@Clare Sullivan when I first began following Meidas I thought the same as you about video titles and exaggerations; I even thought that some of them were in very bad taste, especially those referring to Trump’s mental illness and/or dementia. Some of the remarks about his skin or parts of his body were too visceral, they turned my stomach; they seemed unwarranted, even cruel. In an ideal media world nobody would need to make shocking remarks to gain attention, or sacrifice dignity and truth to be heard by an audience. Several weeks later I’ve now changed my mind because I’ve realised that Meidas is in competition with other content on YouTube, X etc. where no holds are barred. In fact, by comparison, Meidas titles and exaggerated opinion is often mild. It’s my belief now that the issue is to gain attention and increase subscribers, to spread information as widely as possible and to grow the network in a highly competitive environment. The way this is done may not be to our liking, but Meidas knows what it’s doing having expertise in it’s field, and does it deliberately. In the UK we’d call this tabloid journalism, we’d refer to sensationalist reporters as the gutter press and we’d be very snobby and look down on it all from a great height 😆 but the other side to this is that in this word war against this US regime, anything goes, the opposition is fair game and whatever works, works.

@Clare Sullivan when I first began following Meidas I thought the same as you about video titles and exaggerations; I even thought that some of them were in very bad taste, especially those referring to Trump’s mental illness and/or dementia. Some of the remarks about his skin or parts of his body were too visceral, they turned my stomach; they seemed unwarranted, even cruel. In an ideal media world nobody would need to make shocking remarks to gain attention, or sacrifice dignity and truth to be heard by an audience. Several weeks later I’ve now changed my mind because I’ve realised that Meidas is in competition with other content on YouTube, X etc. where no holds are barred. In fact, by comparison, Meidas titles and exaggerated opinion is often mild. It’s my belief now that the issue is to gain attention and increase subscribers, to spread information as widely as possible and to grow the network in a highly competitive environment. The way this is done may not be to our liking, but Meidas knows what it’s doing having expertise in it’s field, and does it deliberately. In the UK we’d call this tabloid journalism, we’d refer to sensationalist reporters as the gutter press and we’d be very snobby and look down on it all from a great height 😆 but the other side to this is that in this word war against this US regime, anything goes, the opposition is fair game and whatever works, works.
