My daily mantra ✨️ because we still have this right! ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Right of Revolution: The Declaration of Independence states that when a government becomes destructive of the people's rights and aims to reduce them under "absolute despotism," the people have the right and duty to throw off such a government and institute a new one.
We do this, but my personal opinion? I think it's bullshit. Because they've already took control of a lot of institutions like the Media, the judges, meaning the so-called "supreme" court. And installed many loyalist. But anyway, go on and read below to see how we so-called "win". I'll believe it when I see it. But for now I'm a huge skeptic. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
In the event the United States became fully authoritarian, removing the government through normal legal or constitutional means would be difficult as an authoritarian regime would likely work to dismantle checks and balances, control the judiciary, and corrupt the electoral process. The primary mechanism recommended by experts to prevent and counter authoritarianism involves a whole-of-society nonviolent resistance strategy and the use of the remaining democratic institutions to their fullest extent.
Constitutional and Institutional Mechanisms (if still available)
Elections: The most effective way to defeat authoritarianism is at the ballot box. Protecting the integrity of free and fair elections, even at local and state levels, remains a critical focus of pro-democracy efforts.
Judiciary: An independent judiciary is a key safeguard of the rule of law. Citizens and public servants can bring legal challenges against unconstitutional actions, though an authoritarian regime would likely try to pack the courts with loyalists.
Impeachment: The Constitution provides for the impeachment of a president by a simple majority in the House and removal by a two-thirds majority in the Senate. This mechanism has high political barriers to success.
25th Amendment: This allows for the Vice President and a majority of Cabinet officials to declare the President incapable of holding office, which then requires a two-thirds majority in both the House and Senate to confirm the removal.
Federalism: State and local governments can act as checks against federal overreach, as they run many aspects of government and elections in America.
Nonviolent Civil Resistance and Social Mobilization
If institutional avenues are closed, a whole-of-society response becomes essential. Strategies include:
Mass Nonviolent Resistance: Research suggests nonviolent campaigns are twice as likely to succeed as violent ones because they draw mass participation and can split the "pillars of power" (e.g., security forces, civil servants). This can include strikes, sit-ins, and large-scale protests.
Building Coalitions: Forming broad, non-partisan pro-democracy coalitions of civic groups, labor unions, professional associations, and even defecting political figures is crucial to unite against the autocratic danger and coordinate action.
Protecting Independent Institutions: Rallying around non-partisan public servants, journalists, and an independent media to resist purges and disinformation campaigns is vital.
Local Action: Building local democracy hubs and civic "fire brigades" in communities can provide a networked resistance that is harder to centralize and suppress.
International Support: Alerting international partners and allies can help to apply external pressure and maintain international recognition of a legitimate opposition.
The U.S. government explicitly makes it unlawful to advocate for the overthrow of the government by force or violence. Therefore, the focus of experts and pro-democracy organizations is on fortifying democratic institutions and preparing for widespread peaceful, pro-democracy mobilization and resistance within the bounds of the rule of law whenever possible.
I agree. Also, protests of the "No Kings" kind--involving 7 million people and spread across the US--validate the resistance and provide cover for leaders who want to do the "will of the people" but need support. Rep. Swallwell of CA says that GOP legislators have told him they are afraid of what "Trump's people" will do to them if they don't follow the company line. Swallwell says, "If they are afraid to do their jobs, they should find different jobs." Aren't Dem politicians afraid? If they are, they are doing their jobs anyway. How would they feel if they swallowed their fears and did their jobs, only to find that people were not showing up to demonstrate and support them. Not good, I'm afraid. This is a movement, and it takes millions upon millions to make it happen, in whatever way they can.
I think the Democrats face more threats from "Trump's people" than the Republicans do, yet they show up and aren't afraid of town halls. The Republicans are greedy cowards.
Linda Budd, you are barking up the wrong tree you psycho. Go check your brain you sick fuck. Get off my comment with that bullshit talk. What warranted this asinine rant of yours, you damn idiot. Do me a favor and go fuck yourself. I have very little patience for morons like you. And don't come saying this comment wasn't for you. You @ me and replied directly TO ME. You definitely caught me at the wrong time because like I said I have no patience for this bullshit that you just pulled. I don't support the orange pedophile. Maybe that's you and your family who do. 🖕🖕🖕👊
It's just anger and frustration. A lot of us are afflicted with feelings like that, so I understand, even though I would not express it that way. My grandfather came here from Poland back around the time when Tsar Nicholas II was heading Russia. I didn't learn this until late in life, but he was actually a dissident working to smuggle refugees from Russia and Lithuania into Poland, and from there to other destinations. He finally fled for his life, into Europe and then into the US. We often take our freedom for granted. When tyrants steal our freedom and usurp power, it makes us angry. It makes us want to flee or fight. To his dying day, my grandfather lived with the fear that the Russians would find out where he was and would "take him out." I'm glad that never happened, and that he found a new life here. But if we don't act now, we may find ourselves gripped by the same fears. The time is now for understanding and conquering our fears, and then working to strengthen our liberty. Yes, we are very divided right now...but we will all be asked to make a choice. We all need to make choices that are motivated by humanitarian concern and political understanding, not just anger and frustration.
I hear ya - I don’t know what to do now - I belong to a FB group that tracks & gives people a heads up on where ICE is with locations & such - video’s are posted - they’re just taking anybody & anyone - it’s crazy - hell they just went into a breakfast restaurant in my neighborhood suburbs & got 3-4 people. Helicopters & drones are being used!
Please be aware that while you're tracking ICE on Facebook Peter Thiel is tracking everything you say and do on FB and everywhere you go on the internet. You could be the next person who is disappeared.
Mark Zuckerberg is a liar and a fascist who has repeatedly broken his own "rules," lied under oath to Congress, and broken his agreements with the FTC. If everyone deleted their FB accounts, maybe he'd give a damn because it would affect the only thing he cares about: his profits.
I have never used FB because I read their "privacy" policy and declined to agree to it from the beginning. I'm not an expert on how to "clean up" a FB account, but even if you did, they will continue to spy on you and sell/share your data, and Peter Thiel is currently scraping social media user data, to be entered into and organized by Palantir. This will put everyone at risk of being targeted by this authoritarian regime at some point, and then it will be too late to do anything about it. Meta lures people to their platform by promising the moon, then changing the rules as soon as they feel enough users will not leave because they've been addicted, locked in to the "convenience," and Meta has destroyed competition by buying out any startups who were threatening their monopoly (i.e., Instagram and What'sApp). Cory Doctorow has written about this "enshittification" trap.
Years ago I saw a report from a visiting student from the EU who took a class at Stanford, which included discussions on FB's privacy policies (this was before they changed to Meta). This student requested all his FB data be sent to him. At the time, he said even though their stated policy was that personal emails and deleted emails would not be kept or shared, he was shocked to see that both deleted and highly personal emails had been saved. Then of course you remember the Cambridge Analytica scandal; if not, read up on it to see just how untrustworthy a company Meta is; or read "Careless People."
They can do what they've been doing: target a few people high on their list of activists in order to scare everyone else and intimidate them to "obey in advance." Right now they're focused on activists and immigrants; if they get away with that, they'll expand the net of targets.
I'm not saying don't speak out or don't protest. I'm just reminding people of what Thiel is up to and how untrustworthy Meta is with your data; they have proven they will not uphold the rule of law or even their own stated policies if it impinges on their profits.
Yes, and timing is everything. I plan to watch the new Ken Burns documentary on the American Revolution, which airs on PBS in mid-November. In it he shows some of the challenges these brave revolutionaries faced and overcame. We need to be as ready to roll as we can. And, as Winston Churchill insisted in the face of fascism: Never, Ever, Ever Give Up. We will have our George Washingtons and Winston Churchills, and some of them will be Georginas and Winnies!
I think the leaders of the charge already are emerging. Right now established players with name recognition need to take center stage, so we will be counting on Gavin Newsom, Jared Pritzker and other governors, as well as the likes of Senator Chris Murphy, Senator Bernie Sanders, Representatives Ro Khanna, AOC, Joe Naguese (sp?) and others. In time, they will be joined by many, primarily young I suspect, enthusiastic and hopefully incorruptible others. I am counting on this, as to me it seems very likely. Hope you are, too.
I'm going to shout out Gov. Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania, who immediately took the Trump regime to court when they cut funding that was earmarked for Pennsylvania from *before* Trump was elected.
1. Make *informed* choices in the upcoming election on Nov. 5
2. Contact your elected representatives and tell them you will support them if they move to "remove the regime"- and that you will not support them if they don't.
3. With an eye toward the mid-terms in 2026, volunteer or donate toward a group or candidate of your choice that is allied with the resistance movement.
4. Keep informed, keep engaged, find more real information on the Meidas Touch Network.
5. Make a plan to work and vote in the mid-term elections (check the date/location of your *primary election* in the Spring, and the final election in November.
6. Volunteer for mass demonstrations and attend town meetings if and when the spirit moves you.
If you take these steps, a path will open up for you to embrace. I wish you success.
The population of Chicago living in fear must be awful. If the police can't protect it's people can your National Guard be called up and protect the citizens? That would result in an escalation with the bad guy , I suspect.
Check in on your neighbors everyone, soon it could be you they come for.

We must resist! The fascists are starving us into submission. My partner and I were fired from our civil service careers. We had to line up at a food bank again, use the same Halloween costumes as last year for our kids, and recycle their candy to give to trick or treaters.
Ben, thank you for publishing MeidasTouch Network writings and videos. Your reporting is very much appreciated and prized much more than just about any corporate media we have at this time. Please keep it going!
The Last Republican is brilliant! Thanks so much for all of the work you continue to do, tirelessly, to bring us the truth about what is happening in our country.
Thanks, Ben! I look forward to both the Documentary and Newsoms podcast. It is great to see the Meidas network growing! Thanks for your commitment to telling us the truth.
Congratulations, Ben! You guys have been my political touchstone since I first discovered you back in the last 💩show called trump’s first term of hell! I tell everyone about your publications and podcasts! Thank you for all you do!💙🇺🇸💜🙏

I am so sorry to hear this, we are on Social Security and now is about the time when we would normally be getting a letter letting us know what our cost of living raise will be. This year, the letter came and we get the exact same thing that we got last year. Not enough. Don't get me wrong, it's better than no paycheck at all, but very hard to do much of anything and the good Lord help us if we get sick and need to see a doctor or get emergency care. This just plain sucks, but no matter how bad it gets I will not kiss his ass and I won't bow down. To be honest, I still do not understand how his followers think that he's making it better and why they can't recognize that what they were afraid of is happening right before their eyes. I have a brother who said he would not vote Democrat because they were all about communism and he didn't want a dictator leading us. Makes sense doesn't it.
There isn't one this year. Not unless it happens in a month or so. The letter that we got shows exactly what we are already getting. So no cost of living raise to start in December. I guess it's still good, at least they didn't take money from us.
Social Security COLA is 2.8% i think. It does not show up until the January payment which is usual and normal. If you’re talking about disability or SSI, I don’t know about those.
Yes, but we already have been notified that our benefits are staying the same. We have always gotten them about this time and before my mom was put in a nursing home, she lived here with us and she said hers always started in December. It never made sense to me, but they are a month ahead or something stupid like that.
There’s 24 hours a day and one Ben Meislas. If you’re doing other work for the network, relaxing, or spending time with your family that is important. Please Ben don’t worry about a missed email and continue prioritizing things
Great job and never apologize! I found your videos on that ghastly party rubbing it in our faces as absolutely abhorred. Keep up the great work and look forward to you and Popok later today!
The ICE thugs are hitting hard in Chicago & suburbs- it’s F’ing crazy - We need to stand up to these thugs!

Protests ARE important!!! They are NOT A WASTE OF TIME!!!! Research studies have poven that the are POSITIVE FOR MENTAL HEALTH!!!!!
Instead of being alone and suffering negative effects from worry and angst,
people channel that energy into POSITIVE ACTION.

So, I hope you’re leading the charge, organising and willing and able to achieve the goal.
I’ve been calling for this action for the last nine months and I’m Australian 🇦🇺
Sure, as long as I'm being joined by brave individuals not cowards.
What’s the steps?
1. Make *informed* choices in the upcoming election on Nov. 5
2. Contact your elected representatives and tell them you will support them if they move to "remove the regime"- and that you will not support them if they don't.
Donate to any group you like that is working to remove the regime https://removalcoalition.org/removetheregime/

Love from Canada
I really appreciate Canada for its kindness after all this country has done, and your understanding that only a relatively small percentage of Americans want these horrors to happen. It would be a tiny percentage actually, but many are fooled by the government propaganda.
I so agree with you, Sue!!
Same here!!
Note to fellow Canadians here!
We have a problem!!
His name is Pierre Poilliever.........aka Trump North
We need to crush this Maggot wanna be.
We need to protect our own backyard
While PM Carney is doing his best te create new markets for us,
as America is slipping into a dictatorship
PP is doing his best to undermine our future.
PP is sayint the PM Carney needs to stay home.
PP cannot be trusted.
PP would make us the 51st state in no time flat
I think the best way for Canadians to support the resistance here in the US is to take care of matters at home. Let everyone know that Canadians reject PP because you want to avoid what your neighbors to the south are going through. I do wish that other countries would just ignore and isolate Trump. Don't invite him to your lands, don't give him any gifts (especially gold), don't answer the phone when he calls, and call the US ambassador on the carpet every day until he finally leaves (or just kick him out now). I'm serious. Trump idolizes Putin, and both of these jerks thrive on recognition by the world leaders. Do not validate them, shun them.
I agree and was worried about PP and Danielle as well!
Thank you, Jamie!!
National Strike.......a one day shutdown..every week.......naional boycotts of Trumpism related companies...........set date for next NOKINGS immediatly!!!
Big demonstration planned for November 22 - "Remove the Regime."
WJB, I agree 100%! I forget when but I think in the 70’s when gas prices soared, people stopped buying gas totally for 1-2 days and they came down drastically. Also when Coffee & Sugar prices soared we did the same thing, so everyone needs to get on board to make it happen! Whatever companies that are supporting the Dumpster stop buying from them and purchase elsewhere!
When it comes to ICE, I keep saying that the local and State Law Enforcement, rather than banding with ICE to carry out their travesty, they need to follow their oath to serve and protect. Record ICE activities, mainly their wrongdoings, arrest them accordingly, and hold them responsible for their illegal acts of violence against people, and their disregard for civil and human rights and dignities.
Look at what Nepal just did.
I think I’m out of the loop on that. What did Nepal do?
https://www.britannica.com/event/2025-Nepalese-Gen-Z-Protests
L Stanley, thank you very much. That was a good read, people are tired of being silenced and pushed around.
Let’s do it
I watch Tom Powell on YouTube who lives in Illinois and he wants everyone to exercise their second amendment rights and carry guns with you at all times to defend ourselves. Felon 47 would love nothing more so he can grant martial law.
The documentary was excellent...and I plan to watch the Newsom one today. Thanks for ALL that you and your team do for us!
We must resist! The fascists are starving us into submission. My partner and I were fired from our civil service careers. We had to line up at a food bank again, use the same Halloween costumes as last year for our kids, and recycle their candy to give to trick or treaters.
So many of us are struggling with DOGE and the MAGA shutdowns - any support makes a big difference: https://democracydefender2025.substack.com/p/emergency-furlough-maga-shutdown
I've seen the Newsome pod (You were awesome as usual)and looking forward to seeing the Documentary. Then seeing the Epstein files 👀😂💪🇨🇦❤️💙
What’s the Newsom one???
You can see Gov Newsom interviewing Ben on YouTube.
Ben was on Gov Newsoms pod cast
Ben, thank you for publishing MeidasTouch Network writings and videos. Your reporting is very much appreciated and prized much more than just about any corporate media we have at this time. Please keep it going!
Is he coming to DC Nov. 18? Is he asking the Meida Mighty also?
The Last Republican is brilliant! Thanks so much for all of the work you continue to do, tirelessly, to bring us the truth about what is happening in our country.
Now create Medias Studios and bring back Schoolhouse Rock so everyone can be better citizens 🎸
Both the documentary and podcast were very good. Thank you to the MTN team! Truth Over Lies! 💙
Thank you for all you do!💙🇺🇸💜🙏
Wow, amazing job Ben, Adam and Governor Newsom. Thank you for all that you do.💙👏

So many of us are struggling with DOGE and the MAGA shutdowns - any support makes a big difference: https://democracydefender2025.substack.com/p/emergency-furlough-maga-shutdown
What is the raise ? I have had anyone mention it to me
There isn't one this year.
Deb, you are absolutely correct. 2.8% increase starting January 1, 2026.
Yes, but we already have been notified that our benefits are staying the same. We have always gotten them about this time and before my mom was put in a nursing home, she lived here with us and she said hers always started in December. It never made sense to me, but they are a month ahead or something stupid like that.
Do you have room to house Meidas Mighty on Nov. 18?
There’s 24 hours a day and one Ben Meislas. If you’re doing other work for the network, relaxing, or spending time with your family that is important. Please Ben don’t worry about a missed email and continue prioritizing things
How do we prove these elections will not be rigged?
Ty Ben, no apologies needed….you are awesome!🫶💙🇺🇸💙
Really enjoyed the Newsom interview. Will watch the documentary as well.
Where what’s it called?
Gov Newsom's interview with Ben is on YouTube here:

Ben, the interview with Gov Newsome was fire 🔥. I'm so proud to be MeidasMighty!
Great job and never apologize! I found your videos on that ghastly party rubbing it in our faces as absolutely abhorred. Keep up the great work and look forward to you and Popok later today!
