I have to agree, Will. Ben Mesielas' manner of speaking and his wit help me to laugh. Even though these are extremely serious matters, Ben puts the issues into perspective. And, I start laughing, which is so uplifting.

As an Afghan who worked with U.S. forces and now living in uncertainty, I listen to these discussions with heavy heart. We were told about strength, leadership, and standing by allies. But many of us were left behind.
When I hear talk about power, strategy, and global leadership, I just ask one question what about those who risked everything for America?
We are still here, hiding, struggling, waiting. Please don’t forget us. Real leadership also means keeping your promises to your allies.
What would happen if Joe Blow didn’t show up in response to his subpoena? I think we all know. No one is above the law is no longer true under this regime. Democrats - please don’t let this refusal by Pam Bondi just die a quiet death!
Our teenage daughter was summoned as a "witness" to the assault of her co-worker. She testified a couple of times that she only saw them drive off in the boyfriend's car. She missed multiple days of work to only have the trial postponed several times. She finally told the judge that she had spoken under oath several times and that she wouldn't appear again. She was warned in no uncertain terms that if she didn't show she would be in contempt of court and a warrant would be sworn out. This is what happens to the average Joe Blow.
Disgusting that these arrogant people believe they are above the law. Worse yet is it seems to be true!

Several Senators have finally reached out to Dr Lee asking for mental health experts to prepare a statement that was then submitted to Rep Jamie Raskin who has asked for a full neuro psych evaluation of the President. I saw a term used on a post the other day: double haters. It is people who hate both the republicans and the democrats and I am starting to think that other than a few dems, I am falling into that category. Just as you stated, we are drowning. Where has congress been during the multiple crises we have been going through this year.
I hear a lot of "both sides" arguments in my red state. There can be bad people on both sides, but Democrats call them out and quickly force them out. Republicans cover up and make excuses. Since the current congress is controlled by Republicans, there is little Democrats can do, but I believe they are being creative and doing what they can. There is just so much chaos and lawlessness from this regime to deal with!
