They are sure giving Smith a hard time. Man they are good at spin.

Good for Smith and is group of lawyers to hold their own. The truth will win for him.

Shannon Starks's avatar

I’m getting better at recognizing this type of sociopathology by the look in the eyes and the tone of voice. They are good at spin because that’s all they do.

Mike Hammer's avatar

It’s hard to watch the Republican clown show trying to get a rise out of Smith, knowing full well that each one of them is a traitor a seditionist an insurrectionist. We’ve become a country of two different truths and this November is a zero sum game, winning is all that matters.

Donald Green's avatar

Boy, you’ve got that right.

Legislator Brandon Gill from Texas is not intelligent and that came across on TV!😂

Sue's avatar

Not too many of them have any degree of intelligence.

IT IS NO SECRET,

Little Gymmie Jordan FLUNKED out of law school 🙀🥳

Too busy with pedophilia.

Protecting pedophiles has become part of his job description😎

Here in Ohio we have Max Miller that thinks Ohioans should give tax breaks to gamblers! Of course he is a Republican that apparently must have the interests of people that lost money on betting.

Here’s a sure bet! The GOP is going down in the upcoming elections!!!

"The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is increasing the federal tax reporting threshold for slot machine winnings from $1,200 to $2,000, effective January 1, 2026. The update applies to Form W-2G, which casinos issue for reportable gambling winnings."

https://casinobeats.com/2025/12/19/irs-slot-jackpot-reporting-threshold-2000/

Apparently this was covered in the BBB.

Lyn M's avatar

I suggest you read the full article. So Ohioans should pay for gamblers’ losses? Who is he serving?

Article written by Chis Quinn, editor:President of Cleveland.com

Shouldn’t Ohioans get reimbursed for the high costs of energy bills or the food prices we are paying now?

Susan Raquel's avatar

Maybe Ohio is different than CA re gambling jackpots and losses. I don't understand why he would be introducing something that is already in existence.

I didn't see anything in the link you posted about the gambling issue.

In Ohio, we have an energy company insisting people have electronic meters. Tonight an Ohioan stated if he doesn’t agree, the energy company will bill him $28.00 a month. That’s a lot of money for what exactly?

We have an electric company that scammed Ohioans( read the history) several people went to jail, one committed suicide and Ohioans are still waiting for refunds.

Our newly elected Senator was involved in trying to screw his employees out of overtime pay. This same Senator pushed credits for car dealerships ( of course) but people no longer get tax benefits on the electric cars.

He sold foreign luxury cars at his dealerships (how are the tariffs working out?) who are they really benefiting?

When you elect a representative you believe they will do what the constituents need, not what benefits them the most! These newly elected representatives avoided town halls. They sent form letters when Constituents repeatedly asked questions.

How can anyone trust the pattern they have demonstrated in one year that clearly suggests they don’t have the constituents backs!

RJ Rentals's avatar

Show me an intelligent MAGA, and I’ll show you a traitor to the Constitution and to Americans.

Vergogna's avatar

What is an intelligent MAGA? Intelligent people don't fall for Cults.

DemocraticrepublicNOW!'s avatar

OMG we should make t-shirts!

Diane J's avatar

There are no intelligent MAGA or they wouldn't be MAGA but that doesn't make them any less traitors to both America and our Constitution.

What infuriates me regarding this hearing is the same old "spin" tactics/strategy that every Republican uses when this administration is called out regarding their lawlessness. Every Republican asks a question, they immediately interrupt Smith before he can answer and then they answer their own question with a REDICULOUS spin on the information in order to promote this administrations agenda. It is DISGUSTING! They do this in EVERY hearing and in every media interview when the information/truth is not going their way. They holler and then talk over the person being questioned or the person interviewing. How do people vote for these morons?

As of 2023, Jordan, who has served in the House of Representatives for over 16 years, has never sponsored a bill that later became law. It’s what legislators are suppose to do-16 yrs. He never passed the bar after graduating from law school. He was held responsible according to the wrestlers he supervised for not reporting sex abuse of them by a now deceased doctor. His district is heavily gerrymandered in Ohio. Now you can see exactly why he’s returned to Congress every 2 yrs. Name recognition-that’s about it. It’s called dead wood

Ida N. Zecco's avatar

Jordan is a sham. He is an embarrassment. However, what does that say about the people who allow him to stay in office? Gerrymandering or not. I honestly belive that anyone who voted for these clowns have no moral compass or understanding of the Constitutional laws of this country.

WJB Motown's avatar

Is Jordon another reason why Grindr always crashes when the Pedo-party has a cum-vention.

DemocraticrepublicNOW!'s avatar

Believe me, from the heart, it is frustrating. This is why I am so Pro education. As educated as people are in many of the blue cities in the state of Ohio, and some red...., it's still got a lot of farmland and Wide Open Spaces that are very easily gerrymandered . And it's highly red once you get into the world areas . No schools lots of farms and a few retirees . Mostly red . But , the gerrymandering is rampant . It's very time consuming for those who fight against it and you are correct. Name recognition, and for a lot of the Dems it's about nepotism. Which again, it's also name recognition as you stated.

Wendy miller's avatar

Agreed, makes one want to shove cotton in their mouths to shut them up.

DemocraticrepublicNOW!'s avatar

Then they would just pretend they were Don Corleone in the mob boss movie, Godfather.

LK WOODRUFF's avatar

Bunch of absolute 'tards. Who votes these clowns into ofc & keeps them there????? Do their voters think this is NORMAL?? PROFESSIONAL?? HELPFUL?? MATURE?? They sb ashamed of themselves!

RJ Rentals's avatar

They’re all going to the same Hell specially created for devils who pretend to be christians. Charlatans and Traitors. Founding fathers would have had them summarily hung. Not well hung, just fricken Hung!

Alison's avatar

I've often wondered if republicans have to take an intensive course on prevarication before they take office. I know they have to promise to follow the party line- our local assemblyman told us that in a community meeting. It was the reason he switched to the Democratic party.

Sue@bongiovi.org's avatar

Exactly They have the same values no doubt

Gill is strident in hopes of upsetting Smith. Smith is unflappable and straightforward.

RJ Rentals's avatar

Smith should g be e president, not a geriatric dementia slick of Orange slime. Morons are running America— it’s a clown show without the little cars!

Jim Jordan’s indignace towards Smith makes me want to hurlll!! I cannot listen to these clowns try to imply Smith did anything wrong, when this admin (regime) has broken every single law of this land in one years time!! How flippin’ DARE they. 😑 ugh

I cannot watch the treasonous a-holes! Thank goodness for sub-stack and you folk providing comments 🙏🇨🇦

Remember: Truth is false in their alterverse.

Nowak,Mary L's avatar

The truth should win in the end, but this administration is so corrupt, it may take a very long time. It's encouraging to see Smith testifying, at least he hasn't lost his integrity or principles. Whether this changes anything will remain to be seen.

JACK SMITH vs. the Republican Traitors.

susan cromer's avatar

I guess since they couldn’t kill him, they’re going to try to discredit him. Criminals- the lot of them🤬

Annette's avatar

Why is Jim Jordan election denier and pedofile chairman at Jack Smiths testimony?

Vergogna's avatar

Because the MAGA Cult has control of the Congress.

RJ Rentals's avatar

Because he used to wrestle: qualifications in this administration = Loyalty, yer in!

Rjohnson's avatar

Good question. Jordan has been in Congress for years, but has produced very little in terms of bills - maybe two? Doesn't his state have issues? Who selected this man to lead this committee and why do they keep this obnoxious, toxic person in the position? If he was even a little bit more even-handed as a commitee chair I would give him a break. He isn't and I do not. He needs to respond to victims who were assaulted by the college coach since, allegedly according to the victims, he knew about the assaults but did nothing. Now, that same ingenuity is being used to hurt the people who care about this country and what is right.

Rjohnson's avatar

It is disheartening to see Republicans prosecuting Jack Smith for his work on Trump’s investigation. They all know this man’s history and that he is distinguished and honorable - unlike many of them, especially Gym Jordan!

NJ Osborne's avatar

The way they treat Mr. Smith’s, pisses me right off

He is undoubtedly the most honorable person on the stage for none!

RJ Rentals's avatar

Jordan is a despicable liar- sycophant. If he were to marry MAGA Mike, I wonder if they could have babies?

Monica Ashton's avatar

Remember when Jim Jordan was in contempt for not honoring a subpoena to testify? Jack Smith is obviously the better man here. Jim Jordan is and always has been a "fast talking" hack. He wouldnt take the House Speaker position when offered..wanted this position instead to do Trumps bidding and protect himself. He is a complete coward.

Marge Pangrazzi's avatar

Gym Jordan sits up there acting so superior and yet he has refused to obey his subpoena about his part in the 1/6 insurrection is pathetic!! And all the republicans asking questions about money and sources is a joke. We all know that it's the republicans that have so much to hide!!

RJ Rentals's avatar

Guardians Of Pedophilia! GOP

LK WOODRUFF's avatar

Hope it ultimately inspires congressional actions!!!! Apply heavy pressure on the REPS/MAGA/FASCISTS now, Americans!!!! The world is watching...& waiting!
