There were ICE ads attempted during the games at the start of the football season. I believe that enough of us made enough noise to nip that in the bud.
They tried again during the Rose Bowl. That didn't work, either. I've read that they are accepting anything they can get. Essentially: can you walk, can you drive, do you have your own firearm, can you shoot - sort of thing.

They get $50.000 for joining. Where is that money coming from and why pay to join. They get the mean hateful guys that are

The money is spent to attract the demographic they want: battle-eager straight, white males with inflated egos and a streak of brutality. The bonus money comes from the skyrocketing DHS budget paid by taxpayers. The GOP-controlled Congress continues to dole out BILLIONS to fund DHS activities. It makes me sick! 🤢
Good idea, Joyce! I have often wondered this too. I'm most certain in the beginning these thugs are MAGA bigots but lately it seems some are either active military (making some spare bucks) or recent veterans. They seem way too experienced in shooting those guns. Just look at the way they point and aim. Could be police officers as well, supplementing their incomes. There is a reason why they are masked. They don't want us to see their identity for a reason. Hell, they could be our neighbours, co-workers, family members etc.
Sadly, this ice agent has been with the organization for 10 years. Now they’re claiming he had PTSD from a prior run in with a car in an immigration arrest. If he has PTSD he shouldn’t have been working. I think a journalism in piece on how they are hired and how they are vetted would be interesting to Dems and MAGA too

I would venture to say there is no vetting. I’m sure many could not pass a traditional background investigation. And having only 47 (not a typo and references the President) days of training invites horrible outcomes.
