Love the response since NBC, ABC, and CBS are not doing much of anything. Ben, when in the world do you sleep? You do two shows with your brothers, a show with Popock, videos all day, and you teach law school.

And we need to let those news networks what we think of them. I don't know if they care about losing viewers or getting any back but at least we can tell them what we think of them. I'd like to think there are still a few news anchors or what ever they like to call themselves that deep in their hearts still want to be journalists rather than mere actors that are too sheepish to call out trump and who even praise their co worker who publishes a book about Biden while they all ignore trump's cognitive decline and inability to speak in complete sentences and even make one a good economic decision... as someone said Biden covered up health concerns with four years of a booming economy, expanding rights, recognizing Native American culture, showing kindness to all, having the respect of the entire world). But I don't think there are any of those kinds of news anchors anymore except Rachel Maddow and Chris Hayes

At the same time that he looks crazy, Trump's raking it in at taxpayer expense. He and his families have allegedly made billiions since the election.

As he "bargains" over tariffs, new Trump properties pop up.Beyond alleged violations of the emoulments clause is the potential theft of the entire national treasury.

I hope that the Dems are tracking Trump’s financial activities on a daily basis.

I wonder whether a public financial reporting service, a hedge fund, a mutual fund or an ETF tracks Trump's daily actions and invests accordingly.

If so, let the rest of us know……

So sad that not one Republican member of Congress cares about any of this..indeed they support it. I can't imagine that every single one of them is somehow getting a piece of the pie but maybe so.

I'm sure some are losers. Check out cow country -- almost all of the Congressional Republicans have lost their markets, prices dropped, government subsidies ended, etc. When SNAP is cut, the farmers who supply it lose bigly. Medicaid cuts will kill hospitals, devistate rural economies.

Members who trade have to file reports every month.

There are rural midwest areas whose hospitals having been closing for years and the drive for medical care is absurd. The repuglicans there do not care.Check out Jess Pipers substack and you will get full details on what she is trying to do as democrat. She explains the issues and how long it has been going on

Well said, and good advice! I'm in south central Missouri, the poorest district in the state and my congressman loves the entire trump agenda and does not care about the rural hospitals (I think he only lost one the last time trump was in power but may be more this time) Jess Piper is great! Also Michele Hornish and her small deeds emails as well as their Blue Missouri group.

That is an interesting thought about the Republicans in cow country and other farmers. Also I think I saw an interview where a GOP Senator or Congressman from maybe Wisconsin or Minnesota was sort of pleading with Canada to stop their boycott of the US and start sending his state energy again. As seems to be so typical of Republicans, he didn't get that this is not a boycott, that other nations are making deal with each other and are never coming back to the US in the magnitude they did before trump. A boycott I think implies once the situation is changed or rectified things go back to how they were. Likewise with Target. I think no matter what they do (which I don't think they are doing anything about their DEI policies) a lot of previous customers are just not going to go back.

I hope someone is somehow keeping a record/video of all the times Mike Johnson says in an interview I don't know anything about that...along with how many times Susan Collins says something like "That's concerning" and then votes however trump tells her to.

Ben, I loved how you called the crypto-dinner items “gross” in your best middle-school-cafeteria sneer. Like FDR, I’m glad you can play, at least momentarily! Fun fact: The white object on the plate next to the morsel of icky steak was halibut. Trump cheaped out his billionaire guests by substituting halibut for lobster on what was announced to them as “surf ‘n turf”!

I would have thought trump’s version of surf and turf would be a Big Mac and Filet o Fish from Mcd’s!

Funny! P.S. My husband guffawed when I told him about your McD’s “surf ‘n turf”!

I was surprised that the crypto-meal wasn’t cold fast food, as Trump proudly presented to athletes, like the Clemson champions who so politely side-eyed it. The legacy butlers at the White House must have cried, trying to arrange that dreck as attractively as they could on heirloom platters.

Ben: a suggestion. Please consider adding MAPS to the reporting. Putting stories in context also very much need the geography. Even if the story - or perhaps even more needed - if the story is in the States. And for sure on any international story could you show maps? Current and historical maps could add a lot. I'd rather a map than a clip of donald = smiling!

Nice! How do you make a living being a map junkie? Serious question. I'll add this: on Texas Paul's show he often shows maps and the response is so positive. Before retiring as an English teacher in France I would show an outline map of the USA and have my students (graduate level !) write the cities and states they knew of; then place them on the outline map. Well, D.C. was near Florida; Frisco was near LA, Chicago was in Utah, etc! Sadly, I've seen (urban myth or not) that many Americans can barely find their own state on a map! And, of course, so many people from anywhere put Paris on the French Riviera... I love maps and so hope MTN could include more of them!!! Thanks for your comment and rock on Leslie! From France.

Greetings to you and France, Linda! I should have said that my son is an executive at a San Francisco map company whose name eludes me, but it’s second only to Google Maps. The CEO refuses to call the Gulf of Mexico the “Gulf of America.”

Your map idea is solid in part because Americans are indeed very dim about where things are, and Ben loves to bring the details. As you can imagine, we’re all sick over here of seeing Trump and hearing his voice. (His niece Dr. Mary Trump alters his voice to Daffy Duck cadence on her podcasts.)

Let MTN show us where Trump’s actions take effect. I had to look up exactly where Kviv is, two years ago when President Biden took that darkened ten-hour train trip to meet publicly in Kviv with Zelenskyy. In time, when the focus shifts rightfully to Trump’s dementia—Biden is only aging—people will remember that trip fondly. As a D.C. resident, Jake Tapper offends me personally with his Joe Scarborough-like truckling to Trump. I never met Joe S., but Tapper was a one-time nursery-school-parent hallway acquaintance.
