We must work diligently to get through this as we wait for November 3 and election results and January 3 2027 when we work to restore our country.
I think work is the operable word here...let's make sure not one voter is sucked into the belief they don't have to vote because all the polls show a blue wave or that it's going to be too dangerous to go to a poll with all the ICE agents and who ever there with guns and the desire to arrest any person of color. I think there's lots of info "out there" that can give us direction on how to do this and we sure need to use that info.

The new government rule of the game is secrecy and obscurity. In authoritarian regimes quashing free speech and not being up front with WE the People is how things are done. The US isn't heading toward authoritarian rule, it is IN and under authoritarian rule. Freedoms are being trampled on(MSNOW, CNN, Politico not to mention the AP and Colbert among others) and the dictator said yesterday that he can do anything he wants, not in jest, even your right to fish. Then there’s the Kennedy Center and all the photo banners of Der Fuhrer on federal buildings around DC. And like all good dictators Cheeto has his billionaire oligarchs.
This should be the in between the lines message to all voters in this election season because it won’t be covered by MSM. Gil Duran’s The Nerd Reich is an important message to pinpoint the billionaire problem. Make his $$ irrelevant in the election process is to take out one of his pillars of support. And join an Indivisible chapter or start your own to make our collective voice heard on Oct 17th in order to mobilize a record massive voter turnout. It happened in Hungary and it can happen here as well.
International comparisons do not put the US anywhere near the top of the world's strongest democracy. The only way we can gain ground is if the PEOPLE vote and if the House and the Senate and the Presidency become the people's once again.

“In the report released on Tuesday, the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) describes the US as the “most prominent example and accelerator” of the trend, warning that its democratic erosion is having consequences far beyond the country’s borders.”
Trump would likely be very pleased, as the primary “agent” of trickle down crime.

And this is exactly what the Republican party wants so we have to work extra hard to make sure there is a blue wave. A quote attributed to Thomas Jefferson, but he may not have said is "We do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate". It is us to us to make sure everyone who wants a change, everyone who wants a democracy votes this time. I don't think at this time we can win elections by talking about philosophy or the demise of democracy but rather we have to focus on what the GOP has done...they have a proven record and what the Dems will do (an include specific plans, no "concepts").
Re: The strategic petroleum reserves. I’m waiting for the strategic reserves to be drawn down to a minimum allowance and then see how that affects the gas prices at the pumps. No one is talking about this. It’ll be a real shock if it occurs.
The SPR has already been drawn down past the 300,000 barrels that were said to be the minimum allowance. The reason for the 300,000 limitation is that withdrawing any more than that could cause the salt caverns where they are kept to COLLAPSE. And yet Trump continues to draw it down because without using those reserves the prices would be even higher.

i appreciate the written reports very much, as i am no longer opening anything with HIS name or image on it. I've heard from many friends they can't watch the youtube videos for that very reason - And that HE is just the circus act keeping everyone distracted -he is a symptom & certifiably insane & we all know it already - what we really ought to be talking about are all those who are aiding & abetting him & how to hold them accountable, because most care about how they are perceived because it affects their power base or profit margins.
