I agree. This has felon 47’s fingerprints all over it. And this behavior is going to continue to escalate. Wanting to be a supreme commander, felon 47 will rail against every perceived slight and try to dictate his desired outcome. We are already now onto the Washington Commanders and maybe even the Cleveland Guardians. And as CBS seems to have found out, the list of grievances are/will be endless. And once you step out with the devil your dance card is filled

Love that saying "once you step out with the devil, your dance card is filled." Sounds like it should be the warning of the day.

Trump claiming that the Kamala Harris interview caused him "emotional distress " is so ridiculous. Every politician running for public office ought to expect criticism. It's part of the business of being a political figure.

I have seen absolutely disgusting comments about Harris, the Obamas and other Democratic politicians.

They don't sue.

Judy Cross's avatar

Just remember that this boy needs to line his pockets with more and more money and can't take any criticism at all. He's the failure in the room and thinks that if he cries "they don't like me" everyone will be his best Bud. Well, he did have one of those. I think his name was Jeffrey Epstein. Birds of a feather, flock together.

Pat Sevigny's avatar

Yet that boy will lose that money very very quickly. Expose him.

Judy Cross's avatar

Expose and then have all those girls sue him for everything he has.

Remember the main reason he ran for President, was to escape prosecución! It’s worked for him so far!

Thinking of the Epstein files and the probability of Trump begin in it, and forgive me this thought: there's a completely other digit all over this ... 🙃

Dang! How sweet & thoughtful of you!!I wish ONE of my ex husbands would've said that to me. But now you know why they're ex's!!! Thanks, JoAnne. You just made me feel valued.

I have really enjoyed and admired CBS Sunday Morning since its inception. I will miss it most of all.

Thank you so much! Especially speaking on Colbert. My husband and I watched Stephen C. Nightly. I was crushed twice last week - my husband passed away on July 5th after over 30 yrs together. One of the joys that remained in remembrance of our times together was being able to watch Colbert. Soon after, hearing that Colbert was being snatched off the air, my heart, once again received a jolt knowing that after May of 2026, this collaborative joy my husband and I experienced will no longer be.

I’m so grateful we have the Meidastouch - sharing truth and compassion. Thank you

My sincerest condolences to you. I lost my brother in May and every time we spoke he always talked about Stephen Colbert, and how much he loved listening to him. I am appalled at this regime.

I’m so so sorry for your loss. Sending lots of love, hugs, and prayers to you. ❤️

Wow! Sorry for your loss, Denise! Welcome home,. here!!

My condolences for your loss. Sept will mark 12 years since I lost my partner suddenly just 3 days after our 35th anniv. The profound grief is much like a severe physical injury. The acute pain when first injured slowly diminishes as I healed, but I expect twinges of pain to linger forever, sometimes still prompting tears, but my heart redirects to happy memories. I hope you find solace in the decades you shared.

My condolences on the loss of your husband. Some say loss & grief gets easier as time passes, but it doesn’t. Take care and you are not alone!🥰

So sorry for your loss. I do think though that Stephen Cobert will be around somewhere after May 2026. Maybe here. Take care.

I agree 💯with you Ben and thanks so much for all the relentless hard work you guys are doing. I love to check in through out the day and see what you are reporting. Keep it up😊

Your assessment makes sense, Ben. I wholeheartedly agree with your statement that independent media is crucial in disseminating the truth to the public. Also, I want to thank you for your interview with Michael DiSabato yesterday, who was victimized in the Ohio State University sex abuse scandal, the story depicted in the recently released documentary, Surviving Ohio State. Jim Jordan needs to be held to account for his failure to disclose the abuse by Dr. Strauss. Male sexual victimization is a highly unreported crime. This documentary goes a long way in describing why. Thank you for shining a light on this crime and supporting its victims.

I hope Stephen Colbert joins the Midas Touch. Thank you for informing us and my heart is broken for Stephen Colbert. I love watching his show. I would watch him wherever he goes.

Trumps joy at this should tell everyone what's going on, Trump is only happy when HE is inflicting pain on someone!!

DonOld wants to run the world like a mob boss. He's starting in his own little corner called the US. So far, it appears to be working for him via corporate and business . MeidasTouch and we the people aren't so easily pushed down. He may have met his Waterloo in Rupert. That's one shove and threat too many. Thanks for using your voice, standing up truth to power, and opening the door to Colbert.

PeachBlossom's avatar

I'll believe that Rupert has the upper hand when I see it, that is, until he DOESN'T settle with the orange menace.

Cecilia Rodriguez Griffin's avatar

I’m so proud of you, Jordy and Brett! I taped the show with Nicolle Wallace on MSNBC and watched it yesterday. MTN is leading the way and showing others how to succeed as an independent news source. Thank you for being here for us!

Julie's avatar

Honestly Ben I don’t know how you keep your sanity with all that is going on. I believe you are probably correct, sherry redstone just wants to please the regime at any cost…fucked up

ROBERT E RICH's avatar

I agree with others that this action is not about money nor is it about "emotional stress." Since when havre his "feelings" have been hurt but his pocketbook been rewarded?

Fraser's avatar

Yes Robert! His comment at the G7 that "Putin's feeling were hurt" shows his emotional deviance in yet another commonly understood phrase for normal folk!

Leanne's avatar

Thanks for the update Ben.

What about Scott Pelley too?

Jane Gutsell's avatar

How Scott quit or been fired?

Leanne's avatar

No. But he's been strongly speaking out against the events at CBS. Most recently at a commencement speech he gave.

Jane Gutsell's avatar

Thanks, Jasmine. I hope he will jump ship onto a less restrictive platform. Am really surprised that Leslie Stahl, the veteran, has stayed. The fall season will be interesting.

I can’t believe these networks are throwing away some of their best talent. Since I’ve been a streaming person only for several years now YouTube is my go to, so I’m pretty happy to see these people that are let go come to YouTube. Of course I think it sucks that network folded for Trump, but from a selfish point of view…..🤷🏻‍♀️. I love Meidas Touch, maybe their (CBS) loss is your gain! I’ll be watching.

K Brady's avatar

F*ck that orange turd! Colbert should run for office. That’s my opinion.

Timothy Richley's avatar

Corporate Media(ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN) are small companies, owned by Mega-corporations who are all needing FedGov approval for something that will make the Mega-Corporations shareholders even wealthier than they already are. they have been sane washing TACO for a couple of years now, and as far as I can tell, their bending the knee has accomplished nothing at all.

Carole Langston's avatar

Politics is a quagmire. No. Colbert needs to power on until May. Let er rip Stephen. Make 🍊 A$$ apoplectic four nights a week. You know he'll see it. I am seething about that Smarmbag relishing Colbert's dismissal and wanting to see Kimmel's demise too. Has Kimmel reacted publically? Colbert will find a new outlet. He will regroup. 👍

Catherine Voight's avatar

Blindsided as part of the Trump deal. Pretty obvious and of course CBS will lie.
