Noem lied? If she,or any of the regime actually told the truth, the earth would crack in half

Kim Nesvig's avatar

Honestly, I would only be surprised if Noem accidentally told the truth.

It Appears That Alternative Strategies To Achieve That Result Are Under Consideration

Trump said on Thursday [30-Oct-2025] that the U.S. would begin testing nuclear weapons again for the first time in decades. ... The Nevada National Security Site, approximately 60 miles northwest of Las Vegas, is currently the only place where America could test a nuclear weapon. ... Although underground testing is far safer than atmospheric testing, it still carries risks. … In the past, some radioactive fallout has leaked from test shafts. [The] test could shake buildings as far away as Las Vegas, and … some of the newer buildings in Vegas could even be at risk of damage. “All of these big highrises — including Stratosphere, including the Trump Hotel.” … “They’re not designed for massive, significant seismic activity.”

Source: Trump says he wants to resume nuclear testing. Here’s what that would mean, Oregon Public Broadcasting, 30-Oct-2025 https://tinyurl.com/398n7xbz

I believe one of the perks of having a job in the Trump administration is the ability to lie with impunity.

Susanna J. Sturgis's avatar

Along with being totally unqualified for the job

MiddleChild's avatar

Right! Where can I apply? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Christina Keenan's avatar

Actually, I think it's a requirement.

Susanna J. Sturgis's avatar

To be (sorta) fair -- how can they tell the truth if they don't know what it is?

MiddleChild's avatar

You've made a really valid point. There is so much spin-doctoring going on that I don't take anything that main stream media reports at face value anymore. I want verification from more than one credible source.

C Giza's avatar

That is because you have the will to know the truth.

Geoff Boyarsky's avatar

Even the heckling exorcist couldn’t get her to tell the truth. Apparently, the power of Christ doesn’t compel her very much.

AnneHG's avatar

Noem and the rest are rotten to the core. I am grateful to the representatives for their tenacious and direct questioning. I'd sure like to see the press do the same.

NoApologies!'s avatar

When is she going to be locked up? It's long overdue!

Meisha848897's avatar

She has been caught lying several times they just keep letting her keep Doing her dirty deeds against our veterans and families ripping them from their homes taking children from their family's,This whole Administration needs to be STOPPED!!!!

Carla's avatar

Well, our twice- elected (p)Resident lies constantly. Journalists counted his lies in his first term- it was in the thousands, if I recall. Plus of course, his BIG LIE, of not being the LOSER of the 2020 election, followed by his repeated lies about not having all those classified documents, and then lying that he had given them ALL back. (Then after the FBI raid, finding SO MANY(!) lied that he had “declassified them in his mind.” He was found liable for defamation (twice) for lying that he didn’t assault a woman in a NYC department store. After he was fined, he immediately repeated the lie, resulting in a second fine. (Neither of which he has paid.)

And THEN, AFTER all that, he was reelected.

And yet we wonder how Kristy Noem can keep getting away with lying??

They reelected the liar in Chief- so who would expect this pack of unqualified sycophants to tell the truth?

When ever she says “We’re deporting the worst of the criminals, the murderers, the rapists…” I want to choke her. Especially because the FAUX-News watchers haven’t ever heard the truth, not from FOX, and they will believe her lies at face value. As they do.

(The lies of Karoline Leavitt are, perhaps, forgiven, because she was hired to lie to the public in those press conferences- that’s clearly her job description.…. I wonder when, or if, DonnieConvict’s coarse public drooling over her “beautiful lips” will drive her over the edge? It’s just so unfair- how would Donnie like it if the 60-some-year-old Mr. Leavitt made lascivious public comments about Ivanka?… Oh, or even about Melania.)

Robyn E's avatar

Have you forgotten about Trump's interviews with Howard Stern from the early 2000s? Check CNN's website to see what he said about his teenage daughter.

Susan Raquel's avatar

You beat me to it. Besides that he didn't care that Melania's naked pictures were published. trump would probably be pleased if some old fart made public comments about his wife.

I have noticed that since Jimmy Kimmel told trump to keep his wife's name out of his mouth that trump hasn't said anything else about her.

Robyn E's avatar

Oh yeah. I forgot about Melania's pictures. Which Russian media broadcast whenever Trump publicly says something that Putin doesn't like. Lol.

Christina Keenan's avatar

Actually, she was hired to update the public on what is going on in the White House and honestly field reporters' questiions.

Stand back, Stand by's avatar

But honesty, integrity, actual patriotism does not compute in this administration.

Wayne RN's avatar

So sad that her only strategy to defend herself is to talk over the person asking the question, immediately followed by her asking them to repeat the question.

Pathetic.

Carla's avatar

New strategy today: leaving early. She has to wash her cat, it sounds like. (Because she can’t be washing the dog…)

WJB Motown's avatar

She was at the shooting range with her AR-15, blasting at pictures of dogs and any living thing with 4 legs.

Debbie E's avatar

She was late to her botox appointment

Camille Kelly's avatar

There should be a phrase or slogan the dems use every time a republican does that, either overtalks, deflects or changes the topic.

Something catchy and attention grabbing.

"Redirect your attention to the question I asked that you haven't answered."

"No sidetracking to avoid answering my questions."

Loud, forceful and the same catchy line so it's heard loud and clear each time they do it.

I'm sure all you attorneys out there can think of something really memorable and effective.

Susanna J. Sturgis's avatar

The classic question from Army attorney Joseph Welch during the Army-McCarthy hearings would do: "At long last, [Mr./Ms. So-and-So], have you left no sense of decency?" Or integrity, or understanding of the issue -- whatever.

bLUEduRham's avatar

Bondi dies this, too, doesn’t she?

Jean F Connell's avatar

Thanks so very much Ben, listening to anyone in this regime makes me sick in my heart. They all need to be in prison. Asap!

Peggy Hendrickson's avatar

Noem is pure evil. No morals, empathy, compassion or intelligence. I’d be happy to not have to see that frightening face in the news anymore.

JohnC-Va's avatar

You said it, Peggy, and equally so. Not a single one of them is worse than the rest. Each and every one of them really, really, really sucks and they’re all at the absolute bottom of the barrel. The worst of the worst, except for one. The stinking POS who brought them all together.

Susanna J. Sturgis's avatar

Sorry, Noem's ignorance is far too common to be called "pure evil." Let's reserve "pure evil" for the likes of Hitler and, say, Stephen Miller. And, while we're at it, several hedge-fund managers, insurance CEOs, and the likes of Jeff Bezos.

Michael White's avatar

why is she not guilty of Contempt of congress? she should be incarcerated pending judgement

dede's avatar

That is exactly my question ..!!! Lock her up! Like she said, "no one is above the law!!"

Tina's avatar

They all will when the Dems take control of the House and Senate. Noem, Hegseth, Bondi, Patel, etc. They all lied under oath. They are not covered under Presidential Immunity.

Wayne RN's avatar

Sorry I’d really like to stay ,

but I have an appointment to get my hair extensions spruced up.

You know how hard it is to get in right before Xmas.

Barbara Clary's avatar

Then she had to decide which plane to take that WE paid for!

Susan Raquel's avatar

That might take a while since she has to find an engine for it first.

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house…

Not a creature was stirring, because:

- the parents were hiding from ICE

- the children were hiding from all the pardoned child predators

...and there weren’t any toys under the tree because daddy lost his job and they’re more expensive due to tariffs, except for the two pencils.

Debsenor's avatar

This makes my blood boil . Imprison this woman now

Nancy Richardson's avatar

This evil regime needs to go now! Impeachment looks better and better.

Ben, thank you for always speaking truth to power and having the receipts to back it all up. You do a terrific job,

"The Democratic bill to extend Affordable Care Act subsidies for three years failed to reach 60 votes in the Senate — only four GOP senators supported it."

The R are acting as if they don't have anything to worry about, especially WRT re-election. Do they know something we don't?

I've been hearing about the plan to make visitors to the US first show/release the last 5 years of their social media activity. Is this a policy already? How would it possibly be implemented? And wouldn't it kill the already-struggling US tourism industry?

Celia Ludi's avatar

Yes, please more coverage of this. Which countries? What's the protocol: everyone, some people, which people (we can guess), what are they looking for, what will they do if they find it... many many many questions.

I also wonder about the mechanics: how will CBP review and evaluate the information, and, as important, what will they do with the data once they have it. Given the complete integration of various tech bros' companies - Musk, Thiel, etc - into the US government now, I have to think that they will get their hands on whatever data CBP/the US collects. Those companies are true "globalists" and the EU in particular has much stronger rules about how they can operate than the US does. I imagine they would love to get their tentacles on info they otherwise wouldn't have access to.

Stand back, Stand by's avatar

Algorithms by Musk, who will surely plug in brown & black ppl from SA, brown & black ppl from elsewhere in the world, ppl earning less than ?, ppl who dared to travel to countries verbotem by the USA (a readily changeable factor,) ppl who of course exercised 1A rights but only after ppl have expended non-refundable additional fees for this electronic interrogation, entry taxes and travel duty will they be denied entrance.

Judith Swink (CA)'s avatar

Robert Hubbell addressed this in today's Today's Edition, based on the NY Times article about it.

"As Trump is trying to gaslight American consumers about inflation, he is doing his best to dissuade tourists from visiting America. Trump is demanding that foreign tourists seeking a standard visa waiver to visit the US for 90 days or less provide five years of social media history and intrusive data about family members. See NYTimes, U.S. Plans to Scrutinize 5 Years of Social Media History for Foreign Tourists. (Behind paywall.)

Per the Times,

The change would affect visitors eligible for the visa waiver program, which allows people from 42 countries to travel to the United States for up to 90 days without a visa as long as they first obtain electronic travel authorization.

In a document filed on Tuesday in the Federal Register, C.B.P. said it plans to require applicants to provide a long list of personal data including social media, email addresses from the last decade, and the names, birth dates, places of residence and birthplaces of parents, spouses, siblings and children.

Europeans are increasingly privacy-conscious and have enacted strong protections against the collection and recording of personal data. They will hate Trump’s new data collection efforts.

Tourism to the US has declined over the last nine months under Trump’s anti-immigrant policies, tariffs, and xenophobia. See The Independent, US is the only country facing tourism decline as Trump policies to cost $29 billion in visitor revenue." https://roberthubbell.substack.com/p/trump-dazed-and-confused-as-the-people?r=712xe

Barbara Clary's avatar

Yep! America only! Isolate and control.

Celia Ludi's avatar

Exactly. Everything they are starting with "immigrants" will be turned on citizens and residents.

Pat Robinson's avatar

So did all the Republicans in the hearing (if there actually were any since the last thing they care about is the truth) applaud when she was caught in obvious lies since lying has now become the most admired trait in the GOP (maybe next to being a pedophile). Anyway, it's great that there is now official records of her lying and the horrible abuse the GOP supports.
