Since everyone seems to be ignoring judges, let's ignore Aileen Cannon.

Dave carolus's avatar

Yeah you’re right

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

Why not conflict of interest impeachment? "[The] impeachment and removal of judges is in fact rare and usually limited to grave ethical or criminal misconduct such as perjury, fraud, or conflicts of interest." Brennan Center 23-Mar-18 https://tinyurl.com/2d7zs8vs

Trump keeps doing it so Jack Smith should just go ahead but I somehow think he might not because he is an honorable man.

"With both the defendants and the government aligned against disclosure, the order effectively shields the report from public scrutiny." Let's not be too hasty now. There's always 'The Leakers'...and THAT scenario would really be a cannonball across the bow of the pirate-ship MAGA. ARRRRR.

Robot Bender's avatar

I'd rather see it as a torpedo right in the engine room of that pedo-pirate ship.

Laurie Blair's avatar

If only! That would be truly Great

Phgladko's avatar

My thoughts exactly. Since no one wants to follow the rules of law, since bondi thinks it's ok to lie under oath, release the report, screw it.

"Always the victim, Trump said today, “I suffer for the country.” I hope you didn’t eye roll so hard that your eyes got stuck in the back of your head after that one." Actually, I feel like I am CONSTANTLY trying to get my eyes unstuck!! But WAY TO GO for the women's hockey team!

DJT_1946-2025's avatar

Oh, he KNOWS why. He just doesn't care. He wants to be loved by the people he's royally screwing over, and yes….that's DELUSIONAL!!

Momo15's avatar

He clearly has dementia and should be removed from his Presidency!

Jean Conley's avatar

Too bad the republiCRAPS are in total power. If the Democrats were, he'd be gone by now--and most likely, a LONG time ago. In this matter, should have been in February, 2017.

What a f-ing idiot and what's worst his followers…

C Bowlby's avatar

According to Dr. John Gartner, frontal lobe dementia expert, he BELIEVES he IS loved by most people which is why he can't believe in polls that reflect otherwise.

I think the men's team should also decline to attend in solidarity with the women. Shame on them if they show up!

Barb O's avatar

They are MAGAts. All of them. They will suck up the attention. Glad the women aren't wasting time going there.

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

Beyond saving wasted time, which clearly it would be, they are snubbing him, upstaging him, making him look smaller than he is. Great job, Team Women

"The F.B.I. director, Kash Patel, criticized for blurring the lines between personal recreation and professional responsibility, spent Sunday celebrating the American hockey team’s Olympic victory in Milan as the bureau grappled with multiple, fast-developing crises at home. Another video clip (https://x.com/WilliamTurton/status/2025716894636929264) showed Mr. Patel chugging most of a beer and splashing the remnants into the air as the hockey players around him cheered. Then one of players, the video showed, draped a gold medal around his neck and he raised his arms in triumph." The public already knows all about the classified documents that Trump left lying around in a bathroom and ballroom. He is probably piling up more classified documents in his file boxes right now to take with him when he leaves office again. In any case, Judge Cannon cannot erase our knowledge no matter how hard she tries. She is also full of shit.

bitchybitchybitchy's avatar

She's not even minimally qualified. Another sin in McConnell 's big book of awful deeds.

Bad to the core or rotten through and through? A tough call when "wholly-owned subsidiary" also appears in a comic thought bubble inside an "I've got no proof" mind

Two federal judges in South Florida privately urged Aileen M. Cannon to decline the case when it was assigned to her last year, according to two people briefed on the matter. She chose to keep it. NYT 20-Jun-24 https://archive.is/20240620172647/https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/20/us/politics/aileen-cannon-trump-classified-documents.html#selection-4171.0-4171.196

Shortly after Judge Aileen M. Cannon drew the assignment in June 2023 to oversee former President Donald J. Trump’s classified documents case, two more experienced colleagues on the federal bench in Florida urged her to pass it up and hand it off to another jurist, according to two people briefed on the conversations. The judges who approached Judge Cannon — including the chief judge in the Southern District of Florida, Cecilia M. Altonaga — each asked her to consider whether it would be better if she were to decline the high-profile case, allowing it to go to another judge, the two people said. But Judge Cannon, who was appointed by Mr. Trump, wanted to keep the case and refused the judges’ entreaties. Her assignment raised eyebrows because she has scant trial experience and had previously shown unusual favor to Mr. Trump by intervening in a way that helped him in the criminal investigation that led to his indictment, only to be reversed in a sharply critical rebuke by a conservative appeals court panel.

Jennifer Stevens Adams's avatar

That’s why Rick Wilson wrote “Everything Trump touches DIES.”

Priscilla Martinez-Moskowitz's avatar

This idiot we call our President is delusional and quite mentally challenged. Time to invoke the 25th amendment or impeach NOW!!!!

Phil Johnson's avatar

Amen. Where do we sign up to push this idea?

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

Why not just co-opt a half dozen GOP Senators and Reps and gunk up the works? Easier

Phil Johnson's avatar

Because this is an out-of-control autocratic machine, it is already gunking up the works. We need a permanent solution to Trumpism run amok.

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

I am at a loss to know how that could be accomplished peacefully before 2028. At least what I proposed puts in front of those who watch the SOTU or YouTube or Instagram or TikTok clips of the Dems filing out (as proposed), it shows the contempt Dems express in words but always insufficiently with actions. Why not?

Phil Johnson's avatar

OK, you win. Can't refute that logic; just don't know if enough Dems will get in line in time...

Candace Lucas's avatar

someday we'll have a sane president again and he/she can rescind that c***'s decision and release Jack Smith's reports. then send her to prison where she belongs.

gail's avatar

I am quite certain the reports will be destroyed. Maybe by tonight.

Sharon C Storm's avatar

She does not have the only copy of the report, so she can’t destroy it.

Candace Lucas's avatar

I'd be willing to bet that Jack Smith has copies, and i'm sure they're in a safe place. He's no dummy.

LHS's avatar

Ah, but they live on electronically, I'm sure. And in the memory of a whistleblower, perhaps.

I wonder if Julian Assange is taking gig work

Joseph Elliot Gerard Ferguson's avatar

Eileen Cannon must be sleeping with Donald J. Trump! She is a loose cannon and needs to be removed from office and disbarred.

S H's avatar

No, she is hoping for a SCOTUS job.

Deborah Crawford's avatar

If this regime clamps on, there won't be a SC.

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

She'll have to jump the line and beat out Emil Bove, who has her by a (judicial) step

Laurie Blair's avatar

Cannon must be jailed after obstructing justice.

Jeffrey Sassenhagen's avatar

God forgive me, but I just wish he would die already. He's such a fucking disgrace.

Rita Parker's avatar

I have been hoping for this every day but then I had an epiphany. If this maniac dies before the midterms, Republicans will use that to win. Honor Trump! Vance will turn it around! And so on. So I want him to live until after the election.

Deborah Crawford's avatar

I don't think Shady is liked all that much.

Jeffrey Sassenhagen's avatar

You've got a great point

Candace Lucas's avatar

don't ask for forgiveness from God. God gave us free will so he's probably up there shaking his head and asking himself what's wrong with these dummies down there on earth that they don't get rid of the guy already.

Camille Kelly's avatar

Could he share with us exactly how to do that, peacefully?

Ronald McCallum's avatar

Hopefully before the 20th January 2027, which would limit J. D. Vance to one election as President pursuant to the Twenty-Second Amendment.

And give the American people 2 years to resolve to toss out his a$$ in Nov-2028

"With Black Americans, his approval is just 21%." I'm actually surprised it's that high. Did they poll Nicki Minaj twice?

Deborah Crawford's avatar

That is a head scratcher.

You are not alone--goes for many black people.

And are even ICE "agents". I suppose the money is what it is about for many of the ICE no matter what their ethnicity.
