If my own elected representatives - both Republican US Senators are too afraid to help us - either that or they are in on the deal, we need to increase the pressure somehow. Here is what I wrote my two senators this morning:
Dear Senator,
I am afraid that we are on a path for Trump to establish a Victor Orban/Hungary style dictatorship in this country. The only thing standing in his way is a concerted effort by the Republicans in the US Congress. Since you do not seem to be too particularly concerned about this, it must be that you are looking to benefit financially somehow in his kakistocracy/kleptocratic government, because it will not be what will benefit the American people. Far from it.
That’s the results of the Capitalistic system America loves so much. Money and getting as much as possible is everything in the US.
The US CLAIMS to be a mixed economic system of Capitalism and Socialism but the government is hard at work, trying to remove the social programs and become completely Capitalist. This only benefits those who are rich.
Don't forget that MAGA replaced many of them, recently, so quite some of them are ideologically convinced neofascists. It's important to know that, although Trump isn't an ideologue and merely a corrupt grifter, the people who really pull the strings behind the scenes are the GOP neofascists.
As long as we continue to focus on Trump only, as the legacy media do, we'll imagine that Congress is passively silent. It's not. Many of them have been neofascists for years already, so the GOP is ideologically rotten to the core. People urgently need to know this, especially traditional GOP voters.
