Someday Medias will have Reporters who are Prodemocracy and report from there

Kathie Punturiero's avatar

Thank you for your ( and your entire network contributors) for the courage and decency to give us the truth

Rae's avatar

They are prodemocracy, and they get the truth, not the damn lies from the current admistration.

You read "Medias" as Meidas. He added an ess to an already plural noun.

The M and the S were in the right place, we are posting on Meidas so our brains just figured it was misspelled and fixed it. :-)

https://www.livescience.com/18392-reading-jumbled-words.html

Of course I had to look further into this issue and came across this article that calls the ability to read a jumbled word typoglycemia. It talks about how the brain functions to read words, age levels, eye acuity and the ability to read jumbled short and longer words. Acetaminophen came to mind.

https://canadacollege.edu/esl/docs/typoglycemia_final.pdf

That led me to wonder if trump doesn't like to read because he is too vain to wear eyeglasses.

So then I found this "Dig deeper:

The exam summary noted that Trump previously had cataract surgery. A common procedure among aging people, the surgery typically involves removing a cloudy eye lens and replacing it with an artificial lens to help clear up vision."

https://www.livenowfox.com/news/trump-physical-exam-results-april-2025

I had cataract surgery and my vision is much better; however, for small print I still need readers at 1.50.

My very early morning trivia post.

Love the post...thank you, Susan!

You're welcome :-)

My apologies 😕

I did the same thing. Luckily Old Uncle Dave caught it for us 🙂

Ben, there are no words. There is no reason to watch mainstream Media that is controlled by billionaire morons. I swear I will never watch MSM again as I seek the truth as to what is going on. You three, Popok, Doll, Freeman and the entire Legal AF Crew, Adam Mockler, Jack Cocharella and Ron - the TRUTH. Thank you for uplifting us all!

Skitealwedrop's avatar

Any politician that is a Convicted Felon should be disqualified from running for any Federal office.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Amen to that! I was hoping for his disqualification and was really expecting it! BUT NOOOOO...here we are!!

Skitealwedrop's avatar

Being a convicted felon has become normal in politics just like being a pedophile. What a fucked up country we live in.

Sharon B's avatar

Is it just me or does it seem like the majority of his administration are either IN the Trumpstein Files or were accused of sexual assault(s) or looked the other way (like the woman in charge of protecting our children via BOE) or helped cover up his crimes before??

Skitealwedrop's avatar

It’s pretty telling that the pedo keeps his criminal defense attorney Todd Blanche by his side.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Yes, you can't get anymore fucked up than that!

DISGUSTING !!! The Orange Fascist Racist Rapist Felon Deranged Mentally impaired Unhinged Immature Fat Dirty Pig must be removed NOW !! Where's the outrage people, our country killed innocent children !! Omfg this criminal war is horrific !! Romanov The Pig Family and their friends ...

patricia montague's avatar

I’ve been asking the same … where is the OUTRAGE? When I think about the lack of outrage my mind turns towards Big Tech. IMHO, the internet or tech has dumbed down human emotion. I believe tech is hurting us more than we can begin to imagine. The disconnectedness is real.

Jeanne's avatar

I ask this every day! Ugh.

Pat Robinson's avatar

I have asked myself the same thing, and the best I can come up with is that so many people are just exhausted by just trying to pay their bills and hope to god they don't have to go to the hospital. This increase in gas prices is just the final straw. Maybe if there really was a lot more affordability and justice for all folks would have the energy to be outraged by the immorality of the war. Or maybe yes indeed we have become so self centered that the only thing that matters is how much gas (and all the consumer goods we really really don't need) cost now.

Susan Raquel's avatar

Maybe it is because of the people that I talk to and know; but, they are all outraged by the war. Even a Republican friend is outraged.

I have a friend that has 3 sons. I knew the youngest wasn't 18; but, wasn't sure about the older boys. I was told that both were over 18. He said the one boy's vision was really bad so he doubted he would be drafted. He told the other son if need be he'd break all his fingers so he wouldn't get drafted. I know he wouldn't do that. I suggested instead that his son wear a dress to the recruiter office.

My friend said that he would suggest that to his son. LOL

Geri Cochran's avatar

Brilliant! :) During the Vietnam War, a mother I know made plans to get her sons who were eligible for the draft, to Canada. Luckily her sons' birthdays were not called up. I remember the fear that my brother who had just turned 18 would be drafted. Though many people I knew were drafted, so many never returned alive. And those men that were on the front lines were never the same; nor were the female nurses. :( Why does this government not learn from past mistakes? And why are the magas still supporting this regime? (Neighbors have hung Trump/Vance 2028 signs here.)

Pat Robinson's avatar

I agree, a lot has to do with where I live...ultra maga land and that fact that mainstream media refuses to report on anything that might show Americans don't approve of the war because it's immoral. When I say mainstream media what I mean is the news feeds that show up when I open Yahoo to go to my mail...I haven't watched any news on TV for years and ended my subscription to the WaPo when they gave up the concept that Democracy dies in Darkness and went to lets be as mild as we can without angering trump. Something that has concerned me, and your comment gives me a wee bit of hope is that if responsible folks who could "see" the future and care about the environment said OK America, we are going to raise the price of gas to encourage you to switch to renewable energy and the money we get from the extra gas/fuel taxes will be split between rebates for renewable energy and rewilding all the natural area we have destroyed (well maybe not all, but millions of acres and creating big good green spaces in cities), Americans would rebel and say OH NO we just can't pay any more for gas...but based on your comments, maybe they would if it were for a good cause.

Susan Raquel's avatar

I live in a red county, voting definitely shows that. I really like the idea that you posted as to how to use the money from the raised prices to improve our lives. I seriously doubt that crimini (https://www.fastslang.com/crimini) cares one whit about improving anyone's lives.

patricia montague's avatar

Corporate gains from higher gas profits and will never share the wealth… we need a revolution.

Pat Robinson's avatar

Personally I'd like to see a revolution to renewable energy done in a way that current gas and oil companies could not profit from any of it.

Geri Cochran's avatar

Keep us poor and hungry, and we'll have no time or energy to protest. It's the easiest way to overturn a government, imo.

Pat Robinson's avatar

That works to a point but when folks have nothing to lose they are willing to fight. So keep us sort of poor and hungry but with enough credit available we can still live a contented life style. Of course that only goes so far too as once folks can't pay their credit card bills and default and they don't own anything for the banks to repossess/foreclose on.

Terry O’Reilly's avatar

Couldn’t agree more, Jen, but dare you to add a couple more adjectives 😎

Sharon B's avatar

Like narcissistic, misogynistic, greedy, corrupt, sadistic, cruel, draft dodging, lying pedophile POS…

One of the reasons that people are moving away from Trump is that the first image we see in a criminal war is the murder of girls in school. That says it all. Trump is anti girl and anti girls learning, and anti human rights. He should be tried in an international court for his actions. He is an international war criminal along with his friends Putin and Netanyahu.

I attended an anti Iran war rally in my city in Germany last week. Here is what I wrote. It is mostly pictures because it was too chilly to take notes on what people were saying.

https://lindaweide.substack.com/p/i-attended-an-anti-war-rally-in-bremen?r=f0qfn

It is a slice of what people in Germany are feeling, even if others are fine with the US being there.

Marsha's avatar

Do you support a

General strike, withholding our labor is our power.

Renee Goodman's avatar

Jennifer, beautifully worded!

Marsha's avatar

Trump is a fascist, in the most classical sense: white nationalism, disrespect of women, etc., and now his brain, never great, is actually going…

Geri Cochran's avatar

I asked the same during the felon's first term: when his regime kidnapped children from their parents' arms, at the southern border, to discourage immigration. That was here in this country...HERE in the good ol' USA. Where were people then? Where was their outrage, when Biden discovered there was no way to find the guardians of these children? And there are still children who have never been reunited with their family of origin. smdh

Marsha's avatar

Not to sound too rhetorical, Lump is a classic fascist, but with none of the flourish of educated men. He is crude, not to mention senile. But again I ask, when will Americans reach the limits of tolerance of destruction the USA as we knew it. already on a slippery track ….serious question.

Susan Gorman Gerke's avatar

This is a quote from Reuters;

Trump said on Saturday that U.S. strikes had "totally demolished" much of Kharg Island and warned of more, telling NBC News on Saturday, "We may hit it a few more times just for fun."

To DJT war is a video game. He must be impeached.

Linda Weide's avatar

It is clear that to Hegseth War is a video game, and Trump is more of the same. He is the Commander-in-Thief.

DJT does not know what his strikes have done because he does not have the surveillance on the ground. He follows up that he has totally destroyed Iran with that he needs help protecting ships from them. What explains his speaking out of both sides of his mouth is the book "1984" by Orwell. Trump uses "Doublethink" and he is surrounded by people using "Duckspeak" as I explain in a piece on how Orwell helps us to understand how fascist language works.

https://lindaweide.substack.com/p/the-language-of-the-fascist-regime?r=f0qfn

Susan Raquel's avatar

I don't know where this would fit into the definitions of how trump uses "Doublethink" but early on I noticed that he would talk about a subject in a positive manner and later in the same speech talk about it in a negative manner. Example would be he would say war is good and later on say war is bad.

What the purpose, or rather the ploy of this was that a listener had an opinion one way or another; but, would hone in or perhaps only hear what matched their own opinion. Thus, his speech would equally attract people with different beliefs.

Geri Cochran's avatar

Keeps his supporters off center so they have no time for critical thinking?

Susan Raquel's avatar

Good point. Keeps me off center trying to figure out what he is saying. One of the many reasons that I depend on Meidas to interpret what he says as my attention span, with trump, is very short.

I wonder how many people just "tune out" when he is speaking at his rallies?

MPT's avatar

Trump the dimwitted, dolt thought that China and Russia would help him! What an absolute fool. And then he expects once strong allies to put their own troops at risk to help the bloated, orange, clown stop a needless war the demented, deranged, deluded, dimwit started. The most incompetent man and admin trying to mange the most complex of issues equals a big fail.

Trump is also a traitor. Why aren’r trump, whitcoff and kushner being held accountable for helping Russia, who is helping Iran target US personnel, US bases, and US allies. Isn't that the definition of treason? Corporate media ignores this coddling of enemies as US military members die putin must have loads of kompromat on the criminal in thief trump… U.S. Constitution (Article III, Section 3), consists only of levying war against the United States or adhering to their enemies by giving them aid and comfort.

Linda Weide's avatar

Kushner and Witkoff should be tried for treason.

Pat Robinson's avatar

You know the answer to your question...the GOP loves trump and supports him no matter what. Nothing he could ever do would be an impeachable offense. Nothing.

MPT's avatar

The GOP maga cult will gladly go down on the trump Titanic.

Geri Cochran's avatar

Oh, they will take us with them...

MPT's avatar

Hopefully we are smart enough to jump on the lifeboats as they as they sink into the abyss cheering their bloated leader.

Geri Cochran's avatar

Nah, he never thought he'd need help. Afterall most leaders of countries he's had dealings with have bent the knee when he's threatened them. Iran, however, is a very different culture and it has survived centuries. smdh MAGAs and the US Supreme Court are naive to think Iran would bend the knee. Do elected people lose their critical thinking when they are elected? WTH is wrong with all of them?

MPT's avatar

Indeed. Although, if Americans wanted critical thinkers, they would not have elected GWB, and trump twice each. All I have to do is look at the mage congress critters and see that they are driven by stupidity, hate, racism and ignorance. To maga, critical thinking is a sin and stupidity is a badge of honor.

I am not surprised that T has made an incredible mess. He isn't capable of running a pig farm. His dementia has been evident for ages. The weak ,pathetic Republicans that keep bowing to this useless piece of dung ,will go down in history as Traitors. I am disgusted that they turn their back on the Constitution and the Oath they took, in favor of this man who is ruining our country.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

"He isn't capable of running a pig farm." You made me spit out my tea, Polly! 😂 I agree with you 100%, the Republicans are indeed traitors! Especially Lady Lindsey Graham!

Geri Cochran's avatar

They aren't republicans, they are MAGAs. There's as huge difference.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Yes indeed they are MAGAts! There's no longer a Republican party. It was hijacked and they're bought and paid for to kiss the ring of the orange rapist!

Nancy Richardson's avatar

We turn to you for straight facts reporting. Keep speaking truth to power and for not being afraid of speaking the truth. Meidas Touch is what our country and the world needs. Ben, you and your brothers do an amazing job of getting the truth out. Thank you!

James Wilson's avatar

Why this is not front page news for every other news outlet is insane. Could you imagine if Bush did this? The media would be outraged. But for Trump they are silent.

Geri Cochran's avatar

Well, I was outraged with the WMD lies; the waste of so many lives; and the millions/billions? that were spent in the Iraq war all because the government LIED to us. They lied deliberately, and repeated that lie just like the felon does now. :(

James Wilson's avatar

Completely agree with you. I was outraged too by all of that. I wanted each and every one of them held accountable. At least the media was more willing to speak up.

Alan Mikuni's avatar

Regarding the Trump rant about nationalizing elections: does that mean that local precinct managers and workers will become Federal employees? I can envision that tactic to be another attempt to stall or eliminate elections across all jurisdictions. The personnel management processes to hire and/or convert currently non-Federal staff are complex and time consuming and worth the attention of all of us concerned about the right to vote in 2026 and beyond.

Susan Raquel's avatar

TY for bringing that up. I hadn't thought about that ramification of nationalizing elections.

Mitch's avatar

It's not that it "can escalate further". It will definitely escalate further! I'll re-post my belated comment on yesterday's post:

"Let's do a little thought experiment. If Xi and Putin can deplete the US weapons supply and cripple the US economy without putting their own troops or economies at risk, wouldn't they be stupid to pass up such an opportunity? If all they have to do is help Iran prolong tRump's & Bibi's feckless fiasco, shouldn't they?

https://www.ms.now/news/iran-war-military-russia-china-foreign-minister "

Xi and Putin would be betraying their national interests if they don't take advantage of tRump's stupidity and over-extension of US resources. They're not stupid, and they will facilitate tRump destroying the USA ... until maybe, just maybe, Thiel persuades a few GOP Senators and Congress Reps that they can dump tRump and put Vance in office, and still achieve their evil Project 2025 Agenda

Mitch's avatar

I believe I'm not mistaken, and am open to being corrected, espec. on details, but:

When the Soviet Union got overextended in Afghanistan, Carter & the US funded Osama & the Taliban to further undermine the Soviet Union. We boycotted the Olympics over it. Sure: Reagan gets credit for meeting with Gorby and the Berlin Wall and Soviet Union falling. but US support was what did it. Democrats just don't know how to take credit, but also didn't want to admit the dirty role of the CIA & secret $$$

Putin is more than eager to get revenge

Mitch's avatar

tRump's & Bibi's & Hegseth's Operation EFFETE SLOB (Epic Feckless Fiasco Eroding The Economy - Stupid Lapdogs Opprobriously Berserk) will destroy the USA just like the USSR's Afghan fiasco destroyed the USSR.

Thank you for being straight with us! We will never hear the truth from corporate media or from the regime! Not that I watch corporate media anyway. I gave up on them during the presidential campaign in 2024, they sickened me then and more so now!
