Trump is the DEVIL himself.

It's all Donald Trumps FAULT. Biden didn't start this war.Biden didn't destroy America, biden didn't take away food stamps , biden didn't take away Health care, biden didn't have a big beautiful bill for the rich.Allthis money could of funded health care. Release the rest of the EPSTEIN FILES, We haven't forgotten donald.

I have written to Governors Hochul, Pritzker and Newson to follow Washington state's lead on taxing people who earn $1million and over. Then using those funds to help with school programs, health care, etc. Brilliant idea.

Also read on how Senator Elizabeth Warren booby trapped Trump into agreeing on her housing act. Another brilliant move.

Linda Weide's avatar

They are taxing people who earn 1 billion in California as I understand. I have to constantly hear from a friend who is not a billionaire how CA will drive the billionaires out with the 5% tax. I say good riddance.

patricia montague's avatar

Me too … we will find a way without the insulting disparity.

No Handle!'s avatar

Anything to avoid paying taxes! Is it possible all of the rest of the billionaires could go there with DeSantis, too?

Linda Weide's avatar

Sounds like a good plan for the rest of us but bad for the Florida Wetlands and people.

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

A concern that the tax will drive innovators — and their tax revenue — out of the state is central to Conway’s critique. “The next Google or the next OpenAI founder, for example, might decide, I will go to another state,” Conway said. “You can’t put a price tag on that.” It’s also why Democrats like Gavin Newsom oppose it. The state’s nonpartisan Legislative Analyst’s Office expects the one-time tax to raise tens of billions of dollars but result in more than $100 million in annual lost revenue because of billionaires leaving the state and other impacts. NYT, 14/16-Mar-26; https://removepaywalls.com/https://www.nytimes.com/2026/03/14/business/dealbook/california-billionaire-tax.html

Linda Weide's avatar

My state lost its biggest billionaire. It could not happen fast enough because he was supporting legislation that was so bad for our state. He still has long arms here but clearly is less invested now. Let him take his company. One of my neighbors' daughter interned in it in the summer before she went to college and was working 12 hour days.

Linda, 5% is not enough in CA as Washington is charging I believe 9.2%.

You are brilliant, Linda W.!

Or maybe, just maybe the federal government should fund it instead of spending billions on illegal wars and other Republican dumbshit...they scream "we cant afford it" when its something that helps people but they'll spend every tax payer dollar on bullshit and nonsense.

Or it’s about immigrants. And Biden.

Trump killed the 70-year old Atlantic Alliance, insulted each and every one of our allies and a whole bunch of other countries as well, to the point that he's disliked around the world - he and America both.

If he's going to be replaced by someone sane, that person will have to spend their first term desperately trying to move the country back to the Constitution that served us so well.

If we want to really an effort to bring back America, we're gonna need a whole more people to wake up.

Martha Kenne's avatar

And desperately try to convince our allies that "we're back" like Biden did after Orangey 1.0

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

3 terms minimum will be needed:

2028: stop digging the hole; stanch the bleeding; seek to detoxify the schisms of hatred

2032: pursue rebirth and rebuilding with an eye toward the future as a reunified nation

2036: rejoin the world community by seeking forgiveness and trying to reestablish trust

Porter's avatar

Wishful thinking, I know, but it's a really good start.

MICHAEL ODELL's avatar

The first term should be spent debugging the clearly inadequate fault isolation and recovery mechanisms in the Constitution.

The next President is going to need to have a strong Secretary of State (one that wears the correct shoe size as well). The damage that has been done is going to take decades to repair.

How can England, France, Canada, Mexico, Japan, and other friends be sure when America speaks, it’s with moral authority. Right now it’s all bluster, lies, and insults.

We started a war that didn’t need to be done and as a result we are allowing Russia to profit from it. In turn Russia will use that to continue their attack on Ukraine.

The next administration needs to win back our neighbors and Europe, if not too late.

Why is Netanyahu leading tRump around by the nose?

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

"Every day I talk to Bibi about the war. I want him to focus on the war and not on the f*cking court case. I want the only pressure on Bibi to be the fighting against Iran," Trump said in a phone interview. "Tell him I am exposing him. That [Israeli] president better damn well give him the pardon right now — and stop using it as leverage for his own political career," he said. Trump added that Netanyahu is a wartime prime minister who "should not be in jail" and said he refuses to meet [Israeli President Isaac] Herzog until the pardon is granted.

Everyday communications .. unreal!! Thugs of war-murder stick together? Criminals having each others back? I get it, they’re both headed to jail … without more war. Thank you.

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

Absolutely. Start a war together. "You can't fire either of us - it would be treason! We are war-footing leaders" (Please recall similar words from Bush, Jr. re: Iraq/Afghanistan). War makes oil companies richer and war materiel companies' profits soar, as everything else suffers. Next up, generic Rx medications. "Strait of Hormuz standoff puts supply of America's generic drug prescriptions at risk"; CNBC; 16-Mar-26; https://tinyurl.com/3xr8sp8n The absence of thought and planning is both astounding and appalling (or was that work done only to be ignored and discarded in his/their self-interest(s)?) Bibi has blackmailed Trump. It isn’t hard to do

Anne McLeod Ryan's avatar

I think it is already too late James - the other countries are already setting up their realities that will continue for many, many years to come and the USA will be, essentially, out of the picture.

James Wilson's avatar

You might be right, but I’m optimistic that we can elect leaders who can begin repairing the damage that has been done. It’s going to be hard and mistakes will be made.

Anne McLeod Ryan's avatar

Now to get those MAGA people to see and understand and that could turn the tide. I hope so.

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

They have come to realize that the ally that rallied with and for them in WWI/WWII has become the enemy that seeks to destroy them in WWIII. What real choice do they have?

Irene Finn's avatar

Trump train wrecked any believers in America. Unfortunately they can’t help believing that a huge majority of Americans are as insane as Trump the President the President they voted to put into office. No doubt about America has a huge bunch insane racist white people as a huge bunch of crazes ass kissing black people.

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

In part the logical extension of US inconsistency. Starting with Bush 41:

Bush 41, 4 years of GOP

Clinton, 8 years of Dems

Bush 43, 8 years of GOP

Obama, 8 years of Dems

45, 4 years of the Hell’s prelude

Biden, 4 years of Dems

47, Armageddon

The pendulum swings wildly. We were an unreliable ally 35+ years. Now we have failed.

In the words of H. L. Mencken: “For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.” The Idiot in Chief has proved this point again and again.

Let’s just hope the good people of this country finally learn that age old lesson that elections have consequences. In the 40 years I’ve been following this 💩show called American politics, they appear to haven’t learned a thing. I’m not terribly optimistic that this time will be any different.

Kimmel mocks Melania Trump documentary

At the Oscars on Sunday night, Jimmy Kimmel mocked Melania Trump's documentary, contrasting it with films from creators who risk their lives for the truth. Kimmel described her project as "trying on shoes" in the White House. He also took a jab at free speech, jokingly comparing CBS and North Korea's leadership.

Personally, when I look at the face of Trump, all I see is pure evil. But I also see Vladimir Putin standing behind him as a puppeteer.

The Cold War with Russia has never ended. I remember in the early 90s learning about Russian propaganda targeting white middle class women. The propaganda was anti-VAX. What better way to kill off Americans.

And then there is the KGB participating in various sex rings by paying for blackmail tapes on high ranking officials. How many Americans in high power positions are following Putin’s orders. The big beautiful bill is definitely reflective of an authoritarian takeover.

We need to get 66% in the House and

Senate in order to overrule Trump‘s vetoes.

The problem is MAGA .. the cultist dumbasses.

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

To some extent, but might the facilitating dark money make some difference?

"Firms contributing to dark money groups are 11.8 percentage points more likely to receive government subsidies, which is a 24.3% increase relative to the sample standard deviation." Shining a Light on Firms’ Political Connections: The Role of Dark Money; Oxford Academic; 18-Aug-25 https://academic.oup.com/rcfs/article/14/4/989/8237426

How about this evil from The Heritage Foundation: [Repression of women’s independence; a return to barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen]

Saving America by Saving the Family: A Foundation for the Next 250 Years; The Heritage Foundation; 8-Jan-26; https://www.heritage.org/marriage-and-family/report/saving-america-saving-the-family-foundation-the-next-250-years

"Summary. To end America’s family crisis, policymakers and civic leaders should treat restoring the family home as a matter of justice, driven by two truths. The first is that all children have a right to the affection and protection of the man and woman who created them. The second is that the ideal environment in which to exercise this right is in a loving and stable home with their married biological parents. In contrast, the default in American culture today is to put the desires of adults over the needs of children. Children are too often called to sacrifice what is due to them—the presence of their mom and dad under the same roof for the entirety of their childhood."

patricia montague's avatar

Well, aren’t they (dark donors + fed society) all MAGA too? That’s how I think of them anyways.. leaders of the cult. And of course money driven. The mega-churches (corps) are money driven … it’s all evil. It may just be time to move on … as a heart doc once explained to a friend of mine when asked why did the heart a-fib happen, the doc simply said “evil came”. Well, evil has come.

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

Yes, of course, but in reading your comment, I saw a possible distinction between what you term the "the cultist dumbasses," whom I interpret to be the mindless sheep (maybe I am wrong here) and those with big bucks who use the mindless flock, while fleecing them.

“The worldview of The Party imposed itself most successfully on people incapable of understanding it. They could be made to accept the most flagrant violations of reality because they never fully grasped the enormity of what was demanded of them.” ... “To keep them in control was not difficult. All that was required of them was a primitive patriotism which could be appealed to whenever it was necessary to make them accept longer working hours or shorter rations.” "1984"; George Orwell

Renee Goodman's avatar

Patricia, yes, but they are a much smaller percentage than the great people of the USA!
