There’s a strange quiet before a tide turns. Not silence—but the kind of stillness that listens.

When approval ratings wobble and narratives collide, we’re not just watching politics—we’re watching a nation mirror itself. A reckoning not just with one man, but with memory, media, and meaning.

The numbers matter, yes. But it’s the story beneath them—the slow erosion of myth, the recalibration of trust—that carries weight.

What happens when enough people look again, and see something different?

Small acts ripple. Quiet generosity in action. The math of compassion is always unfolding.

Musk says that the fundamental weakness of Western Civilization is empathy. As usual, the exact opposite is true, and is playing out every day. Musk, Trump, and their soulless minions are collapsing in real time under the weight of public outrage and overwhelming resistance to their fascist fantasies.

The sickening reports of FEMA turning down disaster aid to states hit hard by natural disasters.........Satan and his evil spirts are proud of Musk' lack of empathy for humanity. Hades is overjoyed by the Trump regime.

Will Maga choose to drimk the Satanic Orange Kool-Aid or will they see the light?

The only thing that will break the silence of the calm before the storm are the voices of millions in the streets..from coast to coast........week in and week out........demanding that Satanic darkness is defeated and the light of Democracy lives.

Red-staters (God bless 'em) pay taxes like all other Americans - and owing to Republican policies and dogma get less back for their contributions than do blue-staters - that has a LOT to do with why blue states are more productive and prosperous, but that's another discussion. When a tornado flattens a red state town - or one is flooded - the citizens therein EXPECT the government to lend a hand getting them back on their feet. Why? Because they PAID THEIR DAMN TAXES for exactly that - and that's ALWAYS the first thing out of their mouths - "I paid my taxes - where's the help?" Now that disaster assistance is being purposely WITHHELD from red states - they must have been released from their obligation to pay taxes to pay for same - right? OF COURSE NOT - they are STILL on the hook - STILL paying - and NOT getting any help. You think that might begin to feel like a knife in the back? Like a rip-off? A betrayal? Damn straight! Because it is! Republican office-holders clearly think they can get away with this kind of stick-up and not be made to pay for it. I'm guessing they're mistaken - NO ONE will sit still for that for long...

I can only hope that you are right about how they should feel. Ripped off, betrayed, stabbed in the back.

That is very normal.

What they always do is make excuses for these evil bastards.

They voted for him. They wanted all this. We will see if they will sit still, or wake up . Something happening here...

I agree, but wish to add: Blue states are generally more productive because of their policies favoring helping each other, increased tolerance, leverageing everybody's ability to contribute (not just a specific race and gender). Encouraging education, helping people be healthy through cleaner air, land, water... and medical care. In general, blue states pay more in federal taxes than red states. In general, blue states pay more in federal taxes than they get back from the federal government, whereas Red states get more than they give. There are lots of people who like to live in their states. I assume each has their values and properties that appeal to the people living there, and so suggest that when we talk about other states, we consider listening rather than demonizing, and helping in every way we can, without being pushy about it. If somebody comes to you and offers to help, I get it that you look with suspicion. And nobody wants to be told they are not bright. But consider that many of those people studied hard, learned a lot, just so they could be of help, so they could offer better ways of doing things. You don't always need to accept advice, but it is usually wise to listen to it and thank them for offering it.

Did you know that one of the first signs of a person developing dementia is that they can no longer display empathy. Remind you of anyone?

He has displayed a severe personality disorder known as malignant narcissism his entire life, as analyzed by behavioral health professionals, which includes sociopathy/absence of empathy. So this is not new. As his cognitive decline/dementia continues and worsens, it gets worse.

Narcissistic sociopath was the official psychiatric diagnosis but nobody listened. Personally I think he’s a psychopath, but I have nothing more than my intuition to go on…from surviving one.

Trump has never exhibited any kind of empathy, though I do agree that dementia has already set in and it will only get worse. Trump is a 9-point malignant, passive/aggressive narcissist from my point of view and you can't get any more of a narcissist than meeting all 9 points of the diagnosis for narcissistic personality disorder.

Narcissists do not age well. As they get older, they are more easily manipulated. They cannot keep up their fake facade of caring very well, if at all. They are unable to keep all the balls in the air at the same time and keep everyone in their circle gaslighted. The cracks in his narcissism are showing more every day as he does not know what is going on around him. He does not strategically manipulate people. He is letting people steal the spotlight from him for longer periods of time than he would have when he was younger. His decision making is erratic and he has a tough time remembering what he has already done, which means he will contradict it over and over as his memory continues to decline.

Seen it before in a close relative. It's Karma in my book. What goes around comes around and what comes around to a narcissist is the same crap they dished out while they were getting old.

The deep dive into NPD is so very good......DJT has done one good thing....made Narsisstic Abuse Disorder mainstream........that will go perfectly on his Orange tombstone right beside the 13th green.

Narcs do lose it as they get older. They have no real friends and the clock is running out........Bone Spurs has all this power...being backed into a corner now......he could do something really crazy........one last diaper needs to be changed and DJT need so go to prison.

Honestly? I hope that more people begin to recognize narcissistic abuse and find ways to get away from it. The only way to beat a narcissist is to ignore them, avoid them, and no contact. Otherwise, there are ways to deal with them, and you have to determine what works best in each situation. My advice to anyone who is being abused is to get out and away if you can. Then get counseling!

You are 100% correct. Going No Contact is the way to save yourself from NPD abuse. Fuck them.....save yourself. They are parasites that will suck the life out of you. Mike Pillow sold his soul for DT......his life is ruined....just one example.

NARP....Narcissti Abuse Recovery Program is a totally amazing online course that deals with NPD and heals a person fully.......this I know to be absolutly true.

I just realized every single contribution (tangible or not), when combined, it totally makes a difference. As we, the people, fight against this regime, we are handling them the mirror so they can see how weak and pathetic they are. We are majority against this regime. And justice (karma for sure) will be served.
