And I might add, please MAIL YOUR VOTING BALLOTS EARLY. The republicans have ruined the way the post office has historically stamped the mail they receive. The post stamp will not be stamped until our mail gets to the distribution center, which in some cases, show your mail to be late and your vote may not count because they are late.

Demand that it be post mark stamped at the desk when you hand deliver to the post office. This is legal and lawful according to expert sources.

Meidas Touch is garbage. 》Only focusing on the terrible things the Republican Party is doing and ignoring what the Democrats do makes you not all that different than the Trump cult. Speaking of which, getting rid of him and voting in democrats won’t solve anything. You liberals are not leftists, you're part of the problem. You Democrat supporters are incredibly ignorant and propagandized on many a topic.

》If you think the United States is a democracy or was one prior to Trump and/or that you can vote your way to a better country under the corrupt bourgeois power structure, then you're not only poorly educated, but delusional as well.

》Real leftists don't support the democratic party, Reformist/Trotskyist individuals and organizations, the US military and empire, NATO, No Kings, Mamdani, Bernie, AOC, mRNA's, etc. The fact of the matter is that getting rid of Trump and voting in democrats won't solve the problem. That of capitalism. Because you haven't developed the skill of critical media literacy, you always seem to assume that those who are reporting factual and educational material are they themselves lying because you simply don't know any better. Refer to the information I've collected on my website via my profile regarding the evils of capitalism. Start with the Dialectical Materialism page. While you're there, educate yourself on other topics as well.

》Lastly. In terms of the United States. We must never salute and show respect towards the American flag. The United States was founded on genocide and built with slavery, with the United States empire responsible for countless deaths. The American flag is soaked in blood. The only time to smile when in the presence of the flag is when it's on fire or being torn to shreds. When it comes to holidays like Independence Day, Memorial Day and Veterans Day, that they are not worth celebrating as they are about brainwashing people that the United States is a great country and reinforcing that lie for those who already believe it. These holidays, I would argue, are primarily about selling and reinforcing the lie that service to the United States military industrial complex somehow made the country and that of the world a better place. After you take the time to learn about the history of the United States and its actions, you'll hopefully come to the same conclusion that I have, which is that there is NOTHING honorable about choosing to be a pawn for the military industrial complex in service to the bourgeoisie, or capitalists if you prefer. The fact of the matter is that the United States bullies and terrorizes the rest of the world as it refuses to take care of its own citizens, because of this I can't help but look at the United States' flag in disgust. The ONLY time when it was acceptable to support the troops and that of the military was during WW2. That's it. But even then, the United States didn't win the war. The Soviet Union did. The United States just swooped in at the last minute to do some minor cleanup and took all the credit. Almost immediately after the dust settled, the bourgeoisie wasted no time in stabbing the Soviet Union in the back by spreading anti-communist propaganda to get the public to fear and hate everything that gave power and any resemblance of freedom and prosperity to the proletariat. Now, if you know someone who has "served" and was injured or killed. Don't get mad at me for speaking truth to power. Direct your anger towards the United States government for sending them off to die in a pointless war, conflict, or military operation that the United States instigated. Let me be absolutely clear. Although I disagree with Veterans and military personnel, in general, for their choice to be a willing pawn for the military industrial complex who I feel are undeserving of an honor, that does not mean I hate them. Unless they were participants in war crimes and are proud of slaughtering people, whether directly or indirectly, that's a different story. People who are proud of killing others who wish they could do it over and over again, those are sick and twisted individuals. That caveat aside, I believe everyone deserves to have their needs met with a government that actually cares about the well-being of people both here and abroad. In conclusion, the underlying reason for all these wars and conflicts is that the United States needs oil to back up the petro dollar. Without the dollars influence and buying power, the United States loses most, if not all, of its hegemony and economic stranglehold over others. So, basically, the problem is that of capitalism. With that said, though, by no means does that mean other countries are innocent in their foreign affairs, but the United States is by far the worst. It's not even a contest.

Copy/paste much?

Why come here lecturing? Spreading your discontent for America and our American democracy?

This is not the way.

I agree with parts of your rant, AND

When you say getting rid of one politician for another wont solve the problem, we'll of course you are right.

But for the one thing you don't seem to grasp, time wont stop,

And we can't just all agree on everything, then fix it all at once.

Life, democracy, its an ongoing process, we change what we can agree upon that needs change when we can.

Also,

There is a major difference between poor leadership/poor leadership decisions and a criminal set on destroying our entire way of life, just to make himself king of the world in his own eyes. (Just like all dictators)

In OUR country, we fought wars so we could create a way of life away from Tyranny just like 47th creates.

So, we the people, we press on. A perfect union is our goal.

Join the fight or move your ass out of the way!

I repeat myself because there's no point to make unique responses to every poorly informed person when one or two blunt and direct replies are good enough.

Furthermore. The fact I am repeating myself and you supporters of the corrupt bourgeois power structure and the evils of capitalism with everything that entails are still not getting it and refusing to educate yourselves proves that that problem lies with you.

I didn't share an opinion. I have put in the time to develop my critical media literacy and in doing so have escaped the peasant mindset. You haven't. Furthermore. Because I have invested so much time into learning about different things and collecting both factual and educational material on a variety of topics, I have earned the right to be pompous and arrogant. Lastly, as I said previousl, I didn't share an opinion. The criticism that I’m hiding behind a screen is childish and lazy. You're also wrong about my age, I’m much older, but age isn't important. What matters is ones willingness to learn and acknowledge when they are wrong about something.

Your argument that I need to be polite and confront people with kindness, that I need gently guide people to information is a lazy a d childish rebuttal. Either you care about the truth or you don't. It's that simple.

Calling someone like me who is a real leftist that of a bot and/or a right-winger only proves that you're poorly educated and propagandized on many a topic.

Dear Angry,

You can Word Vomit all you want about the past. We, here, are concerned with the present and the future. Previous two administrations saw our country from two polar opposite perspectives. Early on, your asininely self-absorbed #45 closed the government causing pain to tens of thousands with his toddler tantrum about “his wall”, no longer funded by Mexico as he promised but with poached dollars from other programs. Just a fountain of lies spewing from a mouth fueled by his helter-skelter mind with no concern of the consequences of his words. His narcissism allowed our country to suffer tens of thousands of needless deaths because he was terrified of losing a second term if voters blamed him for the pandemic. So he “played it down”, called it a Democratic hoax designed to make him look bad, refused to wear a mask and told citizens to storm their state capitals to threaten governors enforcing lockdowns. The same guy could not bear the humiliation of being defeated in the 2020 election and did everything possible to prove his errant lies including a call for insurrection on Jan 6. Judges (appointed by #45 who happily promised to help overturn Roe v. Wade) did just that, criminalizing abortion and trashing women’s heath and autonomy. The list of catastrophic fallout went on and on.

President #46 was sworn in and inherited a shit storm. And you know what? He and a functioning Congress and educated, experienced and capable appointees guided us out of a pandemic. They gave us the best economic recovery of any nation on earth. Unemployment rate lowered years before expected and among all demographics. Record numbers of small businesses created. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law financed more than just roads and bridges repairs. Green energy, climate controls, pollution prevention and other constructive legislations enacted. Oppressive student loans were forgiven. He signed into law the protections for same-sex and interracial marriages. #46 stood with striking auto workers as a stand with organized labor. His administration was successful in the lowering of many prescription drugs. A sharp contrast to his predecessor, I would say AND ABSOLUTELY AS NOW COMPARED TO HIS SUCCESSOR..

SO TO YOU MY DEAR ANGRY ARE YOU ABLE TO SEE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NUMBER 45 AND 46. The answer is easy. SELFISH vs SELFLESS.

I cannot even begin to expound on the #47 REVENGE TOUR that began January 20, 2025. A physically weakened and absolutely mentally challenged wannabe autocrat is now going to enter his second year of his second term while concerned only with his own wealth and power and agenda and damned be all who stand in his way or who do not meet his approval. Sad for the country and the world that the lineup of persons and entire populations offensive to the high standards of this bully and his minions tallies in the millions. Millions he believes do not deserve health, safety, happiness or help from our government. A certified liar, a convicted felon and a just plain angry old man who just can’t accept responsibility for his errors. Democracy is a word we “liberals” use to describe the goal of this young nation. A path to a better and fairer future for all who live on this planet. I guess you disagree.

AGAIN, I ASK YOU, “CAN YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE AND WHY WE, THE ANTI-TRUMPERS, CAN DESPISE THE MAN AND THE CULT HE CREATED WHO OPENLY, DANGEROUSLY AND HATEFULLY ARE BENT ON DESTROYING RATHER THAN CONTINUING TO BUILD THAT COUNTRY CONCEIVED IN THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE AND IN OUR CONSTITUTION? THIS IS NOT A BLURRY VISUAL. THE DIFFERENCE IS CRYSTAL CLEAR. NOT THE DECADES OF GRIEVANCE YOU POST ABOUT BUT THE ABSOLUTE POSSIBILITY TO AN AUTOCRACY ARISING FROM THE MUSINGS OF AN EVIL MAN AND HIS SOON TO BE UNNECESSARY AND CAST ASIDE PARTY OF ENABLERS AND GOONS, A MAN WHO LUSTS FOR A KINGDOM, WHO CRAVES ADORATION AND FEALTY AND WHO WILL BEND OR BREAK ANY RULES OR LAWS HE DISLIKES. Maybe that is the future that YOU are hoping for. Trust me, you won’t love it. And is most certainly not the future that any of us liberal, pedophile, tree huggers want. THAT IS THE REASON MEIDAS WAS CREATED AND WHY IT IS GROWING BIGGER AND STRONGER EVERY DAY and one day you may even be grateful we saved your ass along with ours. No thanks necessary and in the glorious words of a sleepless #47, “Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

Funny cause I was a Republican turned Democrat in 2017. I am not arguing any of your points. I am just offering a vision of two choices for this country. We can attempt to build up for everyone even if sometimes the progress is flawed OR we can continue to silently watch the tearing down of norms, rules of law, Federal buildings and the promise of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It is a RIGHT NOW issue and clear as could be. If the current admin reflects your pursuit of happiness then good for you but for a majority of this country it is not working for us and it certainly isn’t working for me.

Bacon Issues Statement on Venezuela Strikes and Capture of Nicolás Maduro

Omaha, Neb. – Rep. Don Bacon (R, NE-02) issued the following statement regarding the recent strikes in Venezuela and capture of Nicolás Maduro:

“Maduro and his predecessor took Venezuela from the richest to the poorest country in South America, and destroyed its democracy. The operations last night are great for the future of Venezuelans and the region. My main concern now is that Russia will use this to justify their illegal and barbaric military actions against Ukraine, or China to justify an invasion of Taiwan. Freedom and rule of law were defended last night, but dictators will try to exploit this to rationalize their selfish objectives.”

Bacon, Fitzpatrick, Meeks, & Bipartisan Colleagues Advance New ‘Peace Through Strength’ Sanctions on Russia Toward January Floor Action

Washington, December 19, 2025

Bacon, Fitzpatrick, Meeks, & Bipartisan Colleagues Advance New ‘Peace Through Strength’ Sanctions on Russia Toward January Floor Action

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Representatives Don Bacon (R, NE-02), Brian Fitzpatrick (R, PA-01), and Gregory Meeks (D, NY-5) led a broad bipartisan coalition of House Members to introduce the Peace Through Strength Against Russia Act of 2025, comprehensive legislation that translates ongoing negotiations into decisive congressional action and advances the bill toward House Floor consideration in January.

Co-leads on the bill include Representatives Mike Turner (OH-10), Tom Suozzi (NY-3), Mike Lawler (NY-17), Steny Hoyer (MD-5), and Marcy Kaptur (OH-9), reflecting broad, bipartisan agreement that Congress must lead with resolve as diplomatic efforts continue.

“Putin’s regime only responds to resolve and takes advantage of weakness and vacillation. During these failed negotiations, Russia has continued bombing Ukrainian cities with increasing intensity. We must play hardball by sending Ukraine the weapons it needs and imposing tough sanctions on Russia that cripple his war economy, an approach Americans overwhelmingly agree with,” said Rep. Bacon. “I’m pleased to join Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick in co-leading the bipartisan Peace Through Strength Against Russia Act to impose sanctions and other measures if Russia refuses to negotiate a peace agreement with Ukraine.”

“Negotiations do not relieve Congress of its responsibility to act,” said Rep. Fitzpatrick. “That responsibility has been clear for some time, and waiting is no longer an option. Peace through strength is the discipline of negotiating from strength—of standing with Ukraine, making unmistakably clear that Russia’s campaign of aggression will not be normalized or rewarded, and affirming that America still enforces the rules that keep peace possible. This is not just about ending one war. It is about setting the rules for a world that is watching whether America still enforces them. I am grateful to be working hand in hand with Ranking Member Meeks to push any and all solutions forward to the House Floor, including the Ukraine Support Act. We can end this war. We can end Putin’s tyranny. And we must lead the American way—through peace, through strength.”

“Russia won't negotiate an end to its war unless real pressure is applied on the Kremlin to stop its brutality. I'm proud to have worked with Rep. Fitzpatrick on a compromise Russia sanctions bill that would impose real costs on Russia and those fueling its war effort, while avoiding further harmful global tariffs. I thank Rep. Fitzpatrick for also signing my discharge petition for the Ukraine Support Act, helping work towards both measures reaching the House floor for a vote. There is strong bipartisan support for Ukraine in the House, and this agreement makes clear that Russia cannot wait it out or continue its war of aggression without facing significant consequences,” said Rep. Meeks.

“The only viable path to peace in Ukraine is putting pressure on the Kremlin. It is beyond important that both sides of the aisle have come together on compromise legislation to impose strong sanctions on Russia for its illegal war of aggression as well as to take additional steps to move the bipartisan discharge petition for the Ukraine Support Act forward in the House,” said HFAC Subcommittee on Europe Ranking Member Keating. “As Ukraine continues to defend itself from Russian aggression, the Ukrainian people must know that Ukraine has strong bipartisan support in the House of Representatives. The Kremlin must also know that we will not rest until a durable Ukraine-supported peace deal is achieved.”

“We must take firm action against the Russian Federation. This bill sends a clear message: any refusal to engage in meaningful negotiations for peace or any violation of agreements will not go unpunished. We stand with Ukraine and affirm our commitment to ensuring that they are protected from further aggression. It's time for diplomacy,” said Rep. Turner.

“Russia’s unprovoked war against Ukraine is a direct assault on sovereignty, democracy, and the international rules-based order. The United States will not reward aggression or allow Vladimir Putin to stall, violate agreements, or prepare for another invasion without serious consequences. Peace will only come when Russia understands that continued violence carries real costs. I’m proud to cosponsor this legislation to strengthen sanctions, hold bad actors accountable, and stand firmly with the Ukrainian people,” said Rep. Lawler.

“Peace through strength means standing up to dictators through actions, not just words," said Rep. Suozzi. "The Peace Through Strength Against Russia Act does exactly that by cracking down on those responsible for the kidnapping of Ukrainian children, increasing sanction pressure on Russia, and expanding sanctions to Russian partners in North Korea. I'm proud to stand with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to say that the United States will not tolerate Putin's murderous war in Ukraine, and will defend our democratic allies across the world."

Real leftists don't support the democratic party, Reformist/Trotskyist individuals and organizations, the US military and empire, NATO, No Kings, Mamdani, Bernie, AOC, mRNA's, etc. The fact of the matter is that getting rid of Trump and voting in democrats won't solve the problem. That of capitalism. The US was a terrible country long before Trump, nor was the United States a democracy before him, either. This is the harsh reality of it all, which is that the United States can be considered the following: an oligarchy, a corporatocracy, an inverted totalitarianism system, a gerontocracy, a kakistocracy, a kleptocracy, and/or a techno feudalist society. But It is not a democracy, nor is it a republic. Moreover, in a 2014 Princeton Study, it showed that public opinion has a “near-zero” impact on U.S. law. Furthermore, it's important to note that the constitution isn't designed to serve the people as a whole. 📕 Book Recommendation: We the Elites: Why the US Constitution Serves the Few by Robert Ovetz. — The thing is, liberalism, which you support goes hand in hand with Fascism which you claim to oppose, but you don't. You Democrat supporters are poorly informed and propagandized on many a topic. Unlike you liberals, I have factual and educational material. Moreover, because you haven't developed the skill of critical media literacy, you always seem to assume that those who are reporting factual and educational material are they themselves lying because you simply don't know any better. Only focusing on the terrible things the Republican Party is doing and ignoring what the Democrats do makes you not all that different than the Trump cult. Refer to the information I've collected on my website via my profile regarding the evils of capitalism. Start with the Dialectical Materialism page. While you're there, educate yourself on other topics as well. Oh, and stop assuming and calling everyone a Trump supporter who disagrees with and knows more than you. It's incredibly childish.

Just looked at some of your posts and one in particular intrigues me.

My question to you is; if you’re so down on democrats and a media network that brings us the facts backed by receipts, and you agree with me that America is failing to do anything of substance to remove this regime, WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT IT?

Trump and Hegseth have now committed more war crimes, attacking Venezuela without Congress approval. CONGRESS DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS ROGUE SO CALLED PRESIDENT, CONGRESS DO YOUR JOB, otherwise you won't have a country left to govern.

Trump has totally destroyed America's reputation in the world.

And is destroying the lifes of Americans. Trump and his administration have gone rogue. CONGRESS SORT THIS OUT.

Getting rid of Trump and voting in democrats won’t solve anything. Furthermore. If a Democrat were in office, you liberals would be supporting every atrocity here and abroad as all of you are ignorant and propagandized hypocrites who love everything provided a Democrat is the one selling it to you.
