FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 21, 2025

LOS ANGELES, CA — MeidasTouch, the nation’s top independent pro-democracy media network, is proud to announce that attorney and renowned legal analyst Katie Phang has launched a brand-new YouTube channel in partnership with MeidasTouch.

Phang, the former host of The Katie Phang Show on MSNBC and a respected voice in both law and media, announced her partnership with MeidasTouch during the final episode of her MSNBC program. In her closing remarks, Phang shared her plans to continue holding power accountable and defending democracy with platforms that reflect her values:

“And now that my time here at MSNBC comes to a close, I am taking that fight back to a familiar place… I hope you'll follow along with me as I continue to meet you where you are at places like Substack and YouTube with fellow truth tellers like MeidasTouch.”

This partnership marks an exciting new chapter for both Phang and MeidasTouch as they expand their efforts to build a powerhouse platform for independent, hard-hitting journalism and analysis—at a time when it is needed more than ever.

In addition to the YouTube channel, Phang has launched her own Substack, where she will provide regular updates and expert commentary on legal and political developments. Her Substack can be found at katiephang.substack.com.

“We are beyond thrilled to welcome Katie Phang to the MeidasTouch Network,” said Ben Meiselas, co-founder of MeidasTouch. “Katie’s unparalleled expertise in law and her fearless commitment to the truth make her the perfect addition to our growing team of independent voices. Together, we will continue to challenge authoritarianism, expose corruption, and fight for democracy.”

Phang’s new YouTube channel will feature incisive legal analysis, in-depth interviews, and no-nonsense commentary on the most pressing political and legal issues of the day—all free from corporate media influence. This partnership reflects MeidasTouch’s ongoing mission to build a pro-democracy media infrastructure that meets audiences where they are and provides content that informs, inspires, and empowers.
