Already a subscriber and so grateful I found you guys, your reporting has helped me truly understand what is happening, who is doing what and how its effects are being felt and by whom. Not only was I not getting that through mainstream media but anywhere else. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. I share MTN with anyone who will listen!

Mighty Meidas owns Fox and Rogan! Please don’t forget all the public servants who were fired by the fascists. My partner lost her civil service career and we are struggling financially to raise funds for a lawsuit against the muskrat: https://democracydefender2025.substack.com/p/elon-felon-crimes

For now all I can do is be a free subscriber. Is the ACLU or any other law firm representing civil servant folks who lost their jobs that we might be able to contribute to? I already support the ACLU but if you let us know about any other way to help maybe many of us can send a few dollars and that will add up to help a bit.

More to the point: is anyone from MTN representing these people who lost their jobs? After all, we're told time and time again that MTN "has our backs." Seems more like they have our money . . . and want more.

I'm not sure what or who you mean by anybody from MTN...do you mean the staff/correspondents or the members. I don't think it's the job of the staff/correspondents to represent anyone, their job is to present the news but it would be great if some of their reporting did in fact result in someone representing these people, or at least let us know who is representing them. I am pretty sure the NFFE has filed at least one lawsuit and also a group of States Attorneys General have filed a suit. I am not an attorney so I don't know if more law suits are needed or what. Personally I'm fine with them having as much of my money as I want to give them (obviously you don't have to give them any). What I really don't like is that through my DISH programming I have to support fox news and can't opt out and have my bill reduced and where I live, DISH is the best option for me (between DISH and Direct TV, the only ways I can get TV here).

I mean the attorneys at MTN, such as Ben. He's always saying he's "got our back," so what's he doing to help individuals such as those fed employees who were fired?

I didn't know that you have to support Fox News if you subscribe to DISH. That's terrible!

Pat Robinson's avatar

I don't imagine Ben or anyone else at MNT has time to actually represent anyone, and if they could, how would they choose? I have no idea how the ACLU decides who to work for there is so much to be done and so little of them!

Turns out I don't get fox...I guess at one time I did and switched to a cheaper package. For me to get the Weather Channel, MSNBC and CNBC and BBC and Bloomberg I also have to get fox. I used to get those as I do/did watch the Weather Channel a lot, but i na cost saving move I went to a smaller package. Since I rarely watched any of the news shows, I just did not realize I no longer had them. So you can get DISH and not support fox. Sorry for the misinformation! I do sure wish I could just get the Weather Channel!

Love all you guys are doing to be a beacon for not just America's democracy, but those struggling for freedom worldwide! Go Meidas Mighty!!

I agree about the worldwide part and that is what gives me hope in times of despair. Democracy will survive, just maybe not in the US for several generations. And maybe once it's gone it will be forever. When we started out as a nation it was much harder for freedom loving folks to find a free nation where people were indeed valued for their character, not the color of their skin or size of their bank account. Now it is considerably easier to find a welcoming home so it may be freedom living folks simply don't want to live here anymore. So we for sure need to work on saving democracy in the US but also help the rest of the world!

Pat, thanks for your valuable thoughts. This is why I have gone from quiet supporter to more vocalized and in addition to making significant contributions to Meidas and its plethora of growing freedom fighting channels, as well as, physically joining in protests right up to the point of approaching physical arrest in order to beat back this total fraud tyrant Trump.

Sadly I am in a position where I choose not to actively (meaning in pubic) support the resistance. I live in a very red very maga area where it is fine to retaliate against anyone who does not support trump. So I greatly appreciate your courage to get out there and do things. If ther retaliation were only against me I might be willing to do stuff but I have animals and kids and grand kids. And yes I often think about the poem about how we didn't do anything when they came after the jews and that I should be willing to sacrifice my animals and kids but I'm not at that point yet. It's quite a dilemna...I have a horse sanctuary and I promised the horses I'd provide them a safe home till they died, and I know they don't really know I made that promise but I did and I can't go back on that. I spent my early professional years working in the criminal justice system (actually sort of focusing on prison reforms) and based on what was going on way back then, in women's prisons..most women were in for minor things like bad checks or killing their husbands, and I wonder sometimes if protestors get arrested if the company in prison would be better than the company in the local evangelical churches around here....much better conversations I'm sure. Many many thanks for all you do and for all the brave folks out there on the front lines with you.

Pat, I appreciate your situation. The support you give to us and Meidas as well as social media all add up. Everyone needs to do as much as they can in order to bring sensibility and humanity back to America. The world is watching.

Thank you so much for doing that! I really don't have any friends or family to share with (the few I have don't spend any time on the internet) and I live in a 99.999% red district so there are no neighbors to share with (in fact it would be dangerous for me to be identified as part of the resistance). So I am especially thankful for folks like you who can and do share a lot!

Thank you. Have no idea how I would’ve survive this hundred plus days without you. I’ve gifted four people a subscription earlier this year. I’m now going to find out how I can automatically download the Podcasts. I don’t download them. I just listen if downloading them will boost. I’ll figure out how to do that. I’m more of a daily YouTube channel listener and a reader. Continued success and praying for our country.

Thank you for saying this. I too am mostly a daily YouTube listener and really don't know how to do the rest and if it costs for subscriptions, I just can't afford it..I've tried Spotify but the best I could figure out was after a brief free trial I had to pay.

I am so glad to hear this, and Congratulations. I am a member of the substack, and patreon (with my old YouTube that was just taken down) I can't figure out how to switch the patreon to my new YouTube.

***I am so frustrated- If there are more of us than there are of them, then why are they still kicking our asses so badly? And with all the new laws that they are trying to pass, soon we won't even be able to protest without going to jail for 20 years for "domestic terrorism." Times are desperate. I am grateful for the truth. You report the truth. The truth sets us free, right? Well what can we do??? What can we do, right now, that will make a difference. I don't think that we have time to wait until mid-terms. So much damage is being done on a daily basis. I am so frustrated with democratic leadership. We need to fight as if our life depended on it, because it does. And those in congress need to reach across the aisle and start talking to the few moderate republicans who are still there. They need to pull them over to our side and convince them to vote our way when the time comes. Anyway- thank you all for being here. As always, Shout Out to the MIGHTY! And we are MIGHTY!

I continue to ask the same questions you are asking..what can we do right now that will matter? Calling my MOCs is useless...they know they have all future elections locked up even without any more voter restrictions. I'm in Missouri and Josh Hawley won without even doing any campaigning, as did my representative. I think if it is safe to do, sending letters to the editor and maybe even taking out ads to let the public know what the GOP is doing to them can help as it will sway public opinion and in some places that will help. I don't read all the comments, so here's part of what I posted in a comment I made about actually doing something from the Lincoln project:

"Take the time you would have spent complaining about politics online, and use it to write a comment opposing the proposed Office of Personnel Management rule to politicize public services. You can do it in 5 minutes. Deadline is May 23rd!

Why should you do this?

The proposed rule seeks to reinstate Schedule F, Trump’s never implemented plan to institutionalize political control and loyalty tests for the career bureaucracy by turning 50,000 or more career civil servants into political appointees.

Federal comments really do matter. By law, they must be read by the administration, and substantive comments require a response. Failure to do so can see the rule tossed out by courts."

Because I have no idea about most things, I don't know how to find out about other similar actions we can take but I would like to find a place that told up things we can do that do not cost money.
