Good news for Stephen Colbert this morning. Kerry Kennedy has announced that he will be honored as the 2025 recipient of the RFK Human Rights Award, for his courage in speaking truth to power.

Maybe both he (and Kimmel) also deserve a Medal of Freedom! (Of course we know that won’t happen under DJT. He prefers Limbaugh and Kirk.)

You forgot Giuliani

Merry's avatar

😂 actually I almost added him to the short list, but for some odd reason, I didn’t. He’s such a tragic figure. But I’ll never stop seeing, in my mind’s eye, the various videos of Giuliani in drag, particularly those of trump in a departure store, sniffing Giuliani neck…

That’s irony!

I’ll bet Homan was a dirty cop, too.

Betsy's avatar

Wonder if anyone has deep dive background info on him. I really doubt this is a spontaneous event for him!!

Merry's avatar

Well, we do know that Homan is a willing participant. And apparently there’s a longterm pattern that emerges -

“patterns exist when police officers take bribes, manifesting as a maturational process for the individual officer, the gradual acceptance of minor misconduct, the formation of a department's corrupt culture, and specific exchange types like regular payoffs from organized crime or one-time payments for leniency. These patterns are often encouraged by a "conspiracy of silence" and a sense of group loyalty within the police force, leading to a cycle of increasing corruption and lack of accountability.”

And we also know that in the trump administrations, there’s been a clear lack of accountability. In fact Trump has his own long and well-documented history of “quid pro quo”, from many sources, who knew about trump’s pattern in business dealings and who he associated with.

“Energy industry: In 2024, U.S. Senate panels opened a probe into a potential quid pro quo between Trump and oil and gas industry executives. The investigation focuses on a meeting where Trump allegedly asked for $1 billion in campaign contributions in exchange for lifting environmental regulations and restrictions if he returned to office.

Trump University: In 2016, Trump agreed to a $25 million settlement to resolve fraud lawsuits against Trump University. Students claimed the program had defrauded them with false promises of a world-class real estate education.

“Licensing deals: Reports have detailed Trump's use of lucrative licensing deals, where he profited by lending his name to international real estate projects, with minimal personal risk. Some of these deals, such as the Trump Ocean Club in Panama, were reportedly associated with dubious or criminal characters and funded by illicit means.

“Organized crime connections: Federal investigations and journalistic reports have documented Trump's business dealings with individuals connected to organized crime in New York and Atlantic City, where the mob had influence over construction trades.

Examples include:

Concrete industry: He used a concrete company allegedly controlled by mob figures for the construction of Trump Tower, even when an alternative material was available.

Business associates: He partnered with figures linked to organized crime, including an individual with ties to the Colombo crime family for a limousine company and another connected to the Genovese crime family for a drywall business.”

Then there’s the infamous QPQ he tried with Zelenskyy which got him impeached.

And of course, his lifelong mentor, Roy Cohn, was a well-known attorney for mobsters. So…the environment is extremely ripe for bribery in Trump’s world.

Why would the FBI do a sting operation on Homan if there wasn't past suspicious activity?

Toni Sammons's avatar

Not the slightest doubt.

He was a Thug then and is still a Thug. How anyone woman would be in a relationship with a creature like him is beyond believable.

He, also, inspired the movie Schrek; paint him green and move his ears.

Self-Evident Truths

1) A $50,000 bag of money given bribe and filmed

is fair evidence of a crime. Therefore Kash Patel and Pam Bondi obstruct justice. That is a crime even here in Alabama.

2) The FY2026 BUDGET is the primary responsibility of the Republicans in Congress and the President.

3) When a sniper targets and shoots 3 immigrants, it is an immigrant shooting (not an attack on ICE). That is until sound evidence proves otherwise. Immigrants are just as much “Anti-ICE” as we are. I do not see actions that point to shooting at ICE agents.

4) Every Republican in the Senate voted against releasing the Epstein files. EVERY.REPUBLICAN. SENATOR.VOTED.NO. The question is “Why would they do that?” Answer that question for me, please.

5) The contrived distraction that’s the crime of bombing boats on the high seas makes those Republican senators complicit in murder. They could have stopped all of this.

"Never again will the immense power of the state be weaponized to persecute political opponents." Our Hitler wannabe made that promise in his January 2025 inaugural speech. Clearly, he began his current disastrous stint in the White House exactly like he ended his previous four years -- BY LYING.

How do we deal with a highly partisan SCOTUS? They are a disgusting group and certainly aren’t acting in the interests of the people, or making it clear why the law supports their ruling.

Show the video of HOMER. oops you know who. then superimpose Trump taking a briefcase with $2 million in cash from a Russian oligarch for a condo in his TOWER. Caption: They both took in money that wasn't reported. Didn't Capone die in Prison for this? Maybe it's the size of the cash that keeps you out of jail. If you get $2 million you can bribe a lot of agents. (oops you already did that when Rudy was going after you. You hired the agent that knew you had committed fraud and made him head of your security for more money than he made under RUDY. Boy you know the law. didn't go into army with fake medical; but was able to rape a child and then threaten her life and her family's if she ever told. And 20 years later you threatened her again. My my, the $50,000 to HOMER is chump change in your league. If you steal, steal biggly. Oh the pump and dump scheme with Tylenol. Nice try. Caught you. Didn't think others would say 'tylenol doesn't cause Autism' But you'll try again. You still can't get over how much your family and friends made on the KODAK scheme.

Phil De Luca's avatar

WAKE UP people. the only reason he is screaming DON"T BUY TYLENOL is that he and his family and friends went short between $24 and $20. Look at the volume on September 5th. Are you blind. Remember he was the KING of PUMP and DUMP in the 1990s. Look it up. Now someone like Lutnick explains: If you want to make money on the SHORT side, you BUY massive amounts of puts when stock is $24 and start shorting stock; then do more when stock is $20 and buy more puts. Then you can announce that Tylenol causes CANCER or BLINDNESS or ED or hey here's a good one- say that TYLENOL causes AUTISM in children. YELL on TV - women do NOT TAKE TYLENOL. I'd guess stock would drop to maybe $16 or lower. Let's see at $16 you'd be up $500 million. Hey boss you' be half way to your goal of making $1 billion a month. 'Thanks Howard, I was only used to announcing I was going to buy a company after I bought millions of shares for pennies and then after my announcement I'd sell the stock to those dumb MAGAs for $dollars. I made $10 million in those past pump and dump schemes until the DEMs got smart and faded what I was doing. BELIEVE me I was the TRUE Wolf of Wall Street while I was also the FOX at Epstein's. So thanks Howard on how to do the SHORT side.

Trump appointing his own defense lawyer to indict Comey is like hiring your divorce attorney to officiate the wedding. Comedian Takes On Hypocrisy

Comedian John Fugelsang was on Comedy Central interviewed by Jordan Klepper (https://bit.ly/42LNWsg) talking about his best selling book Separation of Church and Hate: A Sane Person's Guide to Taking Back the Bible from Fundamentalists, Fascists, and Flock-Fleecing Frauds It’s a great short interview about the book that displays the consistent hypocrisy that the far right and the current Nazi regime exhibits every day and twice on Sunday

It's fun but also lays out the selfish hypocritical interpretation of the fascist Christian Nationalist Movement(CMN) that their interpretation is for political purposes not a spiritual one Orban rode this pony to power in Hungary and Hitler in Germany As Der Fuhrer said “We tolerate no one in our ranks who attacks the ideas of Christianity. Our movement is Christian.” Adolph Hitler 1928
