Michael Popok and Karen Friedman Agnifilo join forces once again on the Legal AF podcast to debate the prospects of a new federal lawsuit accusing the Trump administration of—what else—a violation of the Federal Records Act, this time for conducting a “Signal group chat” about war plans. The case has been assigned to none other than Trump’s least favorite judge, Chief Judge Boasberg (!). They also provide an update on the Alien Enemies Act case, in which both a trial judge and now a federal appeals court have blocked Trump from using a bogus “war proclamation” to invoke war powers and deport people in the middle of the night without due process. Plus, a look at how soon Attorneys General could sue the Trump administration this week to stop its assault on voting rights and its attempt to erect new barriers to voting through phony “ID” laws enacted by Executive Orders—and so much more at the intersection of law and politics.

I've been reading a book of Hitler's speeches, *My New Order*, as a way to prepare myself. Many things he did/supported are being reflected in our current situation, including the idea that the strongest should be able to whatever they want, that a country can only thrive through expansion, and a great many more. While I am still angry and disgusted by what's happening, I am no longer surprised.

Described perfectly, This is exactly how The Nazis grabbed hold and people did not fight as we do. Little Mike Johnson, who just needs to watch his son’s porn as a form of parenting, is salivating at getting rid of judges. He’s delusional. Fuck the Nazis back then and now. We fight against fascism. The sick part is that people around me are totally oblivious and have the Mental Disorder that precludes them from hearing literally ANYTHING having to do with this crazy shit happening to us.

The critical thinking is dead and they don’t want to know what’s going on. People who studied history! And most of my uneducated family. They stopped learning a long time ago and are content to never feel uncomfortable. This isn’t the time to not give a shit about Nazi propaganda and Russian influence. So much bad shit going on out there.. we fight back hard and together we succeed.💙

Watch other things like MEIDASTOUCH Legal AF on YouTube. Popok talks about all the law suits the Trump regime loses. I mean he’d say if they’ve won. It like 20 so far. It really helps to understand how they are just losers trying everything to take over and they fail every time. We have the court and us.. that is more.

Right now, because musk is so hated by lots of people who voted for trump, Seems the Rs are terrified that they are going to lose 2 FL elections next Tuesday, so scared that trump asked NY congresswoman Stefanik to drop out of being confirmed as UN Ambassador. So who knows what might happen. Is musk hated enough that people vote D instead of MAGA next Tuesday. I guess we will find out

Right and Trump can’t unseat them , unseating a federal judge requires a 2/3 vote in the Senate, after the judge has been impeached in the house, and Trump doesn’t have those fucking votes in the Senate to do it

The Judiciary needs to deputize veterans & ex-police that are truly 'patriots' as a 'Judicial Police Force' for their protection as well as to hold up their orders. If they make any charges (state charges) then there can be no pardon. Federal charges can be pardoned/ commuted.

It is so sad that I am grateful for this mistake. But if a responsible journalist wasn't "accidentally" added to this chat, set up by Mike Waltz, then we would have still been in the dark that our National Security and top officials are using Signal. These and other conversations that will not and cannot be properly archived. Any rank and file employee would be fired and more for this. The fact that the top cabinet members aren't and are now allowing Elon Musk to review things to "find out answers." Sure, give DOGE access to every piece of sensitive material.

Apparently I have to pay to say something to Ben and I would IF I wasn't paying off a debt of a Disabled vet that passed away. ON the point of the Trump group chat we are missing the WHOLE Point Trump had to issue the secret order to attack Yemen, he did this to aggravate Yemen into what would look like they were starting a war with us. He has always wanted the right to kill people just like Putin, Xi and Un, and he would be able to PUSH the red button, He didn't ask congress for their permission to start a war, He wanted it to look like Yemen did. and he has no qualm is sacrificing his own crew to get what he wants. a much lower point, Government waste Ben we need a running account of how much Trump spends playing golf. Every time Air Force one lifts off it cost the tax payer $300,000, that 1,200,000 a week as far as I can figure out with two round trips to Mara Lago, not to mention two complete security teams, which he charges the country for their food and lodging. How many discharge DAV's or Social Security personal, would be saved with his waste

The Trump cabal apparently pores over old laws and twists them to accomplish acts that clearly violate other laws intended to prevent tyranny and despotism. Relying on a war, when there is none, using digital "disappearing ink," suing law firms for their choice of clients, using tax payers' money to pay off convicted criminals. I wonder if they could use that creativity and energy to lower egg, grocery, and home prices as Trump promised in his campaign.

The Proclamation was done an hour before the hearing was set. At 9:40 am the Judge issued a temporary restraining order preventing the government from deporting the 5 plaintiffs. 5 pm is when the hearing starts, Judge Boasberg asks the gov't lawyer if the government plans to deport anyone under Trump's new proclamation "in the next 24 to 48 hours" and the lawyer said he didn't know and would need a recess to find out and the Judge allows 40 minutes, until 5:22 pm. At 5:26 pm and 5:45 pm two of the planes with deportees depart from Texas.

The court reconvenes at 5:55 pm, Ensign states he still cannot answer the Judge's question. The ACLU warns that planes are leaving. At 6:45 pm Judge Boasberg issues his order and tells Ensign "Inform your clients of this immediately. And that any plane containing these folks that is going to take off or is in the air needs to be returned to the United States."

7:26 pm Boasberg's written order released. Planes start landing in El Salvador around 7:36 pm until 1:03 am. At 7:46 am the next morning, the president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, tweets mocking the Headline about Boasberg's ruling. Stating "Oopsiee...too late" and at 8:13 am posts videos of the deportees being processed and incarcerated. 8:39 Marco Rubio shares Bukele's post, 9:29 am the White House Communications Director recirculates Bukele's posts.

Then you have the entire issue of Trump stating he didn't know who signed the proclamation of the Alien Enemies Act. Either he forgot he signed it or someone forged his name on the document, or he is admitting he is not the one in charge (a puppet). All options are terrible.
