So much ignorance and incompetence in this administration…

Dumpty will just lie like he always did. He has no idea what he’s doing….

Good work Ken and Denver!!!!

Linda Harris's avatar

Do you think he is going to talk tonight about pulling out of NATO? As well as his usual lies.

Joe Coffee's avatar

Absolutely. He’s AFU and full of BS. He is owned by Putin.

His administration is worse because they encourage him and enable him and his BS.

But it’s not just BS in terms of BS. (Almost sounds like the AH, doesn’t it?)

But it’s destroying people’s lives and they don’t give a damn.

It’s all about the money that they can make and power they crave.

MM Harris's avatar

Why bother to watch? Just a bunch of lies, gaslighting, etc.

Ken, I appreciate your insights. Excellent details and truth. I am so glad you joined MeidasTouch.

As a Veteran and retired civil servant I so appreciate you all today. My 20 year old Grandson is enlisting in the Air Force today. I am so worried. My son, a retired Navy chief, doesn't/can't see my concern.

I get it! YOU KNOW THE TRUTH! 💙✌🏽

I see that and understand your fear.

WTF was the black hawk helicopters and Kid Rock. This makes me soooo mad. It must make anyone who has served furious. They treat this as a game and they send our military with our tax dollars to visit a mediocre musician. It's not a game! Everyone in this Defense department should be charged over all the crap they are pulling. And get Hegseth out of there now! Such dishonor.

Colin Skelding's avatar

COURT MARTIAL ALL OF THEM!!! DISHONORABLE DISCHARGE!!!

MM Harris's avatar

I read one sentence about that chopper yesterday. It suggested that the pilot was suspended, but there was NOTHING (of course) about who he/she was, whether they did it on their own or other commands, etc.

Doug Bell's avatar

Now we have the Army having pilots wasting time money and breaking all kinds of professionalism and protocol by flying to someone’s house for a fly by that was unauthorized. Now the SECDEF has pulled the investigation into it because he thinks it was cool. We are a professional military and that is what makes us as strong as we are. He is killing that. Disgraceful

Doug Bell's avatar

As a Retired Army First Sergeant and combat veteran what is going on with our country and military today is shameful. We have a government sending servicemember’s to a conflict zone with no real mission plan and it is costing us in personnel and equipment.

Punkette's avatar

Thank you for your service, Top. I have a soft spot for first sergeants, as I was privileged to work with three exceptional Army 1SGs during my civil service admin career with the DoD during the 1980s-90s. Men of honor and integrity, respected by all, and funny as hell. I learned a lot from them and hope they are enjoying their well-earned retirement.

the idiots in charge are burning through cash in this war. and don't care...because billionaires are heavily invested in the military industrial complex

What he is doing to America is the worst. Inexcusable.

I’m not military by any means, but what this administration did and continues to do, even I can see that the states poked the wasp nest and it won’t settle down. Trump can say it’s over, over and over again but it’s only over in his head because he needs to ‘say’ he has won. ….he has not and will not. Even after he is gone. He represents America and Iran won’t forget. That is just my opinion. Scary

Cecelia Blair's avatar

I hope Iran, and for that matter everyone else, especially Americans, don’t forget! I mean this in the sense of learning the lesson of how unsafe and very destructive it becomes when either a narcissist or a psychopath reaches a consequential leadership role.

By comparison, the more common “neurotic”, motivated by anxiety and a desire for undue importance also makes a poor or weak leader, but he/she is more inadequate and cowardly than potentially world destroying— as is the psychopath and also the malignant narcissist type.

The psychopath is an unloving, amoral, power-seeking and unusually fearless type. The malignant narcissist—like the one we are currently suffering threat, loss and damage from in a range of ways that most did not imagine possible, much less probable.

While most adult people are pretty well grounded in normal reality and also have capacities for empathy and moral feeling, we tend to assume that other people are like this too. So if an individual has an appearance of normality and especially has the appearance or “earmarks” of success too, we tend to give them the benefit of the doubt and anticipate this person will also be generally reasonable, realistic and emotionally normal. But this is dangerously untrue in the case of both the psychopath and the malignant narcissist. It would be easier for us if these two harmful types were satisfied to stay at the bottom of society, be caught by the police and locked up—but they are cooler customers and focus their intelligence and energy instead to reach the top.(And many do!)

I hope Americans and the rest of the world learn the essential lessons here and before elevating anyone to a position of human responsibility, check very carefully under the hood. I hope with this current trial, most of us will survive and even recover. But for this we are all now needed and can contribute!

To my American friends: Before you judge Europe for staying out, ask yourself why your leaders are so eager to start a fire they have no intention of putting out themselves. Security isn't just about how much you pay. It’s about what you build—and right now, the U.S. seems more interested in tearing things down.

MM Harris's avatar

As an American stuck in our current nightmare, I do NOT judge Europe for staying out of this. It's the only sane reaction. I actually applaud them for standing up to a bully, and believe they are HELPING our fight against authoritarianism here.

Spot on, Jo. 👏🏽

Trump's speech tonight...perfectly timed for April Fool's Day. I appreciate you two for your sacrifice for our country, which includes watching his speeches. I cannot listen to an entire speech.

Ukraine is the leader of democracy in the world. U.S. is a joke under trump and the rest of the regime creeps. GOP in Congress is doa. IMPEACH!

Joel Applegate's avatar

I don't necessarily agree that Ukraine should be in NATO. That is the initial threat that set Putin on the current path. I certainly agree we should have been 100% supportive of Ukraine four years ago. Why can't we support Ukraine as the Switzerland of Eastern Europe? Let them establish protected neutrality.

Linda Harris's avatar

Because trump is obviously in Putin's pocket. No other president would have let Putin get away with what he is doing. He lifted sanctions on Russia, he sends his 2 treasonous friends Witkoff and Kushner to bargain for Russia to subvert Ukraine, Russia is knowingly giving intel to Iran about our soldiers and materiel.

Joel Applegate's avatar

Right. I don't think Putin will be neutralized until the orange stain is scrubbed.

Good conversation - looking at what trumps done to destroy our once great nation. I don’t understand how people can still watch and not resist this regime.
