Sadly we are at a time where we look to the IRG and the Iranian regime for the truth.

kevin oldham's avatar

Seemingly, more truthiness, at least. Ugh

Daniel Solomon's avatar

Not really. This is just a negotiating tactic.

If we want to make Iran stop, make oil worth less. We don't need a drop of Middle Eastern oil. "Our" refineries are war profiteers. Trump can make them cooperate. BUT HE WON'T. They are his principal donors.

Prohibit their ability to use crypto, which they use to undermine/displace the value of the dollar. .BUT HE WON'T. He's in the crypto business.

Meidas should be able to differentiate between Iranianian national interests and "concern" for their proxies. Hezbollah, not Israel, is the agressor. Contimually fire on civilian targets. Lebanon wants Hezbollah demilitarized.

johanna hays's avatar

Nothing about the Iranian situation makes sense unless we separate from Netanyahu.

Larry Gallaway's avatar

So are you recommending the Federal Government assume control over private capital, komrade? Do you have any clue how the oil and gas industry works?

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Trump and Bibi are two deranged peas in a pod. SMH.

Dee's avatar

Fuck Trump and his minions up, down and sideways.

Of course this is what was going to happen.

Trump is unfit and unhinged and unable to run this country in any way, shape or size.

Time for him to be shipped off to a deserted island.

Biggest loser if I ever saw one.

Susan Booth's avatar

And while we're at it, ship off the GOP for putting a madman in the Oval Office and continuing to support him when he has committed so many impeachable offenses. ffs.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Well said, Dee! 👏 I agree wholeheartedly!

Netanyahu is a war criminal, yet 94% of congress gladly accepts money from AIPAC.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Mind boggling, isn't it? They are corrupt too, not just the regime. We shouldn't elect a member of Congress if they take money from AIPAC. We need to get them out, especially Jeffries and Chuckles. Both need to go from the minority leadership.

I know there is a LOT going on, but we should all keep track of how the billionaires want to funnel Musk's SpaceX IPO into retirement funds to perhaps funnel retirement money out somehow or help prop up the market. Are fund managers usually required to include companies in their retirement funds? That's what they are trying to do with SpaceX.

https://finance.yahoo.com/markets/stocks/articles/spacex-ipo-could-hit-popular-101500534.html

Wendy B.'s avatar

Fund managers are usually required to NOT invest retirement funds in sketchy things like SpaceX. The motivation for doing this is indeed of great interest. What con is Musk running?

Kristopher Giesing's avatar

It's not fund managers making this decision, it's the rules for index inclusion. Fund managers would have to cease offering index funds to avoid this.

Daniel Solomon's avatar

Right. Looks like NASDAQ will bend its rules to admit Space X, thus requiring index funds to buy it.

Several ETFs already are all in.

Too much BS. We are striking Iran with Israel. Now we are merging forces..at least talking about it. This is beyond nuts. Turning our backs on NATO and making Israel our only ally. By next month we (poor, common folks) will not be able to afford gas, groceries and electricity. Unless we somehow will in 2026, we will not be able to stop or reverse any of this. Vote, even if election rigged, but check that your vote is received. This time we demand a recount if they somehow win.

Tiring, frustrating and very, very sad.

Thank you for listing the topics at the beginning of the post and then having them in bold as section headings. It would be helpful if all the news posts followed that format. There is so much going on that reading a long post with dozens of little items is like standing in front of a fire hose. Having the list at the top and section headings makes it easier to grasp and remember what's what. Thanks for providing this invaluable news source! I depend on it every day.

MeidasTouch Network's avatar

Thanks for the kind words and so glad you like the format. It has been refined with feedback from readers like you in mind.

Marianne L's avatar

Great reporting, yet I am soooo very tired of this Ugly Regime. Maybe include one uplifting story? Even once weekly??

Linda Heath's avatar

I'm sorry but I want the news. I have turned off all major news networks so I look for Meidas to keep me informed. Hopefully, they can do both.

Warrior4Justice's avatar

Agree! News please.

Marianne L's avatar

Yes, I agree with you. This is the best place to get news.

Tina Peters gets convicted of tampering with voter machines, is lucky enough to be released, without anything exhonerating her crimes and she pays it forward by spreading more lies and profiting off of her duplicity?

Any person with a decent soul would be thanking their lucky stars for a second chance, rethink their life and embrace change, but NO, being a MAGA means there is no bottom to how low one would go.

If democracy and the decent people survive trump 2.0, it's not going to be enough to reinstate fair and equitable policies; we need to prevent future MAGA's and sharpen skills on how to recognize the conditions that create them. Seriously, these kinds of people are a plague on humanity and common good, not to mention what a burden, blight and embarrassment they are to the rest of society.

Before I go any further

This administration is under the impression that if they hit us over the head enough with their total bullshit we will give in

I AM NOT GIVING IN

I AM NOT GIVING UP

I WILL NOT BE SILENCE

FUCK all of you & the horse you rode in on

BRING IT & BE SURE YOU ALL ARE READY

Warrior4Justice's avatar

WITH YOU 💯...No silence, not giving in, not giving up!!

Adam Wattstein's avatar

This is what happens when Moe (Bibi), Larry (Drunky Pants) and Curly (Trump) lead us into war except without the humor!!

Skitealwedrop's avatar

That’s exactly what they’re like. The Three Stooges was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid.

Marliss Desens's avatar

The oil markets are so gullible. How many times will they rise and fall at Trump's whim?

Nova n Oz's avatar

That's the point. The regime and pay to play cronies know in advance of Taco Trump's shenanigans. $$$

So weary of all these misfit bullies.

WE the People Should Never Forget

There are so many partisan destructive changes happening in the federal government with agencies diminished or outright eliminated particularly around voter protection that it will be a tall order for the Democrats to scale up to correct the damage that has been done to our government So a long list of restoration policies needs to done so that when figuratively the guillotine comes for Cheeto responsible government for WE the People can be restored

The handwriting is on the wall The Project 2025 experiment has failed much like Reagan’s bogus “trickle down economics” policy meant as wealthy tax breaks failed to solve the economic woes of the 1980’s, WE the People by polling are showing our animus to the Nazi Republican policies Now Nazi Peter Theil whose father was a South African apartheid Nazi supporter during WWII has fled to Argentina seeking political asylum just like thousands of his Nazi WWII counterparts, such as Eichmann and Mengele(“Angel of Death”), hoping Millei will give him protection if things go wonky

Voter memory is often short when it comes to the misery and turbulence that the destructive CNPP(Christian Nationalist Pedo Party) has wrought on WE the People and our government No Nazi Republican should be elected to public office for the next 20y Their greed to make our country a dictatorship of oligarchs should, like the Nazis in the 1940’s, never ever be forgotten, seared into the national memory

Carol Gamm's avatar

Now the IRGC is “mostly moderate “? Anything to do with Ivanka’s Baku hotel project?

Gunnar Jensen's avatar

Republicans created this. Republicans control this (by not controlling "it"). And, Republicans can end this now, but won't. Why? Because they're even more treasonous than the current occupant of the WH. How so? Because the bumbling, blubbering bozo proves his clueless, worthlessness, on a moment to moment basis; republicans know better, and choose to continue embracing treason against U.S., by doing nothing.

Camille Kelly's avatar

I agree with you Gunnar. But they won't stop the atrocities because of the 3 reasons to be a trump supporter in the first place: to get rich or stay rich, stay racist or they are inherently stupid. The rich won't end it for obvious reasons, the racists won't end it for fear that minorities, immigrants, women or lbgtq will gain leverage on the hierarchy that they see themselves above others on, and the stupid, well...that's a condition they'd have to discover for themselves and even if they suddenly recognized how trump works for himself and uses them, stupid is really hard to cure.
