Important Message from MeidasTouch Co-Founder
Hey everyone, it’s Ben Meiselas, MeidasTouch co-founder.
As always, I wanted to start the day by talking with you about what we’re facing and what we’ve all witnessed over the past 24 hours.
We are seeing major global developments as tensions once again escalate following Donald Trump’s threats toward Iran. Iran responded by striking a UAE ship, a South Korean vessel, and the UAE port of Fujairah, a critical port used to bypass Iranian control of the Strait of Hormuz.
The United States initially denied that Iran targeted two U.S. Navy ships, but reports now confirm that it did occur. Trump had previously claimed he would “blow Iran off the map” if that happened. And yet, when it did, once again, his bluff was called.
I’ll be covering all of this in detail in a video this morning.
Of course, the markets reacted negatively to Trump’s recklessness, but more importantly, everyday Americans are struggling. Gas prices are rising, costs are increasing, and there is no clear end in sight. This isn’t just about markets. It’s about real people feeling the consequences.
Trump has placed himself, and the country, in a quagmire of his own making. And there’s no one coming to bail him out.
We will continue monitoring the situation closely. If you haven’t already, check out my early video on YouTube this morning—4 a.m. on the West Coast, 7 a.m. for those on the East Coast.
My next video focuses on a major European summit held in Yerevan, Armenia—and this is a very big deal.
Just eight years ago, Armenia was widely viewed as a former Soviet satellite with little alignment toward Europe. Now, it’s hosting a major European gathering. That alone marks a historic shift.
But there’s more:
Ukraine played a major leadership role at the summit, and Canada was invited, marking the first time a non-European country participated at this level. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney effectively filled a leadership void on the global stage.
The speeches, from Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Carney, and other European leaders, shared a consistent message: reliability, predictability, cooperation, and respect for sovereignty. A commitment to multilateralism, not isolation.
In other words, while Trump pushes “America First,” the rest of the world is building alliances without the United States. “America First” has increasingly meant “America alone.”
As Trump continues trying to support and help Vladimir Putin, Europe and its allies are stepping up—and this summit reflects a major realignment with long-term global implications.
Meanwhile, back at home, the situation is just as troubling.
Donald Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson, and House Oversight Chair James Comer have officially canceled Pam Bondi’s deposition related to the Epstein files.
Instead, they’ve replaced it with a closed-door, transcribed interview scheduled for May 29—not under oath, not on video, and entirely controlled. Because Democrats do not hold the majority in the House, they cannot dictate the format or force a sworn deposition.
Republicans are now attempting to keep everything secret—no video, no accountability, no transparency—while Democrats fight just to get basic visibility into the process.
This comes as Trump moves closer to potentially pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell, raising even more concerns about a broader cover-up surrounding the Epstein files.
It is deeply disturbing.
We will continue following all of these developments closely and bringing you the facts every step of the way.
There’s much more I’m covering today, but I’ll pause here as I head to record more videos this morning.
