This insanity feels like they are trying to kill us…as if they want us dead. Nothing else makes sense to me.

SnowWolf's avatar

Umm, I hate to break this to you. It IS the plan. In the 1930s handicapped and ‘mentally unfit’ children and adults were taken to camp. Most mysteriously died and never returned.

Get rid of the unfit, the poor, the ‘others.’ Steven Miller and that Fox host think round them up and give terminal injections or using other methods are fine ideas.

Label all trans people terrorists so they can be rounded up. Immigrants are vermin- round them up. Blacks are genetically inferior-round them up too. Old people and diabetics cannot afford meds- let them just die.

They have been using the same methods used then, including Goebbels’s propaganda speeches translated into English - virtually word for word.

Sowing hate, falsehoods, and fear- they think it will work here, too.

But, the USA is still influential. Look at all the people world wide protesting against yhe oppressors.

We may wind up bruised and battered but we will overcome.

Be brave and do not focus on being fearful. It hurts your body and mind. Focus on the courage you have. Do a service in your community. Build one if needed. Focus on helping your neighbors get thru these times. Any little bit is a drop invested in the ocean of the future. Know that you are loved thru all the tumultuous time. Find things to laugh at, joy in a bird’s song, wonder at a flowers beauty. Be at peace as much as you can. 🙏 💗

It has been working here. After trumpf’s stupid advice to mainline bleach, there were people who actually injected bleach into their bodies. Magat organization wouldn’t exist if the bulk wasn’t made of uneducated sycophants. He won’t stop. That’s why he has to be stopped by something stronger than impeachment proceedings!

Distancing and lockdowns DO have basis in science. Airborne virus spread through what...AIR. So if you are not breathing the air of a person with the virus you won't get it.

If you are 6 feet from a person there is less chance of breathing their direct exhalation. If you are wearing a mask or not going out there is less chance of contacting a virus.

PEOPLE spread that virus by congregating. That is why it, and other viruses increase in the winter due to being in enclosed spaces more without air flow.

If people had FOLLOWED the guidelines the virus would have had no chance to spread.

Science. And common sense.

Unfortunately people didn't follow the guidelines, and spread the virus to others. The vaccine was what allowed it to subside and mutate to a less virulent form. Biden didn't do it. People did.

SnowWolf's avatar

It was also proven approximately 2018 - 2019. Photos show people at a baseball game and other activities while wearing masks. The “Spanish Flu was stopped and/or slowed its rapid and deadly spread. Science once more, in a time when science was believed in.

Ah. Science. Thank you.

You are correct. However blaming Biden is like closing the barn door after all the animals escaped. He was elected into a horrible situation that had been made worse by a president who didn't take any measures to contain the virus, to support the population with empathy and compassion. He took away the one slightly effective tool of masks by dividing the population against itself.

Our system had been partly dismantled and early warnings about Covid were ignored. Orange guy kept saying it would go away....not helpful leadership when our hospitals and morgues were overrun.

6 feet was a compromise doable action. People usually stand much closer, right? So getting SOME distance helped people subconsciously realize it was spread by close contact so stand back. It was more like a psychological tactic to help people take a step back quite literally. It got them out of each other's space somewhat and may have helped a little. As for being effective there are, as you point out, many other factors.

Masks have been proven to work or doctors would not wear them to limit the flow of airborne particles. Even a bad mask is better than no mask at containing fluid particles that spread. Unfortunately you would think that he wanted us to get sick because he made those "bad".

Then companies did things to make it as safe as they could by installing barriers which might have helped some too. Just getting us out of each other's faces was a start at least. We were doing SOMETHING, and that was psychologically helpful. It calmed things down a little.

NO president at that time in history would have done the PERFECT thing to stop Covid. We were socked sideways as was the entire world.

The vaccine was the "slow it down" solution giving humans time to allow the virus to mutate to a less virulent form that we have now. Funny that Orange is now anti-vaccine, but that is just a way to pry money from big pharma for his personal coffers. We have a mob mentality in our govt. now...extortion through threats and intimidation. It's not going to last.

I do feel for the kids. If we can do some rehab in our educational system at some point, beyond shoving church into it and eliminating history, maybe we can help those affected. Standardized tests are not the answer anymore. In this age where we have AI we need to re-think how we educate with our eyes wide open. There is so much potential in the future if we stop trying to go backwards. In fact, big picture, there is a huge amount of fantastic potential good for everyone if we use AI wisely to assist our forward growth instead of trying to control people.

It's quite obvious you are just looking for someone to argue with. Now you are going on to add other details instead of addressing your original statement. I can see where this conversation is NOT going, so bye. Have the day you voted for.

Find a church that follows Jesus that volunteers in the community. I have joined the League of Women Voters. I write postcards for Activate America. I am spreading the word that Trump and MAGA are followers of Satan and are not Christians.

Monica Mac's avatar

He is not even CLOSE to being an actual Christian!! He pretends that he is, so that he gets the followers.....it is so, so wrong. I don't understand why more people don't see it, the way that you and I do.

Marilyn Rossow's avatar

What an eloquent comment! Thank you. We will overcome.

Terry Gilman's avatar

Examples of Goebbels's speeches being used? That would be interesting.

SnowWolf's avatar

I used to get paid for doing research. You cannot afford my bill.

SnowWolf's avatar

Seriously? Go read about him. If you have listened to the last years speeches, it should already then be obvious. I am not your free educator.

Many have posted videos and stated same. I have studied 1930s & 40s rather extensively for over 4 decades, with a specific interest in propaganda. Also see history of marketing for addt’l. Info on why it works, bypassing logic in many people.

That’s exactly what they want. Covid was supposed to kill the poor but trumpf was caught off guard when rich white people started dying. Keep everyone uneducated, afraid, and sick!

He literally wants women to die. This is crazy.

I’m 77 and autistic

Monica Mac's avatar

61 and autistic. I am certain my father was, too. My son, also (diagnosed at age 3). My daughter, not. It is a genetic lottery. Oh, and I suspect my paternal grandfather was also on the spectrum.

My father was a brilliant engineer with the brightest mind of anyone I have met. My son has an IQ of 141 but struggles to get work (due to his ADHD, which is very obvious, I think). My grandfather was a very quiet man who worked as an accountant. Me? I am a Registered Nurse who specialises in immunisation. Perfect job for me, I work by myself, I road trip a lot and I take pride in providing the least traumatic experience that I can around injections.

SnowWolf's avatar

How will they explain away autism in my generation? I was born in 1955. My mom did not have the prescription only for children available. What made up excuse for that will be invented?

In 1955, McNeil Laboratories released the first commercially available aspirin-free pain reliever, only available for children by prescription (elixir form only.)

Only in 1959, after the company was acquired, was Tylenol approved for sale without a prescription. It would only become available over the counter in 1960.

J. G.'s avatar

I was born in 1951. I, too, show some spectrum symptoms. My husband, born in 1955, has even more spectrum symptoms than I do. Neither of us were officially diagnosed. Nor was my son, born in 1973. One grandchild was officially as being on the spectrum, 2 others are suspected by a daughter who has a Master’s degree in Special Education, Early Intervention. Guess who was the mother of the grandchild who was diagnosed!

SnowWolf's avatar

It is like being left handed. Once it stopped being considered a sign of the devil- suddenly the rates miraculously went up. Same here. People of some percentage merely now have tests to say so. Rates go up!?!?! Of course. Same percentage, new perception of it.

God help us if we have another pandemic during while these idiots are in office. My Mom is a physician. No studies have linked Tylenol to autism and women know NOT to give a baby Tylenol. Theirs children’s Tylenol to be given at a certain age for a reason.

Leah Baum's avatar

Please make him stop with the lies and conspiracy theories. Autism isn’t caused by vaccines or taking Tylenol while pregnant. What is sad too many brainwashed MAGA will believe this low IQ pathological liar.

Susan Raquel's avatar

Personally I think that it is a guilt/blame issue. If autism is caused by vaccines, tylenol, etc., then I am not to blame. Then there is nothing wrong with my genetic code or DNA or whatever, it is the blame of an outside issue.

I know a man who is probably bi-polar. His father died when he was very young. His father had some kind of mental issue; but, the son has never been able to find out what it was. The son has decided that his father had a mental issue because he abused drugs and if he had not abused drugs he would have been perfectly fine.

Sometimes people abuse drugs/alcohol to try to counter their mental illness.

Leah Baum's avatar

Unfortunately my daughter is in denial that anything is wrong with her. Refuses to take meds and has been homeless for over a year. Until a year ago she was misdiagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. She needs to be in a hospital to get on meds. Her younger daughter is more like a daughter to me so we talk often. She’s currently serving our country in the Airforce.

Susan Raquel's avatar

Yes, you are going through hell too. My friend's dgt wouldn't admit that she had a problem until she got picked up on a 72 hour hold. She took her clothes off and laid in the middle of the street saying that she was going to be a speed bump as cars were going too fast and endangering children.

She had no memory of doing this and argued that there was nothing wrong with her. The therapist showed her the police report. Fortunately that was enough to convince her and meds were started and she went into therapy.

There were probably a half dozen or more events that could have had terrible results. One time she ended up over a hundred miles away; but, somehow had the where with all to call her mother so she could go get her. She was all beat up; but, didn't know who did it or how she ended up so far from home.

It is an awful problem. I'm glad that you have the other daughter to talk to about it. My friend told me that she got a lot of support from an online group that had family and friends with schizophrenia.

Leah Baum's avatar

People who are mentally unstable use drugs to feel better. Sadly my eldest granddaughter is a heroine junky with undiagnosed mental illness. My daughter her mother is ill with schizophrenia.

Susan Raquel's avatar

My very good friend has a daughter with schizophrenia (I don't think they call it that anymore). She went through pure hell with that girl until the dgt finally accepted that she had a mental illness. She's been on meds for about 5 years. She has gotten back to work and seems to be doing okay now.

My friends two younger children have never shown any signs of it.

Well, Leah, I do hope that your dgt and granddgt can accept help and get better, if not only for their sakes; but, also for yours.

David Maceira's avatar

Autism was first diagnosed in 1943. Acetaminophen or Tylenol was first made available by prescription only in 1955.

Jody's avatar

Yes and saying he doesn’t know any elderly people with autism. I do. They just weren’t ever diagnosed. Many adults today will never be diagnosed. I recognised the traits, having known quite a few children with autism. When I was a child they were called IHC, or “just different”. Looking back I realise I probably knew lots of autistic kids, but very few if any were ever diagnosed. Autistic kids seem to really respond to me, because I treat everybody the same I guess. I once babysat for a family with an autistic child and they said lock him in his room if he’s “naughty”. Once they left he came out and we had an amazing chat about dinosaurs. Not naughty at all. My brother’s nephew is quite autistic, because of this they were worried about me meeting him. Finally I met him, he immediately began chatting away to me, showing me his drawings, and he insisted I come to temple with them & sit beside him in the car, even held my hand once we got out of the car. And I get a lot of smiles from the non-speaking (non-verbal I don’t agree with he verbalises but in a different way) autistic boy in my son’s class.

GREIW's avatar

Also tRump specifically mentioned the age of; “twelve” in his attempt to normalize s*xual copulation with underaged children!

I think a lot of people missed that. Despicable.
