No School No Work No Shopping Today has been designated as an economic boycott America’s middle class has seen enough of the attempted plutocratic takeover of our government and the day recognizes the economic power that has made this country great
WE the People are standing for democracy and boycotting the billionaires who take advantage of the working middle class in an effort to undermine our government while they try to control it for their advantage They have been given so much but it’s never enough It’s the never-ending theme of more and in this case “why not use this massive amount of wealth to control their economic destiny by corrupting the government
This is the French Revolution 2.0, American style with the working middle class, tired of the inflationary rise in the cost of living, making it harder to make ends meet on strained budgets, put a hand on the scale of economic justice to demand more of a Nazi government regime hell bent on suppressing Americans and their rights
As a retired Teamster, I know the importance of a strike. The admin doesn't take our actions seriously. They believe they can run us over because they possess the money. We will show them today & more importantly, in November.
We are with you. I grew up protesting Vietnam, Womens rights it's the only thing we can do right now. Until the elections...we have to take back the House and Senate. Then the Epstein class. Tired of this country taking advantage of the People.
I'm all on board with the May Day Protests and commend the workers or anyone who participating. Although the protests have an economic impact, IMHO they're not long enough to have an impact on the Epstein class. That would take days. And most people can't afford to risk taking that much time off.
Akron is participating. It was once the Rubber Capital of the World. Four out of five tires IN THE WORLD were made here. Sadly, production was outsourced and the big 3 closed their factories. Akron joined the shut-down steel plants to become part of the Rust Belt.
Polymer science is rejuvenating the region, but the benefits of union membership are long gone. My father in law worked 32 years as a tire builder and died of leukemia - likely caused by the chemicals he was exposed to. A union worker, he was able to have a solid middle-class life and send his sons to college.
We need unions. We need strong OSHA regulations. We need opportunities. We need a government where representatives aren’t bought & paid for by corporations looking to repeal health & safety regulations.
ALOHA. From the COCONUT WIRELESS. ..... BOOOOM. ........
..VOTING RIGHTS gutted and died at the age of 60....Sad bad day....to come...

G.O.P. guardians of pedophiliacs'...“Silence and fear is the tool of a tyrant, wielded to suppress independent thought. Instead of silence and fear, let this moment fuel the fire that already burns at the heart of this place. A fire of righteous indignation at abuses of power.
AMERICA is not TRUMP and Trump is not for AMERICA.!!!!!!
I'm all for the cause...less so for the tactic. A "boycott" of this sort is really a strike...a strike that might send a message but definitely hurts the people and businesses who participate in it. So many who might wish to cannot participate...and those who can probably can't do so for more than a single day. On the other hand, a targeted series of boycotts against big companies who treat their people poorly and/or engage in the plutocratic manipulations of our government would, far from hurting the participating boycotters, actually SAVE them money. If the million people who take to the streets today all cancelled their Amazon Prime memberships during the same week (than Paramount Plus the next week, Home Depot the one after that, etc., etc.) I believe it would have much more impact. Again, I'm down for the objectives of today's actions; I just think there's a more powerful way to pursue it.
Thanks for pointing that out and you are correct. I felt it was something I could do as I generally don’t buy from big box stores nor could I protest. It was important for me to support not only May Day but Law Day as well. The only thing I could think of 🤪
1.5 Trillion for defense- I don’t think so
It’s May Day: Time To Economically Protest

Join the protest in your town!
I closed my Etsy shop for the day in support. Best I could do!
Thank you! (Although I don't think the protest is against small businesses)

I have done all that already. It doesn't look like it has helped. No one really knows what to do. Some people don't even know how bad it is.

Fist bump!
AFL CIO households voting in 2024.
