Yes, I started realizing just how biased the news was about 20 years ago. I was visiting my parents who lived near Tampa. The local news was filled with news of crime committed by black and brown people. Stories that created fear about them, all spoken from the white faces on the screen. I am white and I also knew that there were crimes much worse being committed by white guys in Tampa. But those stories were glossed over AND never showed pictures or video of the white guys, just names. The message was clear to me, fear the black and brown people. I watched my father continually complain about black and brown people, how we should be afraid, they are less than. Although the neighbors he could depend on, who showed up, who were true friend to them were black. If I pointed it out, I was told to get off my soapbox. This has been the pattern for longer than I can remember.

The logistics for a US National march or even a strike or boycott are MUCH more complicated that almost any European nation. Texas and Alaska are each larger than any EU nation, and many other states are larger that most European countries. We would almost need an organizer in every state. Not impossible, but certainly a very large undertaking.
