Let me start by thanking our subscribers to this Substack.
MeidasTouch has zero investors, and we’ve grown to be the most viewed digital news network in the United States—even beating Fox—thanks to you.
We need your help so we can stay number one, so please subscribe now to this Substack if you haven’t done so yet.
Let me explain the stakes.
Yesterday, I hosted a special edition of the MeidasTouch Podcast where we exclusively distributed a press conference by the top Democrats on the Budget Committee, who gave detailed presentations on why the budget bill was so bad. There was no yelling or performative BS. It was just a data-filled presentation that people need right now, especially as Trump seeks to distract us all.
The press conference was exclusively hosted by MTN, and it is on its way to 1 million views and downloads on YouTube and audio in just 24 hours.
That’s the power of what you’ve built by becoming a subscriber to this Substack.
We’ve built the infrastructure to get out the information that corporate news refuses to cover—and we can get it out to far more people than they can now.
When I talk about “views” beating Fox and cable news, and our audio podcast downloads beating Joe Rogan, it’s not to boast about the numbers for the sake of being competitive (although I am competitive). It’s to highlight the impact you are having and that your subscriptions to this Substack are having. The impact is real and traceable to your subscriptions. (Add the MeidasTouch Podcast on Apple Podcasts and Spotify to keep this momentum going.)
Whether it’s covering the protests, the rallies by Democrats, the shadow hearings, Governor Newsom’s address to the nation, the Democratic Budget Committee address, or other major news events—we’ve used our reach to pioneer the type of coverage people actually want to hear.
When we created MeidasTouch, it was important that we remained independent. It was important we stood on values and principles instead of political gamesmanship. It was important that we listened to the people and what they were going through to deliver programming that people want to see and hear.
People are fed up with how cable news covers things. People may like manufactured drama when it comes to fictional movies—but not when it comes to news that affects their lives.
People want to be told the truth and be given accurate and timely data to protect and empower themselves, their families, and their communities.
I would describe the MeidasTouch Network coverage as innovative and not derivative of cable news.
We are leaders—not followers—in coverage.
We set the tone and the agenda.
We control the narrative because we are more than just a network. We are a people-powered movement dedicated to preserving, protecting, and defending democracy.
So on milestone days like yesterday, where we host an innovative press conference and redefine news distribution, it fills me with pride to tell you that we are able to do all of this because of you and your subscriptions here on this Substack.
I also know we are constantly under attack from Trump, his MAGA supporters, and Fox. We know our competition is funded by right-wing billionaires who want to crush us and silence us. So I know I’ve got to keep building the MeidasTouch Network by encouraging subscriptions to this Substack.
It’s with a sense of pride that I try my best to rally our readers here to become subscribers, since I know it unlocks the full potential of our network.
I wake up every day knowing the importance of building this independent network brick by brick with you.
I hope you liked the press conference we did on the budget bill yesterday with the top Democrats on the Budget Committee, and all of our coverage recently.
If you think we are meeting the moment at the MeidasTouch Network, we would absolutely love for you to subscribe to this Substack now and help us continue to grow.
If you can’t subscribe, please try to encourage others you know to subscribe and to check out the MeidasTouch Network on YouTube and across our social media and digital platforms.
Proud to be a subscriber! Grateful to have you! Carry on💪🏼
Thank you Meidas 🫶🏽
