This was a powerhouse update, thank you for all the incredible work you’re doing.
The contrast between performative chaos and real accountability couldn’t be clearer. I’ve been writing about these behavioral patterns too: distraction as strategy, spectacle as control.
What you’re building with MeidasTouch is clarity, connection, and truth.
I keep posting. According to Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA) Trumpepstein may cause an "Epstein bomb" causing over 100 Republican members to "jailbreak" from Trump.
Watched your interview with Governor Newsom, it was excellent. It feels like Meidas is growing by leaps and bounds, happy to have been around since the beginning and a proud #MapleMeidas member too. Great work as always.
Each day Trump is more and more out of touch with the plight of the American people. Georg HW Bush damaged his re-election campaign by checking his watch during a debate and not knowing prices of basic groceries. But this guy is literally cutting off vital services like food to his voters and saying it only hurts Democrats and partying it up.
He’s not a unifier and doesn’t care about a single American. He’s the most self serving individual ever and would steal the food from a suffering orphan just because he can. Sadly corporate media isn’t reporting anything about his party or his attempts to restrict food programs.
But it seems the GOP continues to be behind him 99% (well, maybe more than that, MTG seems to be the only one kinda sorta speaking out against him or at least her party, so one out of 219 and maybe paul, massie only about the epstein files). I have a friend who does not have the internet and only watches network news (not fox...wouldn't still be friends if that was the situation) and it's very sad what she does not know about what is going on anywhere. Neilson, which is just one measure I think, reported in July that about 18% of Americans get their news from network news ( and in keeping with the dumbing down of American and maga folks in general, folks that report these things continue to say fox is the leader as more viewers watch fox than abc, cbs or nbc, but that misses the point entirely...for an accurate picture we need to see that fox has way less viewers than those outlets combined...and basically those three outlets report the same news as each other, so the majority of folks who watch network news don't prefer fox). I think we need to continue to pressure network news to cover the stories MTN does because there still are millions of folks who watch, but it seems to me it's more important to expand our viewership to folks who no longer watch network news.
agree with your view that americans have been dumbed down to the point of being unamerican. i have a deep sense of sadness at the state of hate that trump has created. trump also has exacerbated the sense of selfishness in so many americans, that their wants and desires (based on tribal, racist and feudal levels of intelligence) are greater than the mosaic of communities in our country.
how do those former republicans look themselves in the mirror each morning? what do they teach their children and grandchildren about truth, justice, and honor? when they attend their place of worship do they ask for forgiveness for their sins of supporting a known criminal and corrupt human to seek revenge on all who cross him? do they question how they can support the opposite of what every holy book says .... where do they find the words in their holy books or conscience to actually support 'feeding the rich and starving the poor'???
what happened to all those 'lost republicans' who did not seek reelection because they knew that serving trump was wrong and evil? have they subsequently stood up and stood out? what are they doing to fight back against trump and his gang of corrupt sycophants? i also question why bush (W) and many former republican governors haven't formed an alliance and are constantly demonstrating trumps lies as being unpatriotic and unamerican. likewise obama and clinton should be stating the obvious that trump is a dictator, that the present republican congress is merely a putin-style rubber stamp congress, that the icestapo has been given powers that only 3rd world police states and dictatorships have.
why are they silent about making statements using the real world word 'DICTATOR'? authoritarianism doesn't say it. it's the soft approach to not upsetting trump. the former leaders in our democracy should be blatantly and visibly calling trump to stop his lies, stop trying to destroy and starve the poor, stop trying to enrich and empower the oligarchs, and to say that our constitutional democracy will be murdered at the hand of dictator trump.
who cares how the fox/newsmax/oan/ state media etc try and belittle it all…... The patriotic republican and democratic leaders need to counter the trump/putin/hitler/goebbels use of propaganda..... SAY IT LOUD ENOUGH, OFTEN ENOUGH, IN ORDER TO GET PEOPLE TO BELIEVE THE TRUTH.
Wow, I think you have been reading my mind!!! And do they praise their kids for getting in trouble at school for bullying other kids??? Do they fund awards at school for the biggest bully??? I do know that around here all the church goers think trump is the anointed one and that anything bad the news shows is just fake news, so they don't have any problem going to church and praising him and Jesus at the same time. Thank goodness for the rest of the world where there are leaders who feel it's vital for their citizens to have critical thinking skills and they all see right through trump...in the long run I think doing without our consumerism will make many nations stronger....maybe not "richer" but stronger....there is a difference!
“i have a deep sense of sadness at the state of hate that trump has created” … it’s more accurate to say the state of hate that elevated trump and his evil minions. Trump did not create this state of hate and evil, it has always been there in 30-40% of the US voters.
yep, trump has made hate totally acceptable and unapologetic. in 2016 he opened pandoras box and let all the most deplorables out into society, and we will have to live with that for decades to come…..so now more play nice - no more bipartisan shit - no more bullshit like ‘love conquers hate’… as gavin says, we fight fire with fire, we outflag the unamericans, we state the obvious in short sentences, repeat it loudly, repeat it often, until people start to believe in the truth…. viva la resistencia. vive la resistance. resist. samud.
Yes! GOP is motivated by hate, the rest of us should be motivated not by “joy” or “love”, but by unapologetic ANGER to combat their hate. Outrage is not enough without an intense anger that drives you to do something about it!
He's already stealing the food from the innocent everywhere in America and elsewhere with abolishing USAID. And in that case they let the food rot that had already been sent . They would not let it be distributed and here in America the food that the farmers grew is not being used because it has not been harvested or has been but there are no buyers. Total destruction is his only goal
I never saw the farmers get any help as yet. The other thing was the medicine that was there was not allowed to be used so hundreds have died because of that and will continue to die.
People we can convince re war powers act: Trump notified Congress about the first strike in his operation on Sept. 4, meaning the 60th day will arrive on Monday. That timing had raised the question of whether he would stop or, if not, how he would justify continuing the operation.

A toilet’s a toilet. Its function is the same, whether it”s gold, porcelaine, or a wood cubicle in the north forty, downhill from one”s residence. If it’s indoors and flushes when needed, many people worldwide consider that a bonus. Even better if someone else cleans it on a regular basis.
Why does the President of the United States find it necessary to share details of his bathroom facilities with whoever he thinks might listen? Seriously, Donald - there are much more important things that should occupy your mind, such as the release of the UNREDACTED Epstein files, affordable health care, and the fact that some people in the US go to bed every night hungry.. That’s the stuff that is hard to flush away.
The MTN is growing and expanding because you speak truth to power. You let the people and the world know what’s taking place in this awful regime with truth, integrity and honesty. You don’t pull any punches and you show the good, the bad and the ugly. I’m proud to be part of this Network.
Ben and brothers, thank you for all you do and know you are greatly appreciated.
The Russian Red Famine of 1932-33 repeats itself, but in the US. Ironically it will be the red states that bear the brunt of SNAP funds being withheld.
Trump may be remembered as the American Stalin.
We can only hope enough people wake up in time to stop.
keep yapping trump, keep opening that big unfiltered mouth of yours, it only helps with all of the lawsuits against you. Especially when you say things like - "it's only in blue states." Go ahead, keep it up you moron, life-sucking worm.
He is going to lie himself into a corner. That spectacle at magalardo was so tone deaf to reality, of course.
I guess they want the 1920s again!!! The good ole days!
I was raised by parents who lived thru all of that. They were not good stories they told. . WTF with these people. There was nothing that ended well for the roaring 20s.
I hope you are right about lying himself into a corner. So far seems he gets away with it. I just hope the voters in red states see this truth. I think reality is starting to sink in, and no matter what trump and their elected officials say, they are seeing grocery prices rise, many are in fear of losing food stamps and health care and I do believe that many really do see that it's the GOP that is causing this. And for those who are realizing this, and are seeing trump and their elected officials partying at maralargo I truly feel bad...while it's almost easy to say What did you expect, you voted for this, they really didn't quite vote for what is happening...many have no critical thinking skills and no matter how much Harris or economists told them differently they could not figure out that making government smaller meant cutting SNAP benefits/health care, increasing prices due to tariffs, and job loss due to , well everything. Some of them rejoice if they see ICE agents slamming elderly American citizens to the ground, but I think many of them if they knew this was happening would not approve.
Once again you got me to thinking -- so I know that Biden wanted to increase internet access to rural areas; but, just wondered about states in general. Wondered if part of the issue in red states if they just didn't have as much access as other states do. Sooooo
"The analysis finds that over 18 million households rely solely on smartphones for internet connectivity or do not own a computer, affecting roughly 33.2 million people in total. Collectively, these statistics make up the number of households without access to large screen computers
Nearly one in four households in places like Mississippi, West Virginia, Arkansas, and Louisiana do not have access to a large screen computer, creating the need for local, targeted solutions that open up reliable digital access to healthcare, education, job opportunities, and connections.
In Alabama, Kentucky, and Oklahoma, nearly 1 in 5 households faced similar challenges.
Puerto Rico has the greatest need for devices in the nation, with 40% of households relying solely on a smartphone to go online or not having access to any type of computing device. The digital divide is narrowest in Colorado, Idaho, New Hampshire, Utah, and Washington, where fewer than 10% of households do not have access to a large screen computer.
Great research! I had no idea there were still that many folks without internet access! And I imagine phone service is spotty...where I live I have to go outside to use my cell phone and sometimes it's not very reliable there, and while I get texts in my house I often have to go outside to send them. I now can get the internet on my phone at home because I finally got an internet provider that does that but that's only been the last year or so, and before that I had to drive about 1/2 mile down the road to get the internet on my phone so I know for many in rural areas even having a cell phone isn't enough.
I live 10 miles away from town and usually there is no problem with my cell phone. The home phone and internet are another issue. I'd say the worst that happens is that my computer gets so slow it might as well go backwards and my phone always has static. Just recently my internet was out for 3 days and last year it took almost 3 months to get it working right again. Now AT&T is doing its best to discontinue service in my zip code which is close to half of the county.
10 miles in the other direction from town it is like you described. Very spotty.
If I open Edge or AOL on my computer there is an array of all kinds of information sites, videos on several subjects, political issues, etc., to choose from. You simply could not get everything on a phone. What I was thinking was that access to different viewpoints on one page wouldn't be available so users would go directly to whatever their preferred broadcaster was. This would narrow what a person was exposed to.
I really hope so too Pat. You can only turn a blind eye to being fooled for so long. Granted, his followers are just not ALL getting it. But when all his cronies keep lying as well, and doing things that are not good to help them. I don't see how he gets thru three more years
a great 'wish upon a star' - but the wealthy NEVER suffer. they've learned the lesson from the great depression. diversify..... the oligarchs here are just like the russian oligarchs - they control every facet of the economy - and are too big to fail. as long as they kiss the ass of their dictator/king, they will always be wealthy and above the law. boycotts don't work against the wealthy, because too many americans are just looking for 'good deals' in order the feed their family of get what new consumer shit they think they need. our economy is built upon this rancid and rabid consumerism (thanks (but no thanks) to reagan).
a targeted approach of not buying things made in red states could help.....even though this is something most people are not prepared to spend the time doing....
google (or non google search is preferable wherever possible like duckduckgo) where the manufacturing is based, where the company HQ is (city and county) then cross reference to the way states and counties voted in terms of trump vs kamala https://www.cnn.com/election/2020/results/president, then make a decision.
the number of people who will do this is miniscule, but every time someone doesn't buy in a statistically trump republican state/county, is reducing the amount of revenue there, and thus reducing the chance those people will have extra money to donate to trump repugnican organizations. every little bit helps...
other approaches that could help - don't buy anything on zuckerbergs sites facebook, insta etc and don't buy on bezos sites amazon etc because they all get financial benefits from every sale......
try buying at the local co-op than the big box companies....
every tiny dent in their profits will help....
but in the end, i doubt many americans will do this - especially not the ones without jobs or benefits due to trump....people have to live and we are all caught in the vice grip of consumerism and 'sales' that propels the big companies to capture more and more of our consumer $.....
the more 'wealthy and job secure' people who have a moral commitment to our constitution and democracy should definitely be able to do this...
Exactly, every little bit helps. Since funding out about who bending er for trump, that gave me an insight on where to spend my money. I don't do amazon, Walmart, target Kroger etc. most of my grocery shopping is from a Mexican store and a German store. Also a Mediterranean store. So,.I'm not doing without what I need. This bullshit about support American stores - riiiiight. That's who fucked me over. Fuck them.
I think that Amazon may already be preparing for this to happen. Amazon is firing lots of people and closing warehouses. One article said that the people will be replaced with AI and robots.
Great what you are all doing. Could you do interviews with the Epstein survivors?
I don't think Trump can keep up with everything. He seems to be really collapsing. Cracks are showing and we need to keep pushing back and standing up for truth and honor. Evil can't stand up to truth and honor.
I really enjoyed listening to two men speak with Truth, Honesty and Common Sense during your interview with Gov. Gavin Newsom. As we all know, that is lacking in the regime currently in power. I pray we can turn this around sooner than later. 💙🇺🇸
Help your neighbors, friends family and pets during the SNAP SHUTDOWN! The Democrats and a few Republicans know everything will get much worse unless they fight for health care, SNAP, and education cuts that are looming. This is no longer America.
I struggle with the issue about should I help the local food pantry. I live in a 99% red area where 99% of the folks voted for trump. Should there be no consequences for the way they voted? For now I am donating to Ukraine rather than locally...no one in Ukraine voted for the war they are in and it's despicable that the US has not helped them more.
I hear ya, although I still think of the innocents that had nothing to do with voting. Maybe there are some children's programs, like for school lunches or something.
Ukraine definitely needs all the help it can get, especially now that the cold weather has set in there and Putin is bombing the hell out of their gridwork.
i totally understand your rationale. i would do the same if i lived in a trumpaholic area as you do. i shudder at the thought of helping trump voters to alleviate the pain their cult-oriented vote have brought about.
i think is democratically held cities and counties, the statistical possibility of helping an anti-trump voter is greater than that of helping a trump voter.
that's how i decide how i buy things - where they are made - and the subsequent potential of my dollars helping those people donate more money and love to dictator trump.... i use this map as a guide - you can click down to the county level as well. https://www.cnn.com/election/2020/results/president
thank you for having a political conscience - even though it may seem counter to our religious and humane conscience at times :(

Not bad enough he was letting food rot. The farmers who provided the food were not being paid. I don't recall if that was ever resolved or not.

Yes, that too re the medicine. Just another form of eugenics to deprive people of the medicine they needed, particularly for aids.

I don't see how he gets thru three more years
I do not understand how these obiligards will remain in business if people cannot afford to buy their garbage? Ex; Amazon.
So many are losing their jobs. Makes no dam sense to me.
I truly hope some end up CRASHING.
They will take their billions and retire to an island. Boycott!
The billionaire companies have diversified so much that if one branch crashes the other ones will continue on.
For example: Bezos owns 16 companies under his name:

a great 'wish upon a star' - but the wealthy NEVER suffer. they've learned the lesson from the great depression. diversify..... the oligarchs here are just like the russian oligarchs - they control every facet of the economy - and are too big to fail. as long as they kiss the ass of their dictator/king, they will always be wealthy and above the law. boycotts don't work against the wealthy, because too many americans are just looking for 'good deals' in order the feed their family of get what new consumer shit they think they need. our economy is built upon this rancid and rabid consumerism (thanks (but no thanks) to reagan).
a targeted approach of not buying things made in red states could help.....even though this is something most people are not prepared to spend the time doing....
google (or non google search is preferable wherever possible like duckduckgo) where the manufacturing is based, where the company HQ is (city and county) then cross reference to the way states and counties voted in terms of trump vs kamala https://www.cnn.com/election/2020/results/president, then make a decision.
the number of people who will do this is miniscule, but every time someone doesn't buy in a statistically trump republican state/county, is reducing the amount of revenue there, and thus reducing the chance those people will have extra money to donate to trump repugnican organizations. every little bit helps...
other approaches that could help - don't buy anything on zuckerbergs sites facebook, insta etc and don't buy on bezos sites amazon etc because they all get financial benefits from every sale......
try buying at the local co-op than the big box companies....
every tiny dent in their profits will help....
but in the end, i doubt many americans will do this - especially not the ones without jobs or benefits due to trump....people have to live and we are all caught in the vice grip of consumerism and 'sales' that propels the big companies to capture more and more of our consumer $.....
the more 'wealthy and job secure' people who have a moral commitment to our constitution and democracy should definitely be able to do this...
Fuck them.
:)
O and trump wants to get to heaven? Good luck with that. Same goes for all these rich obiligards. HELL BOUND.
I think that Amazon may already be preparing for this to happen. Amazon is firing lots of people and closing warehouses. One article said that the people will be replaced with AI and robots.
Yeah, as a result many are boycotting and cutting their subscriptions.
Boycotts work - Elon's tesla is a great example.
Gavin Newsome will be next president 🫶🏻
If not Newsome, I hope it will be someone with a steady hand and common sense. At this time, no one else makes the cut!
I get you. Love your Ukraine decision. I'm so angry at half of Americans. 💙
Oh, this is so true! I also live in a very red area. Donating to Ukraine is so appreciated.. Will do the same.
i totally understand your rationale. i would do the same if i lived in a trumpaholic area as you do. i shudder at the thought of helping trump voters to alleviate the pain their cult-oriented vote have brought about.
i think is democratically held cities and counties, the statistical possibility of helping an anti-trump voter is greater than that of helping a trump voter.
that's how i decide how i buy things - where they are made - and the subsequent potential of my dollars helping those people donate more money and love to dictator trump.... i use this map as a guide - you can click down to the county level as well. https://www.cnn.com/election/2020/results/president
thank you for having a political conscience - even though it may seem counter to our religious and humane conscience at times :(
Thank you for your understanding!!!
I just renewed my subscription to Meidas and I couldn’t believe it’s been over a year of living the nightmare of this administration. With that said, thank you for breathing truth and sanity into our world. Keep on!! 🫶
My year anniversary is coming up on the 14th. Like you I was surprised how much time had passed.
