Hey Meidas Mighty, it’s MeidasTouch co-founder Ben Meiselas. I want to begin by thanking our subscribers to this Substack for helping us build the most viewed and downloaded news network in the United States. We have no outside investors, so your subscription makes a big difference.
Let’s get into it.
I made a video this morning on our YouTube channel about Donald Trump’s latest filing in his lawsuit against CBS and 60 Minutes. Trump is suing them because he claims 60 Minutes and Face the Nation edited portions of the interview with VP Harris that aired in October 2024. He is suing for $20 billion.
In his latest filing this week, Trump urges the judge not to dismiss his lawsuit because he says he suffered and continues to suffer “serious mental anguish” because of the Harris segment that aired.
Serious.
Mental.
Anguish.
He can’t be serious? But he is.
This latest court filing, to me, is emblematic of so many things.
Let me explain.
First, Trump is an abuser and predator. He and the other leaders in the Republican Party always “play the victim” and claim they are “suffering” when they are inflicting suffering on others. This is apparent in his legal filing.
Second, Trump is weak. On May 30, 2025, the President of the United States is occupying his time whining about his “emotional suffering” over a TV segment that aired in October 2024.
Unlike VP Harris, who actually did the interview, Trump was too scared to sit for an interview with 60 Minutes and he was too scared to debate VP Harris a second time.
We have an inherently weak person in a position that requires strength.
Third, Trump is a corrupt loser. Filing this lawsuit is how losers behave. He is trying to shake down Paramount to personally pay him tens of millions of dollars if they want him to allow the DOJ and FCC to approve their $8 billion merger with a company called Skydance.
Trump is brazenly interfering with government approvals to funnel money to himself personally from Paramount.
Fourth, I will not let Paramount off the hook here either.
According to multiple reports, Paramount has offered to settle with the felon for $15 million, but that is not enough for Trump. He is demanding more money and a public apology.
CBS has already lost their President and their top producer at 60 Minutes, who were allegedly appalled that Paramount would even consider such a thing—and they resigned.
Fifth, this whole situation is pathetic. From Trump’s weakness to Paramount potentially offering a settlement.
It’s gross.
The rest of the world is either horrified or laughing at America for things like this. Regardless, the rest of the world recognizes America is very weak and small right now.
This Trump–Paramount ordeal is a microcosm of how America has surrendered its standing in the world.
Under former President Biden, America was bringing more countries to join NATO. Under Trump, he’s posting weird memes and suing 60 Minutes for severe emotional distress.
World leaders recognize that Trump is soft and stupid.
It’s really hurtful as an American to reflect on how America, as a once great power, is reduced to immense weakness right now—being led by men who pretend to be strong.
As we head into June, it just feels like the once-great United States is so very small and diminished.
I have hope we rebuild. I am energized by the strength of the resistance and opposition. I am invigorated by a new media forming to rebuild the Fourth Estate from the ashes of corporate news that failed. I see Jake Tapper’s book is an utter failure and I see MeidasTouch growing stronger each day. I see a future of great young leaders, and I see Americans reflecting on how bad this Trump presidency has been.

OMFG! Trump continues to “suffer emotional distress”??? What about the rest of us who are living the nightmare of his presidency?
I seriously wish the courts would hit him with serious sanctions for making absolutely frivolous claims. Mental distress? The man has been in mental decline for a long time and anyone with ears knows it. This filing is grounds for the 25th Amendment if Trump had a legitimate cabinet and not a bunch of sycophants from Fox News who will laugh at his is every insult.
