MESSAGE FROM MEIDASTOUCH FOUNDER
Good morning, everyone. It’s great to be with you at the start of this week.
What we are witnessing right now is a level of volatility, uncertainty, and pain inflicted by the Trump regime that is entirely an unforced error. We’re going to cover every step of it here on the MeidasTouch Network.
There is obviously a very high risk of escalation involving Iran right now. The reality is that this entire charade surrounding the Strait of Hormuz has exposed the weakness of Donald Trump and his regime on the global stage. I think many people were waiting to see whether Trump’s trip to China would result in some actual agreement or meaningful diplomatic breakthrough after his meeting with Xi Jinping. Instead, there was no real deal on anything. That’s exactly what we expected.
What the world saw was weakness.
For those who have been following Trump closely, none of this was surprising. But for many others, watching Trump fail so publicly on the international stage was eye-opening. And frankly, it was unforgettable.
The latest YouGov/CBS poll now has Trump’s approval rating at just 37 percent which is the lowest ever recorded for him in that poll. He remains the least popular president in modern American history, and I believe those numbers are only going to continue getting worse.
We’ve been discussing on the MeidasTouch Network the escalatory trap Trump has created for himself. And let me be clear: if Trump attacks Iran, I believe the consequences for our country and the region will be catastrophic. There is no bombing campaign that fixes this. There is no magical military solution here. At some point, diplomacy and concessions are going to have to happen. That is the reality created when Trump mishandled this situation so badly.
Meanwhile, the signs of escalation across the region continue to grow.
We’ve reported extensively on the MeidasTouch Network that a nuclear-related facility in the UAE was reportedly struck by drones. A nuclear facility in Israel reportedly exploded over the weekend, with officials bizarrely claiming it was somehow a “pre-planned” controlled event despite reports and imagery that raised serious questions. Saudi Arabia says it intercepted drone attacks. An oil depot in Venezuela exploded. An MQ-9 Reaper drone was shot down in the Middle East.
These are major developments. Yet corporate media barely discusses any of it.
Whether these events are being attributed to Iran, or whether some of them are being used as false flag pretexts to justify broader military escalation by Trump and allied regimes in the region, the public deserves extensive and honest coverage. That’s exactly what we’re going to continue providing here on the MeidasTouch Network.
And at the very same time, the Trump regime appears to be laying the groundwork for a new manufactured crisis involving Cuba.
Axios, which has increasingly acted like state-regime media for Trump on issues involving Iran and foreign policy, suddenly pushed a story claiming Cuba now possesses hundreds of drones that could allegedly threaten Florida. Then, almost immediately, MAGA Republicans began repeating coordinated talking points claiming Cuba poses an “existential threat.”
It’s the same playbook over and over again.
The United States imposes crushing policies and blockades on Cuba, isolates the Cuban people, and then allows adversaries like Russia and China to move into that vacuum. Meanwhile, Trump blocked humanitarian efforts from allies like Mexico and Canada while simultaneously creating the exact conditions he now points to as justification for further escalation.
And when you’re dealing with a weapon-of-mass-distraction like Trump, it’s hard not to see how one manufactured crisis quickly becomes the setup for another.
We’re also seeing this predatory behavior elsewhere.
Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry, whom Trump has bizarrely referred to as an envoy to Greenland, just traveled there and reportedly attempted to pressure and intimidate local populations. It is deeply disturbing to watch the United States increasingly behave like a coercive regime abroad.
And look, I’ll share something personal as well.
This is my birthday week. I turn 41 tomorrow. Today is also my wedding anniversary with my wife. So while this is a week filled with serious news and serious fights for democracy, it’s also a reminder to me about gratitude, family, and why these fights matter in the first place.
I’m grateful to spend this week with all of you. I’m grateful to fight alongside you every single day. And I’m grateful that together we continue building the fastest-growing independent news network in the world.
Please subscribe right now if you can. It truly helps us continue growing this network and competing against the corporate and state-regime media machine.
Thanks, everybody.
