SPEAKER 3
I'm joined by Georgia Senator John Ossoff. Senator, welcome to the Midas Touch podcast. Hey, people seemed pretty fired up at your first kickoff speech of the 2026 campaign season in Atlanta. What were you seeing out there? What's the reaction of the people right now?
0:17
SPEAKER 1
It was a great event. And we did not even do that much promotion. We had thousands of people come out. It just speaks to the energy that there is in opposition to this attack on the rule of law and our Constitution. And it was an opportunity for not just Democrats,
0:34
but folks across the spectrum in Georgia to speak out together against what this administration is doing to our country.

Jon Ossoff is Taking the Fight to Trump and MAGA

In an interview with MeidasTouch, the Georgia Senator pulls no punches in exposing Trump, Musk, and the authoritarian rot threatening our Constitution.

By Ben Meiselas

Hey everyone, it’s Ben Meiselas here, and I just had the pleasure of sitting down with Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff on the MeidasTouch Podcast for an electrifying conversation that’s got me fired up—and I know it’ll do the same for you. Ossoff came in swinging, naming names and calling out the rot at the heart of Donald Trump’s dangerous regime. And make no mistake: that’s what this is—a regime, not an administration.

Ossoff just kicked off his 2026 re-election campaign in Atlanta with thousands showing up with little promotion. That kind of grassroots energy doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It’s a direct response to the fascist creep of Trump 2.0, and people across the political spectrum in Georgia are waking up and saying, “Not on our watch.”

Senator Ossoff didn’t hold back. He laid out how Trump has purged the government of independent watchdogs, replaced them with personal loyalists, and unleashed them on his political enemies. He’s not just obsessed with revenge—he’s doing nothing for the American people while turning the government into a billionaire playground.

Speaking of billionaires, Ossoff went right at Elon Musk. He called out the fact that Musk—who spent $300 million to help Trump get elected—is now running the government like a tech startup gone mad. He’s slashing critical agencies, mishandling sensitive data, and literally getting people killed through reckless decisions like gutting Social Security offices and firing the people who staff veteran crisis hotlines. Even some MAGA voters are fed up with Musk’s wrecking-ball approach.

We need to spread our message far and wide. Listen to and share my interview with Senator Jon Ossoff on the MeidasTouch Podcast on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

We talked about Trump’s so-called cabinet—the richest in history—mocking everyday Americans. Like Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, who suggested that if someone calls to ask why their Social Security check didn’t arrive, they’re probably a “fraudster.” I don’t know what kind of dystopia these people live in, but I can tell you it’s not the same America our grandparents fought for.

Ossoff nailed it: this is corruption, incompetence, and elitism rolled into one. And while they pretend to be anti-elite populists, they’re giving tax cuts to billionaires, posting memes mocking the Department of Education (while misspelling "department"), and trying to eliminate it entirely. Meanwhile, real families in Georgia—especially parents of disabled students—are terrified.

He also called out Trump’s ongoing love affair with dictators. The way Trump constantly praises Putin while spreading Kremlin propaganda is more than disgusting—it’s dangerous. The rest of the free world is watching the U.S. cozy up to the very authoritarians we used to oppose. And with Trump now weaponizing the government against political enemies in ways we’ve never seen before, it’s not just foreign policy on the line—it’s our democracy itself.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get more absurd, we covered the latest breaking news: Trump’s national security team using group chats with emojis to discuss sensitive war plans. You can’t make this stuff up. As Ossoff said, it’s what happens when Fox News cosplayers get handed the nuclear codes.

Senator Ossoff closed with a powerful message. He’s the only Democratic senator up for re-election in a state that voted for Trump in 2024—but he’s confident. “I will win in 2026. In a landslide,” he said. He’s up against massive dark money and billionaire backing, but he’s ready—and he’s asking for help at electjon.com.

His message is clear: we must reject this un-American descent into authoritarianism. But we also have to confront the deeper corruption that gave rise to Trump—super PACs, dark money, and a broken political system that left people feeling hopeless. Trump didn’t fix the rigged system. He’s just trying to re-rig it for himself and his cronies.

We’re in a fight for the soul of this country, and Senator Ossoff isn’t backing down. Neither are we.

Our Psychological and Political Pandemic DR. BANDY X. LEE

🔸️Mental pathology in a president is a public matter. The more severe the mental pathology the less one will recognize that one is even ill.

🔸️Every other job that deals with life or death has a mental fitness evaluation as a requirement, even before one takes the position.

🔸️Without mental fitness evaluations, the public needs to know the danger of certified madness in politics. When dangerous mental pathologies are allowed to spread like a pandemic, an Extinction Level Event is headed straight for Earth. The U.S. could be a shining example of how to stop dangerous mental pathologies before they worm their way into politics but it is now left with "emergency cleanup on aisle madness'.

WTFishappening's avatar

Respectfully, this will lose the election for us. I voted for Kamala and I admire Bernie and AOC (since she has become a grown-up). Kamala and the party badly misread the moment— while I am more than disgusted and sickened by everything about Trump and longed for some positivity, I think that her laughter badly alienated the millions of Americans who are struggling to put food on the table. I think she is now just as toxic as Hillary, who I also voted for. She should stay out of national politics, maybe run for Gov of my state, CA, where I will vote for her. We need some tough new blood and Ossof may be the person, or maybe someone we don’t even know about yet.

Expand full comment
Susan Engelman's avatar

You won’t vote for Kamala because you don’t like her laugh???? Last time I heard anyone use that as a reason against voting for someone I was the adult advisor for our grade school Student Council!! And as an adult, ur not worried about donOLD’S multiple tariffs that are raising prices- that keep food off tables for children. and not get a school lunch, or buying a car to carpool kids to/fro school, so some pervert doesn’t abduct them!

Expand full comment
WTFishappening's avatar

Susan, I think you missed the point. I meant that Kamala’s laughter and general bearing were tone-deaf for the times. It looked to many people that she did not take them and their predicaments seriously or that she was an unserious person. That is not what a good politician does not do if they want to gain trust and votes. As for my relationship with laughter: I don’t like or trust anybody who does not have a major sense of humor. And to that point: look at what those humorless, self-righteous prigs did to Al Franken, costing us a great Senator over some silliness from many years ago when he did touch anybody. In the words of the great Howard Stern: “Everybody just calm down!”

Expand full comment
WTFishappening's avatar

Further to that point: I am as disgusted and horrified by what that sociopathic piece of shit does on a daily basis, aided and abetted by his psycho pal who does not care about anybody or anything other than self-glorification. I voted for Kamala because of her policies and basic decency. It didn’t work out I just want us to win.

Expand full comment
Vel Santic's avatar

Excuse me, WTFishappening, but your comment addressed at Susan is mostly senseless. I've read it several times and I still don't see what are you trying to say. I really don't know what is your problem with Kamala's laughter. Kamala was a great candidate who got robbed by tRumputinists&eVIlonmusk of her votes and thrown under the bus by Biden who like crazy chose to host tRumputin in his i.e. Biden's White House soon after the monstrous nov. 6th 2024 and was all about transferring the most powerful power on Earth to the criminal insurrectionist kgb-agent tRumputin when he knew he should NOT have done that!!

Like I said before ad nauseam, I LOVED President Biden - all until nov. 6th 2024 when he chose to force Kamala to concede too fast, to capsize his own self and became so quickly unrecognizable choosing to become tRumputin's tool - instead of fighting against him with his Presidential Powers the most. I don't see where is Kamala's fault in that, except for listening to the two crazy oldmen - Biden and tRumputin.

Well, my wife calls me “lame” all the time too but that does not make her right. I referred to Al Franken because some really stupid Dems (my party) chased him (and his vote) out of the Senate because of an (admittedly lame) joke that they did not like. He never hurt anybody. I quoted Howard Stern, another guy whose sense of humor is not to everyone’s liking, for the wise and astute saying that everybody just needs to calm down. Otherwise, we would not have lost Franken. This is called irony.

My point all along has been about the OPTICS of Kamala’s campaign. There are a lot of frustrated people out there and I think they may have felt she was dismissive of their concerns. Kinda like when Hillary did not go to Wisconsin in 2016. So, they fell for our own Hitler and his abominations. An important part of politics is to give a good look to as many potential voters as possible while remaining true to your principles.

For perspective, I was a major supporter of Kamala, I donated money, and my wife and I worked on her campaign. I am one of those “coastal elites” and until recently, I lived in the same LA neighborhood as Kamala. She is my kind of person and her light touch and warmth worked for me. However, I think that her demeanor was not good messaging to many voters.

Vel Santic's avatar

The only single reproach I have of Kamala Harris has been that she either missed to sufficiently enough, or the msm censored her i.e. refused to inform thereof when she did (assuming she did), include more white men esp. the white men under 60 y.o. in her speeches emphasizing that equality and equity are what really confident men of any race (white, black, mixed, Latino etc...) should be very comfortable with!! But, I guess, she counted that even more of white men under 60 y.o. were aware already thereof after a nearly decade of what evil tRumputin was and that additional, "egging-on" repetitions of what she thought was understood, could backfire.... I don't know, only she and Democratic Leadership know what was going on in their heads this last fall.

I really like this Guy. I AM CANADIAN FROM QUÉBEC. Thruth is important ex: Trump said: we needed nothing from Canada !@ Just for aluminium , précise infos : USA production is only 14% of their quantity they needed Québec send 60% of aluminium in USA follow their needed and the rest come ftom others country like Australia ... Mean the tarrifs increase pricing in USA for a lot of products and can not be a short transition. The reason ALUMINIUM from Québec is because electricity represent 40% of the cost of aluminum production and Québec have the lower cost électricity in the world with clean production. And for replace this production and built electric plant in USA it will take minimum 10 years with aluminium plant with workers spéciality educated same with this the aluminium at the end will cost lot more and USA will need invested trillions $$$ Conclusion with rares earth exclusif in Canada and China like tungsten and others ressources USA needed Canada they dont buy by charity or for help and subsodize. The relocation of Canadian automobile manufacturers to the United States in response to the tariffs that Donald Trump wants to impose would be extremely complex, costly, and unlikely for several reasons:

1. Prohibitive Relocation Costs

Moving an automobile plant involves massive investments. It’s not just about transporting equipment but also rebuilding facilities, re-establishing the supply chain, and hiring a new skilled workforce. The costs could reach several billion dollars per plant, with delays of 5 to 10 years to restore optimal production capacity.

2. Skilled Workforce and Expertise

Canada has a highly skilled automotive workforce, particularly in Ontario, with decades of experience. Moving this expertise to the United States would take years, and it would be difficult to train an American workforce to the same standards as the Canadian industry.

3. Energy Costs and Tax Incentives

Ontario benefits from abundant and affordable electricity due to hydroelectric power. In the United States, energy costs are generally higher, which would increase production costs. Additionally, Canadian provincial and federal governments offer tax incentives to support the automotive industry, which companies would lose if they relocated.

4. Logistical and Supply Chain Challenges

The automotive industry operates on an integrated supply chain model between Canada, the United States, and Mexico (CUSMA/USMCA agreement). Parts cross borders multiple times before vehicles are assembled. Moving production to the United States would disrupt this supply chain, increasing logistical costs and slowing down production.

5. Higher Costs for Consumers

Even if manufacturers attempted to relocate to avoid tariffs, production costs in the United States would be significantly higher, leading to a substantial increase in vehicle prices for American consumers. This could harm the competitiveness of both Canadian and American brands compared to foreign competitors.

6. More Viable Alternatives

Rather than relocating, Canadian manufacturers are more likely to negotiate exemptions or adjustments to the tariffs. They may also seek to increase the production of high-value vehicles to offset increased costs.

Conclusion

Canadian automobile manufacturers have neither the financial means nor the strategic incentive to move their operations to the United States, even if tariffs are imposed. They are more likely to pursue diplomatic or economic solutions to avoid a massive relocation.

Why would Canada even consider moving Canadian anything to USA that is invaded, hijacked, usurped by terrorist putin of russia through his agent orange krasnov??

Canada should only support the NONtRumputinist and ANTItRumputinist Americans and parts of USA that they hold but they i.e. ANTItRumputinist Americans must be relentlessly assertive in holding the Democratic parts (counties, cities, states...) of USA and cut off any ties with the "red" parts of USA. Of course that means - the entire tRumputin's everything from White House to Pentagon - must be liberated from tRumputin's and his cult's grip because Washington DC is the most Democratic Territory of USA!!

I'm saying this because she and her organizations really sound genuinely proactive to me because they know that the time is a luxury we don't have and the sooner and wiser we act against tRumputin-eVIlonmusk-jdvance-mikejohnson reign of terror, the better chances of delegitimizing them and disempowering them and restoring Democracy in America!!

The recent U.S. attack on Houthis revealed to the public a security breach of unparalleled proportions. The breach identified a rogue, unprincipled element of senior U.S. leadership. This group knowingly and unlawfully violated OPSEC rules and U.S. Espionage Act laws. The group discussed—on a commercial communications chat app—an imminent top secret aerial attack on an enemy in the Arabian Gulf.

The commercial app Signal’s chat communications by the law-breaking group extended across the U.S. and internationally. The group included one operative that was in Moscow where open communications are collected and analyzed.

The meeting was set up and attendees invited on the commercial Signal app by the NSA, our National Security Advisor Michael Waltz. The NSA is the most senior of our intelligence officers. This is not “setting an example”.

NSA Michael Waltz assumed "full responsibility" for the leaked Signal group chat of senior Trump officials. "I take full responsibility. I built the group," Waltz said on "The Ingraham Angle" Tuesday. "It's embarrassing. We're going to get to the bottom of it."

Get to the bottom of it? What is that supposed to mean? You more than hit rock bottom, you went 6 feet under. Government-owned phones are being issued by the Executive Branch with the commercial Signal chat app already installed on them. Each phone carrier knows the app eases stored data. This app’s erasure of data has the phone carrier guilty of violating the Presidential Records Act of 1978.

Secretary of Defense (SECDEF) Pete Hegseth, a participant in the group chat, has not yet hit rock bottom, but is aiming to exceed Waltz’s debacle depth record. Hegseth flat out denies the obvious breach by trying to wordsmith like a 5 year old. He denies “war plans” were given out. That is not the point. Classified information was disclosed.

After an initial round of air strikes on March 15, the SECDEF wrote in the chat that “CENTCOM was/is on point,” referring to the military’s Central Command, which was in charge of the operation. It is CENTCOM that would have set the SECRECY classification level for that attack. That is a record that no one has changed. It takes an “Authorized Declassifier” to change the assigned security level. The SECDEF had that unilateral authority as the OCA, but failed in his responsibility. He is not real bright. Amateur hour. Watch for them to change the official records.

Authority: The authority to declassify information rests with the Original Classification Authority (OCA) or their successor, or officials delegated declassification authority by the Secretary.

Executive Order 13526: This order outlines the procedures for classifying and declassifying national security information, and it's the primary legal basis for declassification.

"American Democracy is BLEEDING OUT BEFORE OUR EYES !!!!"

I've been and continue to be an active OSSOFF supporter since his initial run for Congress because he was willing to put himself in harms way filming a documentary about women who were captured by ISIS and held in brothels for ISIS soldiers. When resistance fighters broke them out these women (many of them young girls) formed the Yazidi Battalion that fought ferociously, scaring the hell out of the jihadists (they feared death at a woman's hands would block them from the afterlife).

Nazis have long been concerned about being silenced and not being able to express their conservative opinions So the diatribes go….being bullied, “thought police” But it’s not that they have been silenced it’s just that their opinions are often so outrageous that they are laughable eg Fox and Friends

So there is a Nazi attack on free speech If the Nazis don’t like what you say then it’s not free speech Complete HYPOCRISY

It’s not about free speech it’s about their protected speech….the Nazi free speech of propaganda

Networks should lose their FCC licenses Judges with differing opinions should be impeached Banning news organizations who don’t go along with the Nazi talking points Going after law firms that don’t favor the regime’s propaganda line Students with green cards who protest with differing opinions should be thrown out of the country because “they are agitators who don’t love our country” Universities should lose federal grant money if they dare speak out against the Nazi regime Take over the Kennedy Center for Continuing Arts to even control the art’s free speech and have only shows that are deemed “appropriate”

But billionaire/oligarchic Nazis protect social media such as X, Meta, and Tik Tok because it’s algorithmic, simply a machine that directs your attention It’s planned Nazi propaganda And it’s not free speech Billionaires are literally rewiring our thinking to solidify their power grab

This is what it looks like living in a dictatorship in the 21st century Fox channel is the only channel available and X will be the social media platform WAKE UP AMERICA

He says all the right things but his voting record speaks louder. He voted YES on some of Trump's worst cabinet picks and voted YES on Laken Riley with the Republicans. I'm a firm NO on Ossoff. Don't come here talking strong and then voting with Republicans.

It's extremely easy to look up any senator or representatives voting records online through the government site. It disturbed me greatly when he voted YES to some of Trump's cabinet confirmations enough to contact his office and complain. His vote of YES on Laken Riley really set me off on him permanently

Indeed, it’s how I’ve been feeling about John Fetterman, Brian Schatz, Chuck Schumer, etc..etc…

I like the most Rep. Al Green (D-TX).

all those 10 dinos who joined tRumputinists to censor Al Green, disgusted me.

Yet, in a two-party system that USA has, they say, that’s how it goes. Sad….

Agreed. I've spent a great deal of time speaking with Fettermans office as well, asking him to please stand up and start supporting his constituents and party.

And while Yes, things should work a certain way in a two party system, Republicans stopped playing by the rules years ago and it doesn't help the Democratic party, nor the American people to pretend the system is working and playing along. They need to stand strong, and stand together right now. It's the only way to reign this in.

Precisely so, my friend!!

I’ve been a Democratic Activist for most of my life exactly in western Pennsylvania. But from Democratic politicians and lots of base I’ve too often encountered a lethargy, complacency, apathy….. very frustrating.
