approach to others and the american people? i have never heard so many repugnicans step forward for trump, and compete with each other to be as rude, demeaning, delusional and disgusting as trime. they took a step forward so they could step on people....

where has this hateful cruelty reared it's head in their past public offices? is this nature inate within them and they just needed permission from the despotic toxic pile of orange excrement to 'let it all hang out' for all of america, and the world to see...

it all makes me realize that i am part of a diminishing minority whobelieve in ethics, decency, and honor...and that makes me sad...but also very determined to stand up and stand out as a resolute opponent to dictator trump and his putin-style-rubber-stamp-repugnican-congress...

RESIST. VIVA LA RESISTENCIA. VIVE LA RESISTANCE. SAMUD.

I've lived in the same house for over 40 years, in a rural lake area. We've lived here longer than all but one; due to deaths of older home owners. We used to help each other, visit with each other, watch each other's dogs and homes when they are on vacation: you know, being neighborly.

Since the felon's first term, we've been threatened verbally and physically. The neighbors have shown their bias by using language they never used before, calling black and brown people demeaning names, and angry we refused to buy into their regime's lies. They have shown their true colors by turning into mean, ugly actors who would prefer to harm us. I learned law enforcement could not be relied upon when, during the mask mandate, my husband and I were surrounded by magas at a local store - angry that we were wearing masks. The clerk of the store told us later that she had called law enforcement when this had happened to other customers that were wearing masks, but law enforcement told her they were not supporting the mask mandate, and neither was our county judge.

Neighbors that we have helped in previous years turned cold and hateful. Not all of them but most of them. The only other neighbor that is not a MAGA is moving in January to a blue state. They had recently built a really nice house - but can no longer live in a red area in a red state after this past Jan. Truely, it was as if all these people changed overnight, and I no longer recognized them. :(

yes, that is the verrrrrry sad reality of america today….how could 1 person in early 21st century america do what hitler did in mid-20th century germany? turn basic good people into very stupid evil people?

i guess the lesson we have all learned is that there are basically 2 types of people everywhere on this planet….1. the selfish xenophobes who are truly racist fascist haters, to their very core, of anyone not like them and prefer regressive policies and repressive actions, and 2. the people who believe in progress and caring for others (no matter what their religion…or lack thereof…)… and hopeful policies and just/kind actions….in other words ….just people being human, (and derived from the word human is the word humane)…. we are all animals, but some have evolved better than others….. losing these unevolved people is not a loss…just a very rude awakening….and for your own sanity and life, lose them you must…ignore them or move away from them…..

it is sad that people have to leave their ancestral homes because of the neighbors, but that has always been an issue over time….crazy neighbors have always caused problems, but crazy whole communities is usually a cult/political/religious thing. sometimes, the only option is to move….unless you are ok being alone in a community of hideous aliens.

With all the horrors inflicted on this country, this one is the worst for me. Seeing people being seriously beaten, being sprayed in the face with what is probably military grade pepper spray. The cruelty is beyond cruel! Women pushed on the ground so hard, one shot 5 times and thank God, she survived. A priest shot with pepper balls at close range, a man tased in the face! Today the mass attack was in Minneapolis. Three of the goons got out of car, spraying one man, actually chased him and aggressively spraying him in the face. The crying of children is heartbreaking. I so want to be in these states to join the fight. I hope this is stopped SOON. People are being murdered! The puppy killer needs to resign.
