Roughly 80% of Google's revenue and 98% of FB's revenue stream is generated by advertising. There are instructions for doing this ironically on Google.

I will email the company about my utter disgust. I know Cook has sold his soul to protect the company from Trump’s wrath. But this is a direct attack on democracy.
