Meeting with Putin on American soil is the most absurd thing. He is a war criminal and we are rolling out the red carpet for him and not including our alley. This isn’t a diplomatic meeting, it’s to give Putin cover so he can continue slaughtering Ukrainians. Trump will say it was successful and want a prize for this.

Xplisset's avatar

James, you’re right man this isn’t diplomacy, it’s a photo op for a war criminal. And not just any war criminal no one who’s been indicted for stealing children and flattening cities. Rolling out the red carpet for him while freezing out our own allies? That’s not a meeting, that’s PR cover for Putin’s next move.

And you know exactly how Trump will spin it … “Mission Accomplished” banners in his head and a medal pinned on his own chest for “peace,” while Ukraine buries more of its people. That’s the con: hand Putin a stage, give yourself the credit, and leave everyone else to clean up the mess.

This isn’t just absurd, it’s dangerous. Because every time we normalize this, we’re teaching the next strongman how to skip the hard work of winning hearts and just buy the stage lights. www.xplisset.com

Narcissistic rage is a defensive reaction to perceived threats to a narcissist's self-esteem or sense of superiority. It's triggered by situations where their ego is challenged, and can manifest as intense anger, hostility, or even physical aggression. Common triggers include criticism, perceived disrespect, feeling ignored, or when their authority is challenged.

James, what most folks miss is that most countries in the world are signatories to the ICC (International Criminal Court). Since the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Putin, they all have an obligation to arrest him upon landing in their respective countries. Putin is boxed in with nowhere to go. The US is not a signatory to the ICC Treaty, unfortunately.

I too wish Trump is removed from office but we will still have the cult behind the curtain. The Heritage Foundation will continue pushing until our democracy is completely destroyed. Right now Project 2025 is 46% complete. Curtis Yarvin will continue influencing the next generation of MAGA per his latest interview. He believes we should be a kingdom. Vance is much worse. There are 144 Heritage members in Trump's cabinet including Vance. They would all have to disappear.

You can see their progress on Project 2025 https://www.project2025.observer/en.

Expand full comment
Bluesmurf's avatar

That just shows their progress - it doesn't show whether they have been successful or blocked or if something is working it's way through the courts. I can't find anyone who is actually tracking this at the moment - but I did find this on the AI Internet:

"Numerous aspects of the Project 2025 agenda have been challenged and blocked through various means, including legal action, according to The New York Times. Some notable instances include:

Gender-affirming care for minors: A federal judge has issued a preliminary injunction blocking the implementation of an executive order that sought to ban federal funds for gender-affirming care for individuals under 19.

Targeting of law firms: Executive orders imposing sanctions on specific law firms, including revoking security clearances and terminating government contracts, have been legally challenged, and some provisions have been blocked by court order.

Federal assistance freezes: An initial freeze on certain federal grants, loans, and assistance programs was blocked by a federal court, and the administration was ordered to reinstate the frozen funds.

Termination of probationary employees: A judge ordered the Office of Personnel Management to rescind memos directing the termination of probationary federal workers, deeming the action unlawful.

Cuts to small business grants: Federal court orders have blocked the Trump administration's freeze on federal small business grants, particularly those impacting minority and women-owned businesses.

Targeting the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA): The Supreme Court has curtailed the EPA's authority under the Clean Water Act, affecting its ability to issue pollutant discharge permits.

Birthright citizenship: Executive orders attempting to end birthright citizenship for children of non-citizens have been blocked by nationwide injunctions issued by multiple federal judges.

It is important to note that:

Legal challenges and lawsuits against the administration's actions are ongoing, and the ultimate outcome of many of these cases remains uncertain.

While some actions may be blocked temporarily, the administration could appeal these decisions or pursue alternative avenues to implement its agenda.

Resistance to Project 2025 also comes in various forms, including advocacy efforts, community organizing, and legislative efforts to counteract its proposals, according to the ACLU."

This may not be all of the things that have been blocked or are in litigation. So, even though those eejits are working their way through their project, not everything that they are doing is successful.
