Important Friday Post by MeidasTouch Founder
Hey everyone, it’s Friday. It’s the end of the work week, which usually means one thing lately… Donald Trump market manipulation day. So pay close attention today, because we’ve now seen this same cycle play out over and over again. Escalate tensions, create chaos, move markets, walk things back, repeat. That’s been the pattern since the start of this war. It feels like Groundhog Day, only there’s nothing funny about any of this
And before we get into all of it, if you appreciate these daily updates and the independent reporting we do here at MeidasTouch, hit subscribe now to this Substack. The corporate media keeps normalizing behavior that should never be normalized. We don’t do that here. We tell you exactly what’s happening, directly and without the spin. So thank you to all of you who support this platform and help us continue growing.
Yesterday, we saw another major escalation in the Strait of Hormuz. According to reports, the United States attempted to move two naval destroyers into the Strait, which was met by Iranian fast boats. A clash reportedly ensued. The United States claims it struck the port of Qeshm and surrounding areas, and said the mission was successful, whatever that actually means. Iran, meanwhile, claims it repelled the destroyers and forced them to retreat shortly after entering the area.
Then, after the strikes, Donald Trump announced that the ceasefire should remain in place. The problem is, it’s not entirely clear Iran agrees with Donald Trump’s assessment of reality. Overnight, the UAE claimed its air defense systems were activated amid reported Iranian strikes or attempted strikes in the region.
At this point, this entire two-week cycle just continues endlessly. Escalation. Chaos. Market swings. Trump declarations. Then more escalation again. By now, you’ve likely caught on to Trump’s delay strategy, what I call his “two-week death loop.” When’s the healthcare plan coming? Two weeks. When does infrastructure week begin? Two weeks. When is the war going to end? Just give him two more weeks. How the heck is anyone still falling for this?!
And then there was the incredibly bizarre reflecting pool press conference yesterday.
Donald Trump literally shut down the National Mall and drove his motorcade onto the drained reflecting pool in Washington, D.C., where he held a rambling press conference that was deeply strange, even by Trump standards. At one point, a female reporter asked him why he keeps focusing on ballrooms, arches, and reflecting pools while Americans are struggling economically and facing major crises. Trump appeared to call her the B-word after yelling that her question was “stupid” and that she was a “disgrace.”
He then started bragging about how much dirt had been removed from the reflecting pool. And then, in an especially odd moment, he began asking construction workers nearby whether they wanted Iran to have nuclear weapons. You’ll notice that this has become one of his signature moves as well. No matter who is around him, be it a world leader, construction workers, or young children, Trump tries to get them to co-sign his deranged worldview on camera. If you watched my video on the reflecting pool event, I’m sure you noticed it was less a press conference and more of a public unraveling.
In my view, it was yet another example of Trump’s worsening physical and cognitive decline, which is becoming harder and harder to ignore no matter how much corporate media tries to sanitize it.
Meanwhile, on the MeidasTouch Network, we covered the latest counterterrorism report issued by the Trump regime. The report apparently places left-wing groups and organizations that help transgender people into the same framework as jihadist organizations and terrorist threats.
The document reeks of authoritarianism and fascism. What was especially disturbing was watching portions of the corporate press report on it as though this were some routine bureaucratic development instead of something deeply dangerous and historically alarming.
Oh, and during the reflecting pool press conference, Trump also falsely claimed that gas prices are dramatically falling. They’re not. Again, it was just another example of him inventing a reality that doesn’t actually exist. When he says this like that, in my view, he is openly mocking the American people. But eventually, like during COVID in Trump’s first term, the reality deficit catches up to him. In other words, Trump can only lie and gaslight so long until people are personally impacted by the things he is lying about. In this case, people don’t need to be shown receipts to learn that Trump is lying. They get actual receipts every time they fill up at the gas station.
We’re going to continue covering all of this throughout the day on the MeidasTouch Network.
So if you haven’t yet subscribed here on Substack, now is a great time to do it. We’re building something together. We’re growing because of you, and we are incredibly grateful for this community.
Thanks everybody. Let’s keep growing.

here's something the public that is extremely important. "trump accounts" for children and the Privatizing of Social Security. Ted Cruz is right now trying to introduce legislation that he has authored to do just that. THIS NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE
How could anyone believe someone who told us that he would build a wall all the way across the Southern border and Mexico would pay for it?
