I am so happy to see more women running for Congress. I believe that more women in Congress will lead to a kinder gentiler House and Senate looking out for all citizens.

Did Cheeto Snuff Out Epstein?

Questions have long been asked about Epstein’s “suicide” At least 2 inmates of the Metropolitan Correction Facility in Manhattan have come forth to question the possibility that Epstein actually took his own life (https://bit.ly/4535TTB) reasoning that there was no plausible reason why Epstein would do such a thing given his circumstances

Forensic analysis of the tapes made public have a glaring 3 minute deficit Despite Bondi claiming that there is a minute for “camera maintenance” does not explain the 3 minute time lapse

Then there is no forensic evidence available about the Epstein autopsy that should have been done given the circumstances of the death The report is that he hung himself with a bedsheet tied to the bunkbed but no autopsy report or DNA reporting

Lastly lecherous Cheeto has been long known to operate as a mob boss with his early Roy Cohn training Did Epstein have too much incriminating evidence against Cheeto and would try to blackmail his compadre? And hey, who cares if a sex trafficking pedophile commits suicide?

I’m an RN and love to see actual medically trained professionals (not RFKjr🙄) want to run for office. We need a change with insurance companies like the corrupt United Healthcare and their little corrupt cousins Cigna and Aetna. I work in oncology and I have come across 100s of patients that can’t afford their chemotherapy, their scans, blood work, and supportive therapies and Medicaid has been their only financial savior. And, if it were me, I would hope I could turn to my state and federal government to help me because we all matter.

I love seeing women health care workers want to run for office. I'm on the fence about having government run health care as I lived in Canada for many years. The system has many problems such as not having access to specialty care in a timely manner. It takes a year to get in to see specialty physicians. Trying to find a primary care physican is difficult at best. Wait times for long term care is years. I developed breast cancer while here in the States and I believe I would have had it much worse had it been in Canada and yes, our bills were high here in the States, at least they were manageable.

I understand your point. Yet, in the USA now, if you don't have work related healthcare, you have nothing, and trump republicans are right now ensuring that more citizens and all immigrants suffer and die from lack of healthcare. The "pro life" republicans are harbingers of death.

You operate under the assumption that there are no or short wait times for physicians here in the US. That is most definitely not true. If you are not an emergency case, you can wait months to see, like, an ortho, derm, or rheumatologist. You will also wait months for surgery in many cases. I, myself have gone through 2 primary docs in two years and now they are assigning me to an NP. And why should anyone have high medical bills? Half a million a year declare bankruptcy because of medical bills. I could go on. Do some more research and get off the fence. US health care system is not the best in the world. Just the costliest.

Sylvia Arrowood's avatar

I did not say the US health care system is the best. It is not the best. It is the costliest. I agree with that. But I do not know the best way to make it better. People think there are no health care costs in Canada but there are. You still need to have health care insurance for all the things the government is getting out of. Also taxes in Canada are high. In Ontario 15% on everything you purchase. Cost of living is high.

So I am still on the fence. If we have the government take care of health care then taxes rise. Do some research and make suggestions on how to make it better.

A nice Canadian person on a Canadian FB page kindly provided me with typical costs they pay for taxes and for health care. I don't recall the exact numbers, but, I will tell you that things came out fairly equal. Do you know how much a health care plan from an employer costs per year for a family plan? It is up to $32,000 a year. $32,000. A goodly chunk, you pay, in addition to copays and deductibles. I doubt you pay anywhere near that much in taxes. So, in addition to the premium cost paid for private health insurance by employers, the fact that it leaves less money on the table for salaries paid to you, the fact that the employer deducts the cost from taxable income so the government gets less, and the fact that you pay income taxes here for health care services for approximately 60% of Americans already (Medicaid, Medicare, VA Health, Indian Health, TriCare), we might as well transition. the US is the ONLY modern nation without universal health care. That should tell you a lot. I know how to make it better. I have researched as early as 1990 and followed the arguments. There is still not the political will to do it. It's a FOR PROFIT system. It shouldn't be.

Sylvia needs to stop badmouthing national Healthcare. ALL of Europe and Canada have nationalized Healthcare, with various differences, and you MUST admit Europeans are much healthier than Americans. Specialty Healthcare is something that opponents of national Healthcare love to point at. You must be a right winger defending the system. NO ONE in Europe goes bankrupt to get Healthcare. Focus on that!

Sylvia Arrowood's avatar

What I am saying is I don't know how to make national healthcare work in the States. Canada has a population of 40 million and what is the population of the States? 340 million. I have children living in Canada and I see what is going on. There are a number of Canadians who come to the States - especially cancer treatment centers like Roswell in Buffalo for their treatment. I know what I speak of and I don't appreciate the tone. It's just that I don't know how they are going to make it work here in the States. Yes, I think healthcare should be available to everyone without bankrupting people but I don't know how to do that. If someone could give a viable fiscally reponsible plan, that would be something I could get off the fence about.

Doc, we need to control our elected officials so we get Medicare for all;

WE NEED ALL THE PODCASTERS SUPPORTING SIGN OUR AGREEMENT FOR OUR MONEY & VOTES

WE NEED ALL THE PODCASTERS AND EVERYONE ELSE THAT LIKES THE FOLLOWING CONCEPT: TO SHARE IT WITH EVERYONE AND ANYONE THAT WANTS THIS MOST IMPORTANT CHANGE, SO "WE THE PEOPLE” TAKE CONTROL OF OUR OWN DESTINY.

IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN MAKING SURE WE BEGIN ELECTING OUR EMPLOYEES, (ANYONE RUNNING FOR POLITICAL OFFICE) THAT THEY WILL AGREE AND SIGN A BINDING AGREEMENT THAT "WE THE PEOPLE” WILL INSTRUCT THEM WHAT LAWS TO PASS, AND 'WE THE PEOPLE” WILL WRITE THESE LAWS, SO AS TO NOT HAVE THEM SUBJECTED TO CORRUPTIBLE INFLUENCING, AND SO THEY WON'T MAKE MISTAKES AND LOOK DIMWITTED BY THEM THINKING THEY KNOW WHAT "WE THE PEOPLE” WANT. THE EASIEST AND BEST WAY, IS THE WAY WE WANT IT HANDLED, AND THE PROOF IS JUST LOOK AT THE FUCKING MESS THAT OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS HAVE CAUSED !!

TO ALL FUTURE ELECTED OFFICIALS…..

IF YOU WANT OUR MONEY AND VOTES FOR YOU TO BE ELECTED TO THE HOUSE, SENATE OR PRESIDENCY, THEN AGREE IN WRITING THAT YOU WILL VOTE FOR OUR LAWS, AND DO YOUR VERY BEST TO DELIVER ON YOUR SIGNED AGREEMENT, OR PAY US BACK ALL THE MONEY WE DONATED TO YOU, AND AVOID BEING ACCUSED OF PERJURY BY NOT LYING IN OUR AGREEMENT, IN ADDITION YOU WILL IMMEDIATELY RESIGN FROM YOUR ELECTED POSITION. WE ARE NOT PLAYING GAMES. "WE THE PEOPLE” WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY DECEPTION FROM ANY OF OUR ELECTED EMPLOYEES EVERY AGAIN.

But what the fuck do I know….By Lucky Lieberman 7-24-2025

I have never been able to understand why some Americans are so opposed to a system of universal public health care. I guess it is because I grew up in Saskatchewan when Tommy Douglas was the Premier, and the CCF (Co-operative Commonwealth Federation) Formed the government. One of the first things the CCF did after they were elected in the spring of 1944 was to introduce a hospitalization plan for the people living in the province. It cost a whopping $5 per person per year for free hospital services. The government also implemented a 3% sales tax to help pay for it. Another early initiative of the CCF government under Tommy Douglas was a program to build a number of hospitals in the smaller towns and villages. In 1964 Saskatchewan expanded its medical services to cover all medical costs including doctors fees.

For twenty years the CCF was the only democratically elected socialist government in North America. In addition to its health care initiatives, the Saskatchewan government built numerous new schools and highways. They also brought electrical power and natural gas to rural communities and farms. Right-wing politicians will often tell the people that socialist governments are free spending and only raise the public debt, but the CCF was able to accomplish it programs and balanced the budget every year it was in power. The Saskatchewan government was debt free when it was defeated by Ross Thatcher's Liberal Party in 1964.

The dislike for universal Healthcare is rooted in the wealthy's propaganda that brain washed the majority of Americans that Healthcare cost to much and that a Black man created a system (Obama care) that is a failure even though it was/is in their best interest. The everyman cut off their noses to spite their perverbal faces. Bottom line the wealthy played the race card and won.

People do not do due diligence when it comes to evaluating our "health care" system. (It's really an illness care system.) I have been a proponent of Medicare for All since 1990 when I researched it for grad school. Americans HAVE been brainwashed by a for profit system that only cares about $$$, not patients. We spend the most per capita (about 45% more than the next most expensive socialized system), have far from the best outcomes, have half a million going bankrupt every year because of it, have like 22 million without any insurance, have a private system with at least 15% overhead while Medicare runs 2-3%, pay millions for CEO's that aren't necessary, spend billions now for Taj Mahal hospitals in wealthy areas (Stanford) while rural areas are begging for help, pay excessive amounts for drugs and medical devices, result in people staying in jobs they hate rather than doing the great work they might if they were free of worrying about having insurance, and the US is THE ONLY MODERN NATION THAT DOES NOT PROVIDE HEALTH CARE TO ITS' CITIZENS. THE ONLY ONE.

Excellent info Neil....The right wing in America is MUCH more persuasive/propogandistic and convinces people it's NORMAL to pay out of the ass for Healthcare. Dems, in my 60 years of life have NEVER pointed to Europe/Canada and say..' This system is superior and we must mimic it'. (Not even Bernie does it which puzzles me). Health is a money making op and the capitalistic vultures have won the argument and we all suffer for it.
