And yet the two states that are highest in violent crime, especially murder, are Louisiana and Mississippi. Trump should focus on those states, but he won't, because this is all about politics. Trump is an extremely ineffective 'leader' - hate to use that word because he's essentially just a mob boss.
If they WOULD. They are the part of this that I most do not understand … I know they are putting party before country, but I don’t get why — to support NOT allowing Trump to get away with his shenanigans does NOT have to mean the Rs lose all power and voice. If they were still governing, instead of trying to RULE, they would have the voice they have always had … the give and take, the back and forth of ideas would continue.
But this All or Nothing, Newt Gingrich, Heritage Society, Project 2025 baloney is NOT governing.
If Republicans insist on an All or Nothing system, we have to let them have NOTHING.
The way I see it, the invasion of one state by another is a call to state Governors to mobilize their National Guards to resist unlawful assault. Also, the gerrymander fight is on. There is a new playbook. The old rules have been struck down by the Supreme Court. We need to change the gears here as fast as possible for deadly preemptive strikes. Newsom has moved out on this already. Who is next? Hochul. Where are you? Pritzker. What are you doing?

These protests need massive participation to give heart to those who don’t have a lot of support in their states, to those on the fence, to the fighters and resisters who are in the firehose. Post clear information whenever you can and rouse the opposition!

This is the second time in the past 7 months I have gotten very despondent and felt like giving up. The posts from Meidas Touch in the past two days have restored my faith again and I am ready to keep on fighting. I grew up in the 50's and 60's where patriotism and pride in my Country was a given.
