Hey Meidas Mighty, Ben Meiselas here.
I’ll keep this short.
A few observations from the past three days:
First, Trump is spiraling faster than I expected.
Second, corporate media looks almost totally irrelevant as the MeidasTouch Network has replaced them by covering actual news fearlessly.
Third, the MeidasTouch Network’s main competitor for the foreseeable future will be Fox. There’s no sugarcoating it—Fox has gotten a boost since the inauguration.
MeidasTouch handily leads CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, NewsNation, and other media in digital views. We also easily beat Trump’s YouTube channel. But we’re trailing Fox.
We need to change that. Subscribing to this Substack helps us grow and continue our momentum if you can.
Let me flesh out some of the points above quickly.
Trump looks and sounds unwell—physically and mentally.
His interview last night with Hannity looked like someone who needs to be placed on a 5150 involuntary psychological hold.
He refuses to talk about the economy. He claims Americans don’t care about inflation. He bragged about making songs with the January 6 insurrectionists he pardoned and said he’s thinking about inviting them to the White House.
The Fraternal Order of Police, which endorsed him, is now condemning him.
His approval rating is underwater.
He is despised. He is flailing. He is failing.
That brings me to my second point: the media.
Corporate media is basically dead.
They gave us the middle finger. We ended them. We are putting them out of business. Full stop. No slowing down.
The oligarchs thought they controlled the flow of all information and that they were going to help Trump impose his MAGA agenda.
You failed, corporate media!
You underestimated the intelligence of your viewers.
Don’t treat us like idiots. We know your hustle.
We, the people, saw through your plans. We, the people, cut the cord.
Now, people subscribe to this Substack and the MeidasTouch Network YouTube
channel to get their news.
The heads of CNN, The Washington Post, ABC, and the others can keep fluffing Trump’s nub of a crooked, plagued presidency that oozes criminality all they want.
Yesterday, the head of CNN mandated that their coverage be nicer and more favorable to Trump. Total trash.
Corporate media made itself into a pro-Trump mouthpiece, and in doing so, made itself irrelevant.
It’s just gross to see how far they’ve fallen.
It’s pathetic.
It’s shameful.
But they aren’t needed anymore.
Get out of our way.
Go to Mar-a-Lago and paint your face orange or whatever you do there.
Govern yourself accordingly.
That brings me to the third point: Fox.
We need to be real here for a moment.
Fox ratings are up. Way up.
They are the only network beating us now.
We were beating them. But they got a bump.
I know Jesse Watters and Hannity were praising their teams earlier today at their meetings for beating us on the digital charts.
I’d be lying if I said it didn’t piss me off that Hannity and Watters were laughing at our expense, knowing they’re getting more views now than the Meidas Mighty.
We’ve done it before, and we’ll do it again. We will beat Fox in the future with this people-powered network.
I’m still proud we’re beating all the other networks—thanks to you.
I don’t know about you, but I feel a different type of energy right now than before the inauguration.
I actually feel hope and optimism.
I actually feel that Trump’s presidency is going to go down in flames and implode—quicker than even I expected.
I feel we are going to be a major factor in making that happen. The Meidas Mighty can do it.
I feel this is our moment.
I feel our Puppy Inauguration was the perfect troll to kick things off, but then our relentless coverage—averaging over 7 million views a day—has set a new tone and new standard for a sophisticated but brutal opposition to Trump’s tyranny, surgically dismantling him.
I feel energized.
Trump tried to huff and puff and scare us, but he failed.
Trump tried to intimidate us in court, but he failed.
We are the captains of the ship now—the Meidas Mighty.
I want to keep our Substack subscriber count growing. That’s how we build.
Now is the time to accelerate our growth fast.
We don’t have any outside investors. Zero. None. We grow through this Substack. It’s working, but we need to accelerate that growth now.
I’m sick and tired of billionaires and oligarchs running media companies. That’s why we have zero investors and we are 100 percent independent.
No one tells us what to do except the input you, the Meidas Mighty, give us.
That’s our model, and dammit, we’re sticking to it.
Let’s try to get 200 new subscribers today.
Please become a paid subscriber now if you can, or gift subscriptions to others if you’re able.
We appreciate your support of our 100 percent independent media network during this critical time.
Meidas Touch Network, Ron Filipkowski, and Substack do an excellent job replacing the spineless legacy media. Keep it going!
CBS just fired their weatherman because he commented on Elon’s nazi arm gesture. Please go after them too.
