I see so many comments where folks are engaging in much needed venting about how bad trump and the GOP Congress are (I live in a 99% red area and I don't dare say anything in public that is in any way negative about trump or his supporters so I sure understand the venting) but we also have to continue to remind folks of actions we need to take...as you say, show up stand up speak up....these actions really help even if it doesn't seem like they do...they are all part of the overall resistance movement and we are seeing victories election results from school boards to the loss but win in TN-07 what we are doing is working. And I think by supporting groups like ACLU and CREW and others that are involved in bringing lawsuits we are also helping.

I must briefly say that an attack on Venezuela may not be in the best interest of the United States, as American Special Forces would become deeply engaged there. D. Lerit, it would have been a major miracle for the Democrat to win in Tennessee. With that said, this a a district that Trump carried by 22 percentage points in 2024. Aftyn will likely lose by no more than 10 points, maybe less. That’s a 12 point drop from 2024. Not enough to win this race, but in many districts more than enough to win. And this is just the beginning of the MAGA erosion. It will get much worse over the next year as the midterms approach. Why? I see so many comments where folks are engaging in much needed venting about how bad trump and the GOP Congress are (I live in a 99% red area and I don't dare say anything in public that is in any way negative about trump or his supporters so I sure understand the venting) but we also have to continue to remind folks of actions we need to take...as you say, show up stand up speak up....these actions really help even if it doesn't seem like they do...they are all part of the overall resistance movement and we are seeing victories election results from school boards to the loss but win in TN-07 what we are doing is working. And I think by supporting groups like ACLU and CREW and others that are involved in bringing lawsuits we are also helping.

I must briefly say that an attack on Venezuela may not be in the best interest of the United States, as American Special Forces would become deeply engaged there. On the other hand, in the negotiations with Putin regarding Ukraine, the United States should not offer him any additional concessions, because Putin has been completely defeated in the Ukraine war, and his soldiers have entirely lost their fighting morale. Not even the smallest concession should be given to Putin.

D. Lerit, it would have been a major miracle for the Democrat to win in Tennessee. With that said, this a a district that Trump carried by 22 percentage points in 2024. Aftyn will likely lose by no more than 10 points, maybe less. That’s a 12 point drop from 2024. Not enough to win this race, but in many districts more than enough to win. And this is just the beginning of the MAGA erosion. It will get much worse over the next year as the midterms approach. Why? Because the MAGAs talk a good game but rarely deliver anything that actually helps anybody but their rich billionaire friends.
The map for voting was gerrymandered… the people of Tennessee are maga.. yet many young people and transplants are progressive and democrats and like all in America some people do not involve theirselves in civic duty because they have been told everything is rigged so why bother… Apathy is the goal… of most politicians..until they start losing then they want your vote. As I understand it the Republicans in TN put Nashville city into four Congressional districts so city residents were a minority in all four.
This is a deep red district. These people are never going to abandon Trump. They are ignorant and uneducated. That so many did vote for Aftyn is incredibly hopeful.
